Renée French is a an American cartoonist and illustrator. Her work has been widely anthologized, and she is the author of the graphic novel The Ticking.
French is also a children book author, with the pen name Rainy Dohaney .

quiet, fuzzy, vaguely uneasy pencil portraits of, yes, girls and rabbits, with some odd but deepening supplimental material. Apparently a kind of spin-off from a comic I really need to track down now. (Found by Maya at, I think, the second Brooklyn comic and graphics fest. She has a knack for pulling previously-unknown-to-us excellence out of these things).
