Eleven years ago, Mason Dumpty stole my heart and made me fall for him. Then he left me bruised and broken. Now he’s the one who’s hurt and as trainer of the Boston Revs, it’s my job to help get the center fielder back in the game.

While stretches and shoulder rubs are part of my job, it all feels different when it’s his bare skin beneath my fingers.

Falling for him again is forbidden and if we’re caught I’ll be the one to pay the price but it may be worth it if my heart is finally put back together again.

This nursery rhyme retelling is a second chance work place rom com between a baseball star and his trainer. Guaranteed HEA, with some found family, great Boston Revs Baseball team fun, and lots of laugh out loud moments.

It was really fun coming back to the Boston Revs and seeing my favorite penguin!! I also thought a nursery rhyme retelling was really creative and fun.

I really liked Rory and Mason's story! It did make me sad they weren't able to reconnect sooner but I liked how much they still cared about each other. I especially liked how much Mason cared about Rory and was willing to put her first.

If you loved The Fall Out this is a must-read! I can't wait to read more of this series and go back and read the Mom Coms. All the characters are so fun.

Thanks to Gracie York for the eARC all opinions are my own.

What to Expect:
- Novella
- Humpty Dumpty Retelling
- Second Chance Romance
- Baseball Player & Trainer
- Forced Proximity
- Workplace Romance

This was a quick and fun second-chance sports romance novella. I am a Boston Revs fan and loved immersing myself in their world. Back Together Again tells the story of Mason and Rory.

I love that this is a Humpty Dumpty retelling. Mason hits his head during a game, and due to the nature of his injury, he requires someone to keep an eye on him. Enter Rory. She is a trainer for the team who is tasked with taking care of Mason.

Their close proximity may be a challenge because Mason and Rory had a thing in high school that ended due to miscommunication. Mason let Rory get way before, but despite a relationship with Rory being forbidden, Mason won’t let her get away again.

Mason and Rory’s journey is heartwarming. I was rooting for them as they reconnected and were given a second chance at love. This novella has the perfect mix of humor, romance, and a little spice. I highly recommend Back Together Again for a delightful read.

Thanks to Gracie York (Jenni Bara and AJ Ranney) for the eARC.

Review: This book was very cute i do feel it was a bit rushed and we didn't really get to know the characters.

Mason got injured and needed physical therapy and here comes Rory and they knew each other in high school

They kissed and she thought he hooked up with a girl on the same day

So she's helping with his recovery but things get spicy between them . But rory doesn't want to hurt her job .

Mason asks to get traded but Beckett just moves her to the hockey team which she wanted anyway .

This is a super fun and cute companion novella to the Boston Revs series by @jennibarabooks . You do not HAVE to read the other Boston books to understand this one BUT I recommend it because gosh they are so good!

Mason Dumpty gets a concussion 😯 and his trainer has to stay with him while the rest of the team goes away. But his memory is becoming more clear and he realizes he knows her. He used to like her back in the day. And now they are stuck together in his apartment and the tension between them is PULLING. While this is cute and hilarious there are absolutely plenty of spicy moments to go around as well!

This was an absolute breath of fresh air for me after previously reading a pretty heavy book. It was lighthearted and fun and just what I needed.

I absolutely loved the MomComs world and the spin-offs that stemmed from it and the Boston Revs series is no exception! The banter and camaraderie is always high, the teasing funny, and the spice is mild but the romance is always adorable and sweet.

Mason and Rory were super precious together! I loved that the miscommunication only lasted a small amount of time and they dived right back into their old friendship. Because of the length of it being a novella I think that helped it feel less like cringy instalove.

As I mentioned earlier, I love the MomCons and Boston Revs universe and it was so good to see all our favourite characters again, including Puff Daddy haha. I loved that we got plenty of Beckett Langfield and Cortney Miller! Those two were hilarious trouble. The baseball team were a hoot too. I cannot wait to see their antics in the next book!

Overall this was an utterly adorable sports romance novella with no third act breakup. It was short and sweet and I’m giving it 5 stars because I enjoyed every little bit of it 🩵⚾️

When I was introduced to the Boston Revs world through The Fall Out, I knew
I’d want to read about the whole team, so when Gracie York said they were putting out a novella following Revs CF Mason Dumpty, I was here for it.

When Dumpty falls off the wall and injures his head (get it… lol), the Revs trainer needs to step in. What Mason soon realizes is that Rory, the trainer, is Aurora, the girl he was head over heels for back in high school. Their relationship as kids ended in a terrible miscommunication, but I loved that now, as adults, they got past that quickly.

However, there’s still a fraternization issue, so Mason and Rory have to find their way around that. Because once they reconnect, there’s no way these two can be forced apart again.

This novella was quick, so cute, and had the perfect sprinkle of spice. Loved the cameos from our favorite Beckett brother, Revs players, and of course Puff Daddy!

Gracie York’s “Back Together Again” was a sweet and spicy forbidden workplace novel featuring Mason and Rory.

This was a quick read, but it was also an enjoyable one! Mason and Rory were really cute together, and I was rooting for them the whole time.

Mason seemed like a really swoony, sensitive guy. It was obvious that he wasn’t interested in anyone but Rory, and I loved how much he cared about her.

Rory was such a lovable heroine as well! I could sympathize with her fears about losing her job, but I was glad she realized that some things are worth the risk.

All in all, I think that if you like sports romance novels or are a fan of the second chance/workplace/forbidden love tropes, you might enjoy Mason and Rory’s love story!

This is a sweet novella that packs a steamy punch!
There’s no major drama, it’s just a sweet former friends to lovers story.
Rory and Mason were high school friends and there was every possibility that they could be a lot more, unfortunately one of those pesky teenage misunderstandings occurs and it’s eleven years before they can finally right the wrong!
Being a novella it’s a little harder to get the connection between the two main characters but these authors do a decent job and it kept my interest.

It’s great to see some of our other favourites from the Boston Revs team and it’s a nice warm up for the next full length story.

Title: Back Together Again (Boston Revs)
Author: Gracie York
Hero/Heroine: Mason & Rory
Tropes: Second Chance, High School Crush, Sports, He Falls First and Harder, Forbidden (sort of), Forced Proximity

tw/cw: mention of a head injury, overdose (off page but mentioned)

✨the good ✨

Who knew that a retelling of Humpty Dumpty could actually be done, and done well?! Having met Mason in The Fall Out, I couldn’t wait to read his story, he seemed like such a great character. I can confirm that this was true.

When a head injury takes him out of playing baseball for some time, Mason is assigned a carer (of sorts) in the form of trainer Rory, his old high school crush. After a mix up over 11 years ago, both Mason and Rory manage to clear the air and live together until Mason has recovered. Now this was just forced proximity and second chance at its finest.

I was so happy to be back in the world of the Boston Revs, they may be my new favourite fictional sports team (even though I know absolutely nothing about baseball). Mason was such a great character, funny, sweet and a complete simp for Rory. They were such a wonderful couple and I was kicking my feet hoping they’d finally get their happy ending after an 11 year misunderstanding. The dynamic between the couple, as well as Mason’s teammates, brought the biggest smile to my face, especially the whole coat closet/cats situation.

Loved, loved, loved this, bring on more Boston Revs is all I’m saying.

✨ the bad ✨

Not a damn thing, I adore this group of characters.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.

✨overall thoughts: another fabulous addition to the Boston Revs series
✨ 3rd act break up: no
✨ heat level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
✨ star rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Back Together Again
A Novel Written By Gracie York
Fiction - Romance

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love these cute love stories based on nursery rhymes we all remember from our childhood. This is the fifth one created by the author.

This latest retelling is a return to the Revs Baseball World with appearances by some of our favorite characters from the Mom Com Series.

Mason Dumpty is the center fielder on the Boston Revs Baseball Team. He is sidelined for a while with a concussion after making a spectacular catch. With the team leaving on a road trip, the only person who can keep an eye on Mason is Rory Humphreys, a team trainer. Rory and Mason knew each other in high school and haven’t seen other in eleven years. The last time they were together did not end well. Once Mason’s fuzzy head clears from his injury, he realizes Rory is Aurora his high school lab partner. Sparks fly. With a team no dating rule, can they risk Rory losing her job if they enter into a relationship?

Be prepared to laugh with and swoon over these two characters.

“Maybe we shouldn’t, but I need to kiss you more than I need my next breath.”

This was a super fun, short, fast-paced story inspired by Humpty Dumpty.

In this book, we see how the center fielder for the Boston Revs hurts his head and shoulder while doing an impossible catch which allows him to get a second chance at love with his high school crush who is now his PT.

Even though Dumpty and Rory tried to fight their feelings because of the team's fraternization policy, the forced proximity made it impossible for them to stay away from each other. I loved the way that they were both willing to put the other first, even if they had to sacrifice or adjust their own dreams in the process.

One thing I really enjoy about this universe is the team dynamics and how they always have each other's backs, and the usual meddling of Langfield and Courtney.

Quote: “Yeah. Baseball was fun, and I loved my teammates, but when it came to where I wanted to be? There was no contest. I didn’t want to choose, but if I had to, I’d pick Aurora every dámn time.”

Back Together Again by Gracie York.

*I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I have recently discovered I enjoy the world of Sports related Rom-Coms, having read a few Hockey related ones and a couple of NFL ones obviously Baseball was the obvious next step. (full disclosure. I live in Australia. None of these sports are particularly big here. I couldn’t tell you one single rule for any of these games that is not explicitly taught in the Mighty Duck movies, ‘A league of their own’ or ‘The Blind Side.’)

I have previously read “The Fallout” by Jenni Bara and this novella is set in the same world. It follows Mason “Humpty” Dumpty centre fielder for the Boston Revs and new neck and shoulders trainer Aurora ‘Rory’ Humphreys. Turns out they let each other get away in high school and this is their second shot.

The story is sweet with a little bit of spice and will be popular with anyone who is a lover of forbidden love, workplace romances, second chances and no third act break ups. It has plenty of cameos from the Boston Rev’s world and some genuine laugh out loud moments

It's a novella so I read it in a day; the perfect holiday read while lying on a deckchair with a mojito or curled up on a couch with someone reading something infinitely more academic. This is my second book in this world, but I will definitely be checking out the rest.

This was such a fun, quick read! If you love second chance, baseball, great banter, and spice, then check this one out now!
Aurora and Mason were friends in high school and reconnect 10 years later with her being a trainer for the Revs and him being a Revs player. Mason doesn't want to miss his chance again, so he makes his move. Aurora is definitely on board, too!
I love these two! So good! I definitely recommend!!

I love a man who loves reading and collects it too. Mason is a darling in that aspect and his character is so full of warmth. I enjoyed the book as a short story of getting back together after 11 years. Mason and Rory are just amazing together and their chemistry is sweetness-overloaded, I loved it.

The fabulous writing kept me engaged from page one to the last. It covered all the bases and gave them time to fly high and fall in love. It was good to meet all the characters again and get the snippets of their lives. They never disappoint. Seeing Beckett again just fixes everything and lightens up the mood completely. He is truly a matchmaker.

It’s a 4.25⭐️ for me.

I loved being back in the Revs world with this adorable novella! I love how the authors put their own spin on Humpty Dumpty with this one and it was such a cute read.

Mason Dumpty plays for the Revs and Aurora Humphreys is one of the team's trainers. Her and Mason have some history since they went to high school together and some forced proximity brings all those feelings back into the forefront.

This was a sweet second chance romance with bonus cameos from some of our fave Mom Com/Revs world characters. The way Mason and Rory came back together was so natural and I loved them getting their HEA!

Thank you to Gracie York (Jenni/AJ) and team for the ARC!

After reading The Fall Out, I was SO excited to read what was in store for the rest of the Boston Revs, and Back Together Again exceeded all my expectations!

Mason Dumpty is a baseball player who receives an injury during a game, requiring care from one of the team's trainers, Aurora Humphreys until he recovers. Eleven years ago, Mason broke her heart, and now, despite Rory's distaste for him now, they're forced to work together until Mason has fully recovered.

Mason and Rory have such great chemistry between the two of them, the way they banter back and forth, their personalities and their conversations with one another are so well-written that it's hard to not fall in love with them yourself.

This is easily becoming my favourite entry in the Boston Revs universe! I can't wait to see what comes next for one of the only Boston based sports teams I'll ever love (alongside the Boston Bolts, of course!)!.

I love the Boston Revs series... Mason is a dream boat... He knew what he wanted all along and fought for it..
Rory is sweet. I appreciated that the miscommunication trope wasn't dragged out through the whole book...
I took off one star only because this is my first Gracie york book and.. Are they all so short? I've never received an ARC before. So it just felt a bit choppy. I wanted more on the ground information of what was going on between them and banter with the other players and of course with Beckett and Cortney.

Other than that, I did love the story.. I just wanted there to be... More of it. ♥

I honestly did not expect to fall for a man named Dumpty as hard as I did.

I adore these nursery rhyme retellings so much. They are the perfect quick read when you need something to break up your reading.

This is a second chance, forbidden, sports romance. When Mason Dumpty goes for a major play in the outfield and ends up with a major head injury he is forced to spend time with the team’s new trainer, Rory Humphries. Only for him to realize Rory is the girl who stared in all his hs fantasies.

Will the two be able to mend more than just his broken head when they are forced into each other’s company or will they only be a working relationship, you just have to read to find out.

⭐ 3.5

Okay, this was a cute second chance romance, although I have to say it didn't feel that way because they weren't really together. They were friends who liked each other, but as usual, they didn't express their feelings, and due to misunderstandings, they drifted apart (there's more to the story, so go read the book!). What I liked most about the dynamic is that there's no big drama around it; everything flowed well, and I appreciated that. It was fast, and I understand that because the book is short, but it still felt good. The two can't be together because of team policy, and they hide their relationship. The good part? There's no big drama either, and we LOVE that. I enjoyed seeing my boys, Beckett and Cortney, making mischief.

It was a story I enjoyed and had a good time with.

📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

---

Gracie York continue their nursery rhyme retellings, giving us a new, slightly smutty version of Humpty Dumpty this time!

(Though really--are there people out there with the last name Dumpty? If so, I'm very, very sorry.)

Mason and Rory's story is touted as a second chance romance--the title is doing double duty here, for their relationship and the original rhyme--though honestly, their original relationship was really more of a months-long friendship with one great kiss before BAM! it was over (for reasons that are explained early on in the story. It's essentially a misunderstanding).

Once they resolved the drama of their past, it was really cute watching them become close again and then becoming more. The forbidden workplace romance of it all made for some amusing situations as they try to hide it from their coworkers--that was a lot of fun--before they came to a pretty obvious solution to their problem, with the help of some familiar characters if you've read the Mom Coms series.

If you're a fan of the no-third-act-breakup story, Back Together Again delivers.

(Side bar re: the concussion protocol utilized here for plot purposes: interestingly enough, it was another sports romance that popped the "concussion victims need to be woken up every few hours" bubble for me--and the Cleveland Clinic confirms--there is zero health benefit for the practice; it's better to let them sleep through as long as they seem fine. I can't wait to see what new creative and even better ways sports romance writers will come up with to use injuries to bring their MCs together once they all figure it out.)

Rating: 3 1/2 stars / B+

The MomCom's and the spinoff universes these authors have created must never end! I am so in love with all of the characters and couples and Mason and Rory were such a cute and perfect addition to the Revs family.

Eleven years ago, they were both crushing on each other but neither expressed their feelings. Mason was left pinning for the one he let get away and Rory was heartbroken over the man that left her. Present day they're thrown back together after he suffers and baseball injury, as she's one of the team trainers. With his "broken head" it took him a minute to realize who she was (which hurt her heart even more) but once he did...all bets were off. He was not letting her get away a second time!

Their fun banter, and obvious deep connection was so enduring and sweet. They both wanted to be together but a team fraternization policy kept them from being able to be open about their relationship. They continued seeing eachother in secret but it became harder and harder to keep it under wraps. When they were almost caught them in the hotel room by his teammate I laughed out loud at Mason's antics to cover their tracks...and then when she was hiding in the closet...pure comic gold!

Of course, Beckett the best matchmaker in the world (IYKYK) made the moves necessary to make sure they could be together and no longer have to hide. He loves love after all. Once they got the green light they didn't waste anytime in going after their HEA that was 11 years in the making.

I cannot recommend this book enough! It was so fun, sweet (and steamy). If you've read other books in this universe you'll appreciate the cameos from other book characters, and the little easter eggs that are dropped as much as I did.

I cannot wait for more!
