Atlan Warlord Kai, Journal Entry 1578, I've searched for months. My female, my mate, appeared and disappeared like a ghost, a specter who torments me. Her scent haunts me, body and soul. My beast hangs onto control by a thread. Soon I will lose the battle with mating fever and succumb to the savage fury, the agony turning blood to fire in my veins. Soon, not even our mate will be able to save us.

Warlord Kai knows his mate is out there, somewhere on Earth. She is alone, hunted by both the Hive and the Coalition Fleet's Intelligence Core. Both want information she is unaware she possesses. Knowing she is in danger enrages his beast, pushes him ever closer to madness. There is nowhere he won't go, nothing he won't do, to find her. Protect her. Claim her.

The beast will protect her from friend and foe alike. He knows no mercy, no compromise, no doubt. One look, one touch, one moment spent with the woman destined to be his, and one word repeats like a mantra in his mind...MINE.

Such a fun read. Kai and Larkspur were perfect together and the sisters plot twist was entertaining. Indeed, it would be cool to get a novella (or whole book) from Lavender's POV. Lots of cameos, but thankfully those characters were introduced since FMC is meeting them for the first time.

That ending!!!! The nexus arc is taking off again.

I was confused in the beginning, thinking I had read this before, then realized it was the other half of the story for the last book. I like getting to continue with the sisters story in this book. Love these quick and easy stories

Kai is up and he has a lot going on. By that, I mean his beast needs him to find and claim his mate and there are some VERY BAD INDIVIDUALS trying to get their hands on her. Which is not good since that means she's in danger.

And when a warlord's mate is in danger, his beast will do anything to make sure she doesn't come to harm. (As an aside, while he'll do anything, the alligator attack wasn't instigated by Kai, it was just a sweet side effect of a bad guy going after Lark in the wrong place.)

So. Kai's in a protective mood (understatement) and Larkspur is in danger. Only, she doesn't know she's in danger. She's just a human lady who likes to take compromising pictures and sell them as a side hustle. She definitely doesn't realize that one of her pics captured something it shouldn't have. Now she has everybody gunning for her and the only one she feels safe with is the big Atlan Warlord who keeps growling MINE at her.

Man, I like these beasts. They're straightforward and more than a little bloodthirsty.

As another aside, I kinda thought we were reaching the end of this series because we've run through the Warlord group on Earth, but BOY is there some big setup for the future. Will it be part of this series? I have no idea. But THINGS ARE HAPPENING and mates are probably in danger and I AM HERE FOR IT.

If you read “Big Bad Beast” you already know about what happened at the fight club. Larkspur Linton was taking photos of the even. Which the Hive want. Why? But things don’t seem to go quite right. Kai saves his mate from the Hive and takes her with him to the Colony. But that is where everything blows up. Wrong mate. And even more, his mate is still in danger. When Kai does find Lark, his fever is full blown. But also Kai is holding something deep that is causing him uncertainty. This story really heats up fast. That is why I brought up the other book. If you read it you know Kai was hot on the trail. But what is it that the Hive and the Coalition Fleet wants in those pictures? I love Lark. You would think she would be jaded but nope. She just wants the truth. And then we have the side story about Warlord Taz and Lavender. I love the names. Very cute. And Lark actually had some valid questions that I never thought about. She had a lot on her mind. Being with an alien isn’t like home or what was once home. They both had a lot to think about. And heck yeah, Warden Egara’s is part of this one as well. Nexus is really digging in and causing more issue. This one starts getting intense. This one will definitely make you cry. It brings comfort and healing to all.

Another enjoyable story by Grace Goodwin. I knew there was a reason I collected so many of her books, as I can trust in her Interstellar Brides Program series to never let me down.
And this book was no different.
I was surprised, however, upon finding such a softer side to her Atlan species. We saw such a powerful contrast that is normally not seen, even in the books that coincide with human brides being matched to Atlan. I got so used to seeing these guys becoming an unstoppable force when in Mating Fever that encountering Warlord Kai with his family's reputable history of singing honestly caught me off-guard.
I can't wait to find out Larkspur and Lavender's connection with the Nexus unit from this story soon, it raises so many questions that leave me begging for more.
Like always.
You've outdone yourself again, Grace Goodwin. Can't wait to see what you publish next for the Interstellar Brides Program.

I love this series so much along with the other series that they come in contact with female mate. Just the word “mine” would set my heart on fire. Kai was running out of time. He knew he had to find his mate, or it would be a death sentence, what he didn’t know is he would be finding the sister. Wow talk about confusing. Only when Lavender opened her mouth and said she wasn’t who they thought and who Kai was looking for did the wheels start turning. Larkspur had no idea how much trouble she was in. Kai was going to have to save her and protect her from all things evil. The hive has found away to get even closer to the colony. This book was so exciting, but it did leave some unanswered questions. it had a happy ever after which I’m always good for, I just wish certain questions were answered.

Another great Atlan Warlord who claims his mate. I loved Lark and Kai's journey from accepting a situation they find themselves in thanks to the beast, to embracing the opportunity for a future in each other. As always, we get a teaser of the story arc with the Nexus and the Hive. I can't wait to read the next in series, no matter who needs an Interstellar Bride.
Fav Quote:
“I didn’t know beasts could sing.” “Best. Better than Kai.” I saw both versions of my mate in his eyes, both devoted, courageous males who would do anything to make me happy. I never imagined anyone like Kai. Now I couldn’t imagine life without him. “I love you.” The beast lifted me into his arms and nuzzled my neck. “Tell beast first. Good mate. Love. More than love. Mine.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again.
⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again.
⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason.
⭐- Just no.

Bad Boy Beast is the eighth book in the Interstellar Brides Program: The Beasts series by Grace Goodwin. It is another fun sci-fi romance with plenty of chemistry, sizzle, emotion, danger, action, drama, angst, aliens, tension, mystery, suspense, secrets, high stakes, and finding your fated mate/eternal mate.
Another 'beast' who found his mate only to lose her. She's disappeared. He knows she is in danger, being hunted for the information she doesn't even know she holds. And this 'beast' will do anything to find her and keep her safe. What happens makes for a fun read.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Grace Goodwin!

Another great addition to the series!

I have missed those big Atlan beasts who are so sweetly and totally devoted to their mates. ❤️

🔸️The book is action packed and has some good plot twists. We revist several old friends - it is a really nice connection between last few books from series.

🔸️I also like the emotional depth in this story.
The author seems to add this aspect more and more in her last books and I enjoy that development.

🔸️The chemistry between characters and spice is 5/5.

🔸️ Well written, fun and satysfying reading.

This story is action packed, lots of steamy romance and very difficult to put down. Kai's mate, Larkspur, is being hunted by the Hive which puts her in significant danger as well as her sister. Kai saves them both. When her images are finally put to the test, It takes Larkspur to analyze her images to find the reason the Hive is after her. Then there is the Nexus who tries to compel Larkspur to go to him but he fails. There's lots going on but both Larkspur and her sister, Lavender, find their alien mates and live happily on The Colony.

a beast’s love

Once again we have a beast who has fixated on his mates scent. This time it’s slightly off and although he has transported with her to the colony another beast has decided to claim her His own beast gives way and he realizes that his mate is still on earth. Seems like hive and coalition both want her as well. Makes for an intriguing story. Once again a masterwork by Grace Goodwin.

The Beast series

This series of Beast books has been a fantastic ride. Each of the books is a standalone story, but they build on each other. Characters from Ms. Goodwin's series visit each book as needed. I loved that there were never any gratuitous scenes. Each mating was sensual, with no "fillers" to expand the word count.
All of the characters were perfectly crafted, flaws and all.
Please take the time to get to know them all.

Kai & Larkspur

Loved BAD BOY BEAST. Glad Kai finally got his HEA. I really enjoy Grace Goodwin's BEAST series and you will too. This book contains just the right amount of suspense, fight scenes, and of course a big burly, devoted BEAST. It contains some interesting & important story lines you need to read to understand future books. I highly suggest you add this book to your library.

What a beautiful story!

Kai finding his mate, Larkspur was not an easy, or quite task, coming up on her apartment on Earth, with his team, made things very rushed. Especially with a team of Hive soldiers coming for her as well. So much happens in this book, it would take to long to even skim over the highlights. If you're reading this series, don't miss this one. I love those Atlan warriors in Beast mode! Trish. A.

Just wow!

Excellent as a stand alone though even better if you are reading the series.
Adds another dimension to the beasts that I never suspected and, maybe, a new weapon
Sooner or later there is going to be one universe shattering finale to the war with the hive. The journey is great so I'm not impatient, but the hints scattered throughout the books promise a big bang

So Good!

Kai rescues his mate, Larkspur, and her sister, Lavender, when they are being hunted by the hive because of pictures that she took. What a great story. I can't wait to see where this is going with the thing that talked to Larkspur. I loved the story, and I need and want more!

I loved this one. I was looking forward to it since I read the first one in this series, and it was very well worth waiting for. I really enjoyed it. I fell in love with Larkspur and Lavender from the first page. They are sweet, resourceful and unflapable. Kai does not know what his beast has let him for. This story is full of twists and turns and hot sexy scenes, A real good read.

The beast and the bad boy found love.

This is my first Grace Goodwin read, and it certainly won't be the last. Her storytelling is smooth and meaningful. The characters in this story are likeable and engaging. At the end, along with the very satisfying HEA, she introduced an alien character that I suspect we'll hear more from in the future.

Espionage!

A scheming Nixis Unit that had been held in captivity by Commander Helion for study suddenly finds out that the Unit had stayed to infiltrate all their computer records, especially about Human females. Luckily, the female in question was able to mentally escape and by singing her mates Atlan Beast song that he had sung for her once.

I never get tired of this series! I wish we got to spend more time on the colony in this one, but the earth scenes are great! It's still a fun read as always! Grace Goodwin does so well connecting all the books and bringing in previous characters. I wonder if Lavender will get her own book.

And more...

And more is revealed. I have more questions and can't wait for more answers. This story has the beast romance you expect, but the over arching story has me fascinated. Plus I need to go back and re-read the fight club story.

think title is a little misleading

It should have bad woman. He was a sweetie pie. She was the risky and daring person.
Loved glimpse of other characters and their families.
Only thing I really wanted is another few chapters of her and sister adapting to life with their Beasts

Who would of thought that Kai could sing? Glad he found his mate! And the plot thickens around the Nexus and some of the brides. Can't wait to see where the next story goes.

Bad boy beast

I guess they were going for the alteration in the title, but he wasn't much of a bad boy lol, other than the whole beast and that thing they do with the enemy, her gave golden retriever energy to me. Still loved him though, lovely emotional ending there too.

Easy read with a lot of spice and out of this world concept.

The idea that these “alien warriors” would die of a broken heart gave the stories an interesting twist and kept me coming back for more to ultimately finish the series!
