Lovely historical romance novel
Emma has run away from marriage, leaving two gents at the alter and because of her choices, society doesn't accept her. She has become shunned by the ton and a disgrace.
Her father has chosen the route of ultimatums - either get married or be disowned. He leaves her very little options because a lady in her time and status had very little choice.
Silas has just returned to society and he knows to win the tons favour, to be in their good graces, he has to make some changes and one sure fire way is getting married.
He only wants a marriage of convenience and figures Emma is a perfect choice. Her status makes her a sure fire easy target, she's not likely to decline
Decline she does but then comes to the realisation that he may be the only option, she may have to consider him - she has little choice at this point
Silas is sure that after 1 week with him, she wouldn't want to leave
Both our heroine and hero are in situations that leave them with little options and less control. They both have to consider doing what they must for survival, even if it's not their true choice
They both don't realise in the beginning that what they both need is each other, that what was missing was the other. The unfortunate turns out to be fortunate in this love story.
Very nice story, plot was good, lovely H&H. Truly enjoyed their story and reading their love develop and seeing these two find their HEA

The writing is very good. It started out well. Then it went from a marriage of convenience to a fake engagement. That didn’t make sense and didn’t solve either of their problems. He was super aggressive in seducing her, even though he wasn’t going to marry her. Of course, he’s so hot her brain shut down and she was hypnotized by hotness and just did whatever he wanted. Gross. So, I was super annoyed and skimmed from 40% to 70%. Then it changed back to a marriage of convenience because they wanted to go all the way. Turns out the writing was good, but I didn’t like the story at all. The villain’s reasons were also lacking. Of course he doubted her right up until the end. Honestly, once she went to his estate, it was all downhill from there. I’m really disappointed.

Very well written by this author. Full of love, romance, intrigue, steam, suspense, mystery, society, emotions, families and many twists. Emma is a lady who has run from marriage twice leaving society to refuse her. Silas has been away from society and wants to find a wife in name only. Both have different wants but really need what the other offers. She does refuse him but after her fathers threats, she needs to change her mind. After spending time together , they both have feeling for each other. A really good page turner that will not allow you to put it down to do anything. Would recommend to everyone.

Expect the Unexpected
I enjoyed this story. It is well-written. It is quite steamy in parts. Emma had run away from two weddings and was in disgrace. She met Duke Silas and they agreed to have a week of getting to kno each other and pretend it was a courtship. They agreed it would not lead to marriage but their feelings for each other were strong. There were secrets, abductions, imprisonment and attempted murder before Silas and Emma are safe to plan their future. Read on and enjoy.

Passion and love from the first chapter through the last chapter.
I love the story development, but, most of all I absolutely love Silas' personality and the winks, the whispers and his teasing. Two of my favorite parts of the book were, what he did at the table, brushing his knee on hers relentlessly, and the other was when he stormed out to tell her she shouldn't laugh with other men when when she was his.
You are an excellent writer and I can't remember when I've enjoyed a book more, thank you.

Another charming, steamy regency by Sally Vixen. I really enjoy her novels. I like the way she incorporates characters from previous novels and integrates them into the current story. The novel was well written and the author’s characters are believable for the regency romance genre. There is romance, humor and mystery and a few surprises. The ending is satisfying all the way around. I look forward to her next book.

The heroine has backed out of two marriages and her father gives her a month to get married or else. The hero has returned to society and needs a wife so he proposes. At first she refuses, but later decides to accept. They both aren’t really looking for love, but love finds them anyway. It was an entertaining read.

Exceptional Storytelling!!!
Love the main characters in this story; Si!as and Emma. He sufferered a traumatic event that shape the person he would become. She refused to follow the dictates of society. Together they became what both truly wanted.
Also what a dramatic twist, never once did I see it coming. Hugely Recommend!!!

Another excellent book
I read many, many books. This one kept my interest easily. A disgraced run away bride and a grumpy hero. The descriptions of their feelings were so real, I felt I was there looking on. I received this free book for an honest review.

Excellent Story!
I loved the story, but it had way too many graphic scenes for my taste. I loved the plot, loved the characters, and the intrigue.. I kept having the picture of Julia Robert’s in the movie “Runaway Bride” in my head.

Love the books! I really liked how Silas & Emma relationship progressed, I will never hear the word fascinating the same again & really appreciate her relationship with Nora will to always be there for each other. Emotional & entertaining

Not for me couldn't finish
Sorry this one was just too much, Main characters were incredibly ott arrogant, non sensical, confused and I couldn't finish reading the story. 3 stars as the writing and back story was an interesting premise.

First time reading a book from this author, I really loved this book. Read it in less than a day. Loved the MMC, unapologetic and bold. The FMC was alright too.
