We’re back together again and ready for our happily ever after. Except, there is the small issue of Roxana not being nearly dead enough for my liking, and there may be a murderous half-dragon plotting against me in another realm. Also, our charge isn’t adapting to life in Mississippi as quickly as we hoped…and don’t get me started on Colt and his ridiculous infatuation with Grayson’s chyld. (Why did I bust my rump getting him home again?)
Did I mention that two of my men are playing a dangerous game of chicken and I’m about ready to lock them up overnight and see if they end up dead or bonded come morning?
Yup, that HEA has gotta be right around the corner.
First of all let me say that MYM Part 1 - Book 4 of the House of Marchese Series have met all my expectations. Make sure to read the previous 3 books before diving into this one. 😊
Before I go into my feedback be warn of any triggers you may have and pay attention to the author’s warnings. It is okay not to like some things expressed in this book but it is definitely worth reading, kept my attention and I enjoyed reading it.
One of the things I love is all the community building in this series. You not only get connected to the main characters but you will get attached to the side and supportive ones too. You will be drawn in and care about their well being too. The author Sarah nicely pulls you into all the drama, banter, puns on words and most definitely the humor. 😂 It is in my opinion well written and flows very nicely.
You actually can feel connected and will be rooting for some of the characters while at the same time shake your head at their antics and experience an array of emotions. You will get lost in the story, emotionally involved whether it is good or bad and just wish to keep reading and wanting to get to the end.
Some of the chapters are intense but you will enjoy the continuation of the story and various development of each of the characters. You will understand or be frustrated or even associate/relate with some of the things and feelings that the characters are experiencing and the real world connections of dealing with a lot of crazy stuff, feelings and inadequacy.
Then there are the various relationships. Loved the sweet endearing moments between Gray and Sunday. Doubts and insecurities of Grayson and Xavier, the quirkiness and humor of Sunday, Tomas’ hurt/disappointment, Ben’s fear and the heat (whew did I say heat..I think that’s too mild a word) between all of them.
There are so many hilarious moments that I can not spoil and you will just have to discover for yourself but I am over here dying with laughter and ROTFLMAO. All I can say is the heat is volcanic for so many reason and there is a lot. 😉😉
Be warn there is a chapter on BDMS which is important to the main characters that may make some uncomfortable. If you are uncomfortable with it just skip that chapter as this book is a definite read. It will make you feel all sort of things.
It definitely kept my attention and I did not want to stop reading and so I binge read all 48 Chapters in less than 48 hours and now I can’t wait for MYM Part 2.
Throughly enjoyed Sarah’s storytelling. It will make you feel what they are feeling .. the love, attraction, infatuation, frustration, maybe some anger/annoyance and it is okay to not agree with all of it.
PS: The cliffhanger at the end. Let just say that person needs to suffer in Part 2. I would definitely help and be the first to count the ways to appease and get rid of my inner monster. 😉
My 2024 started with finding a hidden gem - Sarah Reynolds. So it was just a happy coincidence to have in my hands the finale of the Marchese saga at the end of the same year. I am in love with Sarah's exceptional writing and the way the descriptions of characters and actions come alive on page. Her books are a lot more than just pages, describing a story. They are laced with the author's sharp and witty sense of humor and even the dark vibes are alight within in a special way. But more than everything I love Sunday - she is one of my favorite FMC and her fighting, unbreakable spirit that always finds the good in a bleak situation, her unshakeable conviction that everything could be achieved and how she bulldozes her own path in a world that was unknown to her, have no competition. And finally, finally we have Grayson back / oh, I wanted to str@ngle him for falling into Roxana's clutches so badly/. My girl though? She came out of the battle like it was nothing but drinking tea in the madness of Wonderland. Actually Sarah's world-building is exactly that - a phenomenal, outstanding blend of dark and light in a way I haven't seen before. Ah, the cliffy at the end... Let's skip the anticlimactic feeling of it and focus on the fact that we have Extended ending!Yes, we have more! Because Sunday just have to go in her own unique and unparalleled style - with a BANG! Do we want and ending of the Marchese actually? Personally, I don't - I really don't want to say Good bye to Mishka, Ben, Xavier, Rurik and all the amazing cast of characters.
This is technically the fifth book in The House of Marchese Saga (including the Tricking Death novella that you should absolutely read) and it is just as sensational as the other books. There is a synopsis of the previous book at the beginning of this one that is helpful, especially if your memory isn’t great – like mine.
I teared up getting to be back in this world again and reading about the characters I love so much. This book didn't disappoint, either! It's another thrilling installment that I devoured with the quickness.
We get to see the mate group back together again, and they deserve it after all they've gone through thus far in the series (Roxana’s always up to something and I hate her with a passion). Just like in the previous books, the complexity and realness of the characters draws you in, and all the main characters are well-developed as their own people. Grayson gets his spoiled billionaire snark on and it cracks me up. Ben is struggling some and my heart goes out to him. My heart also goes out to Tomas, but you’ll have to read to see why.
The easter eggs also continue to who Grayson was when he was alive. I love the spice and how the characters interacted while setting those scenes because it isn't just smut, it added to and advanced their relationships and their bonds. The pacing is great with lots of action, and the humor is excellent as always.
Check the trigger warnings, but all potentially triggering situations are handled well.
Fans of the Southern Vampire Mysteries (the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series) or of Laurell K. Hamilton will love this series. I cannot recommend this book and the entire series enough!
So we reach book 4 and it’s a part one…..SMH. There were some typos (Chapter 31 was labeled asXavier’s yet it was Sunday’s) We have lots of angst in this my God, you’d think it was book 1 not book 4. Sunday, Grayson and Tomas were sooooo arrrggghhh and then Ben 🤷🏾♀️ it seemed like he was either depressed or was waiting for the other shoe to drop then nothing on his mental state again. It’s starting to get predictable and not in a nice way😔 Let’s see if the next book is actually the last one coz there are several loose threads some of which could have been closed in this book but nah we had “scenes” which I actually skimmed at some point…..unbelievable but yeah, they felt unnecessary (can’t believe I’m the one writing this!) Still grateful for the “Previously” chapter though, kudos on this Ms Reynolds, and thank you!
I have enjoyed this series a lot. No but, I truly enjoy it. I loved the Tomas development in this one, with Grayson, Sunday and as a character over all. Silas is what gives me pause in this book, he's giving "I'm an easily manipulated man child and i should be stabbed multiple times with a fork, in the eye." Maybe that's just me, I don't know, not his biggest fan. I'm excited for the next book and I'm hopeful that it won't be the last one, ESPECIALLY if Sunday does decide to tolerate Silas existence, I'ma need a whole 500 pages just dedicated to the groveling he is gonna have to do 😈😁

This book was WILD, let me tell you. Twists and turns are all over the place and kept me guessing in the most fun way. More spice, more bonding, and more secrets come to light. It ends on a cliffhanger but that shouldn’t be a surprise if you’ve read the rest of the series. New information has changed my stance on some characters and there are things happening that I am VERY curious about 👀 Can’t wait for the next book to see what’s going to happen next!
This book was action packed from beginning to end! There was tension, drama, and the guys all back together again! Grayson is still my fav but I really wanted to kick his butt too in some places!I absolutely cannot wait for the conclusion to this series! Also, the cliffhanger is a doozy but the next book is out very soon!
I absolutely loved this book, the story has had me captivated from the beginning and this book is no different. The cliffhanger at the end has me dying for the next book to be released just to know what happens next. I would 100% recommend giving this book a read.
Meet Your Maker - Part One: The House of Marchese Saga, fourth book in this series by Sarah Reynolds. I just love Sunday. She's a strong, smart FMC. Always trying to do the right thing. The ending has a cliff hanger - I need the next part ASAP!
Sunday and her people are absolutely amazing. I love every single one of them! Every character is amazingly well written. The world building has been 😘 I can not wait for part 2!
Sarah has done it again! With another amazing instalment to the House of Marchese saga. We see Sunday getting all her mates back in one place, for good… hopefully although knowing her maybe not!
Was a fantastic read yet again had me laughing, crying and throwing hands at Grayson!!! Can’t wait to read part 2!!
It ticks so many of the boxes that make a great series for me: A well written FMC, Sunday has a full personality and quiet strength - she could be real, you could meet her if you were lucky, and it's pretty certain you would like her.
Four (maybe...) very different characters with various abilities making up the polycule relationship, all fascinating in their own way, and of course hot af! Rep for enby and bi/pan people, which is always a good thing to me.
A full cast of equally interesting characters - from Sunday's family to the bad guys, they're all fully fleshed and present.
Excellent world-building, a lot of which is revealed to the reader at the same time as Sunday experiences things. It works really well, never feels like an awkward info dump, or like you really need to know something that hasn't been shown.
