Toji and Momo are not a good couple, and now I’m on the Kiley train (although he has some issues, too). This was a satisfying read, especially regarding Sae’s lies.

This volume was definitely better with all the swimming races in it; I looooove the line artwork and inking in this book. The toxic dysfunctionality of Toji and Momo is teeth-gritting.

Volume 3 clocks in as much shorter than it's predecessors... However, it's still packed with drama! Momo and Toji are no longer together as Toji can't see through Sae's lies...and she's not done with Momo yet! Sae volunteers Momo for the school swim meet and convinces the rest of the girl's to sabotage her. Momo must battle the belittling of her classmates and cruel pranks such as having her clothes soaked and her bathing suit strap snapped before the meet. Kiley is the only one who's there for Momo...in the locker room that is; after an awkward encounter with Momo in a state of undress, Kiley shows his warmer side and affectionately holds Momo and gives her the genuine boost of confidence she needs. And when Toji makes an unexpected return, Kiley sets it up so he hears Sae's true intentions. The ice queen is exposed and the class abandons her, finally realizing Momo isn't all that bad. The cliffhanger however, is Toji asking for a second chance and Momo flat out turning him down.
So, this volume is ridiculously short but clearly still jam-packed. The artwork is stunning, Ueda pays real close attention to eyes and it pays off. Switching from intricate scenes to cheap-looking flat cartoons, the artwork ranges from beautiful to juvenile. Still loving this re-read!

Stlh menebar kebohongan tentang Momo ke seluruh sekolah, Momo di-bully abis2an ama tmn sekelasnya. Namun akhirnya kebusukan Sae terbongkar di depan seluruh tmn kelasnya, berkat Kairi/Kiley. Skrg giliran Sae yg dijauhi tmn2 sekelasnya. Toji ingin jadian balik dgn Momo, sayangnya Momo udah ogah. Haha, rasain si Toji dan Sae.

Finally! Momo can finally get some piece of mind, and Sae gets outed as being the biggest lying bitch ever. It's honestly amazing how satisfying that was to read lol. To be perfectly honest though, this volume did quite a lot to make my heart sway towards Kairi (that hug is everything!), but part of me still really likes Toji, and how soft he is. Oh the dilemma!

I was wondering if I would get tired of the back and forth between Toji and Momo but I love it! I can't wait to read all of these and try the change of heart series. I am also curious to discover Sae's story.

Some of the story's potential was regained. Momo's scheming ex-best friend, Rae, is exposed for what she really is. Unfortunately, however, Momo goes back to the boyfriend who constantly didn't believe her word over Rae's. Unhealthy relationship at its best.

Toji is trash. Kiley is growing on me. The amount of bullying is ridiculous, more so than usual. If bullying is really such a problem in Japan, it's shocking anyone manages to graduate, but I think (hope?) that manga exaggerates it. Seriously, the bullying in high school manga gets insane.

Moc pěkná kresba, která se s každým volumkem zlepšovala. Jen se mi zdálo, že se někde v polovině změnily boty a trochu školní uniforma. Ale to je jen takový malý detail.

Zajímalo by mě, co měly naznačovat ty kresby na konci každé kapitoly. Momo na nich vypadala jako modelka, díky tomu vkusnému a draze vypadajícímu oblečení. Zprvu jsem si myslela, že to mají být nápovědy o tom, co se bude dít dál, ale vyšlo najevo, že s příběhem nijak nesouvisí. Což ze začátku vůbec nebylo jasná, takže mě to několik volumek hrozně mátlo.

Hlavní hrdinku Momo jsem ze začátku měla poměrně ráda, ale postupně se moje sympatie k ní pomalu mizely. Avšak mizely jen po krátkou dobu a můj vztah k ní byl stále mírně pozitivní. Obdivovala jsem ji za některá z jejich rozhodnutích a za to, jak zvládala nátlak od okolí. Někdy od čtvrtiny příběhu jsem ji najednou nechápala, dokonce jsem se nemohla dobrat k tomu, abych jí odpustila její činy, přestože tam byla zmínka o tom, že jí samotné přijde její chování divné.

Sae jsem nesnášela. Ze začátku to měla podle mě autorka v úmyslu, pak její chování začala omlouvat a my jsme jí měli odpustit. Pořád ale dělala špatné věci, díky kterým jsem ji nesnášela čím dál více. Úplně na konci se sice najednou chovala hrozně hezky, a dokonce pomáhala hlavní hrdince a ostatním. Dokonce i když udělala pár dobrých skutků, tak jsem jí nemohla odpustit, jelikož mi to nepřišlo uvěřitelné, aby se takhle zčistajasna změnila.

Příběh mě stále docela bavil i přesto, že tam byli krávoviny, které mě hrozně štvaly. A nepochopila jsem Momino přecházení od jednoho kluka ke druhému, protože to bylo kvůli prkotinám. Jako když se to stalo poprvé dalo se to poměrně dobře pochopit, ke všemu když to bylo i na delší dobu.

Žádnému z kluků jsem nefandila, neboť mi ani jeden nepřišel sympatický či aspoň dostačující. I když jsem asi měla radši Tojiho, jelikož to byla Momina první láska a zároveň mi to aspoň připadalo trochu opravdové.

Nečekala jsem, že tu budou i nějaké temné věci, které mě přinutí cítit znechucení nad lidstvem ( je ale fakt, že u mě to jde celkem snadno :D). Ale nevím, jestli je to plus či mínus, protože mi to nepřišlo moc uvěřitelné. Stejně jako to počáteční šikanování Momo. Ze začátku jak ji všichni nemají rádi, ale pak se najednou objeví holky, které řeknou, že za vše vždy může Sae, začnou se k ní všichni chovat hrozně mile a k Sae ošklivě. A to při tom od začátku věděli, kdo je k tomu podněcuje.

Obálky se mi nelíbí. Musím ale přiznat, že některé trochu dobře vypadají. Stále nechápu, proč tam Momo vypadá jako modelka. Myslím kvůli tomu oblečení a pózám.

Okay, so I see some growth happening with the characters. Slight spoiler alert if you like sae (but rlly not an actual spoiler nor why would you like sae). Hmm I’m sure there are some fans out there of hers possible. Since there’s fans of everything. But I’m so glad this book revealed her to people. I can’t even say she won’t continue with her antics because not sure where this story will go. I have very little patience with many of the events & attitudes with this manga as previously mentioned in my previous reviews. This just has a very old attitude with a lot of things & not the good kind of feel to it. Although, with her not just falling back into toji’s arms I’m intrigued where this could go. And the fact that Sae’s main antics should be over. I was afraid the entire thing would be about Sae. I’m like she just needs to leave.

I wouldn’t say I’m invested now, but I do feel only slightly better if I did decide to continue. I only read up to here because my library had ebooks of them, plus I could finish them super quickly. I will only continue this because it is a short series & if my library carried the rest. If not then I would drop this & never look back. Even if I were to finish the series, I plan to never reread. Would I recommend this now? Still a hard no, but as I mentioned, I would like to see Momo’s decisions. Hoping to see character growth, but most likely will just get more nonsense unneeded drama.

Trigger warning for bullying.

Volume 3 brings the aftermath of Momo and Toji's relationship. Struggling with her feelings, Momo surprisingly finds an ally in the least likely place!

I really enjoyed volume 3. Momo gets accepted by some of her classmates as she competes in swimming races and finally finds a friend in Kiley. The ending is completely relatable and I'm eager to read volume four.

Je me remettrais à commenter à propos du manga lorsque j’en viendrais aux volumes que je n’ai pas lu. Étant donné que j’ai déjà regardé l’anime, tous ses premiers tomes ne me sont pas inconnus donc je n’ai pas grand chose à commenté.

Tout de même je recommande totalement ce manga, c’est une pépite et encore une fois, il en vaut le détour !

Peach girl vol 3. was good. omggg the drama. Toji's constant gullibility when it comes to Sae is truly frustrating! After everything she's done, it's annoying that he keeps listening to her lies. I know it's part of the drama, but it's hard to root for him when he still can’t see the truth.

Jesus Christ I used to think this was real life when I read it in high school lol
