Rate this book
There’s an instant flame between Ivory and Rome that will either continue smoldering, or burn them to the ground. Hungry hearts fall fast in this instalove, single mom romance.

Ivory presents like a pulled together hairstylist who never misses a beat. Her best friend, Lila, is the only one who knows about the struggles she faced during her passionless marriage. It’s been a year since Ivory left her ex-husband, and she’s so thirsty for passion, she’ll do anything to get it.

Rome’s fiancée left him two years ago for another man. After that, he closed himself off never wanting to feel unworthy again. He likes his life as a lobsterman. Spending days on the ocean and going home to a frozen meal alone means he’ll never get his heart broken again. Then, his aunt Nan gets involved by setting up an online dating account for him. Rome hates the idea, and doesn’t know he’s about to meet an amazing woman who makes him feel things he never knew existed.

Rome feels like Ivory’s missing puzzle piece. But when his ex fiancée comes back to proclaim her love, will it make Rome see what he shares with Ivory, or will it tear their new love apart?

Fans of Hope Ford and Mia Brody will eat up this delicious small town, instant love story.

QUICK and STEAMY, this cute romance is the perfect July book to start off the month! My fourth book I’ve read by the author, and will continue to read her quick romances! FINDING YOU is the first book in the SECOND ACT series and follows Ivory works as a hairstylist and at the age of forty, her life is a little messy. After she left her ex-husband, she still thirsty for passion. That’s when she’s get a date by Rome Parker, a hunky lobsterman who actually didn’t wanted to date, until he sees Ivory’s photo on a dating site. Rome feels Ivory is his missing puzzle piece, but when his ex-fiancé comes back to town, will he keep Ivory? A quick and steamy romance that is a great beach read! Recommend!

3.5-4 stars, i can't decide.

i love how different these characters are, you have a big burly lobsterman & a super busy & organized mom of 2. they come from different worlds but they are just as passionate & romantic, & honestly they really are on the same wavelength.

it's definitely an instalove story but i'm not mad at it because you can see how rome is opening his heart to love again while ivory is ditching the flings & trying to get to know rome more. i love that aunt nan set rome up & is trying to get him out there again i thought that was a cute touch that his aunt stepped up to raise him after his mom passed when he was 20.i love how both of these characters come to appreciate themselves & each other without compromising any part of themselves. in each of their past relationships they had to put themselves in a box or prioritize pleasing their partners, & you can see how they work through those insecurities to give their relationship their all.

i wasn't expecting hope to pop up like that, i was definitely surprised, but it made sense to show that rome & ivory are serious about each other & there's no reason to be insecure.

i cannot stand the nickname braids though, oh my goodness that nickname is not great. i get it though it's quirky & fitting for ivory, but not cute.
