This is such a good book.
The banter is still everything. Callie and Liam are professional banter-ers I think.
The story line hooks you and then you are just in it. Like can’t put it down in it.
I love dark romance typically, and normally read the killers part of the story, it’s cool to have an actual engaging story from the cop side of it.
Normally the police romance books are to sappy for me, and to far off the mark of reality, but this one was well researched, and written so well.
I very much would recommend this book!

Just like I said about Book 1! SPEECHLESS! This entire Duet was worth the 16 hours of non stop reading. I ignored the entire world to devour this duet! It was so good! I don’t even know words to describe how much I loved & enjoyed this duet! Book 1 left me all kinds of emotions and made me cry (which is extremely hard to do cause I am NOT a crier and everyone who knows me knows I NEVER cry) but Book 2 literally gave me all the happiness I needed in life. I felt like I wasn’t even apart of the human world anymore. I swear I was with Callie & Liam the entire time I read this! I cannot love this enough! If we find a way to wipe memory I’d gladly sign up just so I can reread this Duet and feel those emotions all over again for the first time! It was done perfectly! I have recommended it to everyone I know because it that good of a book the entire world should know about it! This was the best spicy cop/detective enemies to lovers that I have ever read! It’s worth all the hype! It’s definitely like one of those cop drama shows on TV that I fan girl out over!! So, please do everyone a favor and enjoy this wonderfully written spicy cop Duet!!

SPOILERS!!
Did I have to wait 2 years for this release? Yes. Was it absolutely worth it? YES. Ughhhhh it was such a perfect ending!! The trauma, the attraction, the mystery with the added bonus of forced proximity?? I loved every minute. The spice was even better which I didn’t think was possible.
Sometime when it’s been awhile since the last book, I read it and find that the characters are suddenly completely different when time hasn’t passed much in the story. Bothers the crap out of me but this was not the case! There was definitely growth within the characters but it was gradual as it should be and again made the characters more realistic.
Fucking Owen the little shit!! I hated him all over again lol but the ending was perfect and now I have a book hangover. 😂
I loved hearing more about Sophie and adding Maddie and Dave(dan?) into the mix. So excited there will be stories about them!
Thank you for a roller coaster of a duet and the happily ever after. 💜

“And I would happily walk barefoot across a field of broken glass just to be shot down if it meant a chance to stand by her side one more time.” -Liam Chandler

And boy, did Liam and Callie trample through broken glass, ropes and chains, psychotic stalking serial killers, two-faced bosses, and their own stubborn-as-a-mule mentalities to finally find the finish line they both needed and deserved.

😮‍💨 We made it.

If you’re looking for SPICE, well… You’re in luck. It starts on page 1, sentence 1 (all hail Queen Caitlyn 😘🤌🏼).

If you’re looking for that book that creeps up and up and up and finally takes a drastic fall to the destination you crave like the wildest roller coaster you’ve ever been on, you’re in the right place.

Liam and Callie have my heart! I can’t wait to see where the adventure goes with my girl, Sophie. 😍

I loved this even more than the first of the duet.
I suspected who the killer was from the beginning of book one but was successfully thrown into second-guessing that a few times. Seeing that play out and him getting caught in the end was 🤌🤌
Also, seeing Liam and Callie get their happy ending...boy, oh boy. I'm so happy about that.
Also, the spice improved even more. The first books spice was good, but this ones spice was next level. It may be the addition of slight kink into it, but it was so enjoyable to read.
Truly enjoyed this one from start to finish.

This was the first I’ve ever read a law enforcement romance book with mystery and loved it! It was refreshing to read. Far warning, please read the author’s note/content warning ahead of time. You WILL be frustrated with this duet because of the main characters, there is miscommunication and toxicity but it is so worth it. It kept me engaged and eager to finish quickly. Once you find out the killer you will be shocked but also like “I KNEW IT!”. This duet was a major rollercoaster ride with so many emotions. Highly recommend!!

Just as good as the first one. I was so caught up in the Double Standards that I didn't waste time to see how their story ended. I literally wanted to crawl into this book and give the MMC and FMC my two cents as well has punch the douchebag villain in the face. I loved it and cant wait for my copy to get here for the next story!

2 🌶

I ended up liking the MMC in this book, but the FMC remained unlikable for me. The miscommunication between these two slowly improved from the 1st book. No big shockers or plot twists in this one. Does leave things open for the spin-off series for a side character.
