Can the Chosen One face the truth about himself before Evil annihilates everyone he cares for?
Toby’s power was unleased before he was ready, so the Time Keeper banished him into the distant past. As best friend, Lorn isn’t about to let his feline partner face an unknown fate without him, finding a way to force the Time Keeper to reveal Toby’s whereabouts. Unfortunately the only way to get to him is to convince both the Malkin Librarian and the Huntress to join forces and steal a powerful Artifact to send them all back in time—with deadly consequences. Now they must survive the Truth… or die trying.
Just like the rest, I did enjoy this book and I love the world and the interesting path this series went in. However, not fond of the ending, not so much of what happened, but maybe more how it happened? I think it could have been done differently. Did enjoy the interesting spin on the tale of Cain and Abel, though. I also would have preferred more relationship building, which is a key component that I loved in the other books. I love Lorn and Toby's friendship, it was just really lacking here. For the others as well, which made the ending all the stranger. Despite that, it was a fun read and adventure, just like the others.
