Wonderful first volume of combating the seven deadly sins. An excellent book for parents to read to their children and discuss. My children enjoyed the story very much, as well as the included QR codes for supplemental listening. We’re looking forward to making our way through the series!
This book is tiny. I read it in a day. It's also so good. It's a great way to teach children about the sin of pride and how to overcome it.
Dragon Slayer Maxim for Kenodox, the Red Dragon of Pride: "Try your best, let God's grace do the rest."
BATTLE CRY FOR KENODOX Beware of the dragon all dressed in red. His pride and arrogance can make a soul dead. He prowls like a lion all through the night, But he's really a coward, afraid of the light. He is crushed by the woman, the one full of grace, She brought forth the Savior of the whole human race. Her weapon is modest, I hope you can see, You must master it too, it's humility. There's armor that leads to life's true elevation, A protection from pride, the helmet of salvation.
My boys (8, 6, & 4) enjoyed listening to this read aloud. It was a super quick read with simple concepts to follow. It left a bit of room for parents to discuss the topic outside of the book. I appreciated the Catholic approach of vices and virtues.
