I won this in a Goodreads giveaway and the illustration on the pop-ups is STUNNING. This book is one I will revisit again and again

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. the package arrived damaged but the book was still in good condition. the pages for the pop-ups don't lay flat. there are only three pop-ups in the book. it's branded as wicked but it really does not give me wicked Vibes and I don't feel like the story is anywhere near enough to have it associated with wicked story line. but the quality of the book seems nice with thick pages and a fabric cover. I don't know how much this would sell for at a store, but I probably would not purchase it at whatever price it's offered. at least two of the pop-ups are nice and tall, making it a bit more impressive, But overall not as intricate as like a Sabuda pop-up book, which I was kind of expecting.

This book was wonderful.
I got this book as a gift, so I didn’t know what to expect going into it. After reading it many times, I honestly still can’t believe how amazing this book is.
Even though this book is only small, it is overflowing with wimsy. I loved learning about the history of Oz and the arrival and rule of the Wizard, and I adored that this story was told via a poem. This was not something I would ever have thought of, but after reading this book, I can’t imagine the story being told in any other way.
Adding to the beauty of the story were the stunning illustrations that filled every page. The illustrations were bright and bold with intricate details that not only complement the story being told but elevated it to a whole new level.
Given that this is a Pop-Up book, I would be remiss not to talk about the fabulous Pop-Up pages. While few in number, these pages make this book extraordinary. Each of these pages is multi-layered and completely mind-blowing in there creativitity. I have spent so much time just studying these Pop-Up pages, and I am still captivated by them.
This is one of those books that I am proud to have on my bookshelf, and I look forward to re-reading it many mnay times in the future.
