Actus has been writing fantasy stories since the age of twelve, and he's been telling them since he could talk. He's currently working on three main series - Morcster Chef, Steamforged Sorcery, and My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror. You can find his works on RoyalRoad & Patreon as well as on Amazon.

In addition to his passion for writing, Actus is capable of clearing a two story building with a single jump. That isn't true, but writing about himself in third person gives Actus delusions of grandeur.

I had no idea what to expect with this one and picked it up only because of “Eldritch Horror” being in the title, but I think this might be one of my new favorite books??? Actually can’t believe how much I liked it, and it’s one of the breeziest reads I’ve had all year.

MY BEST FRIEND IS AN ELDRITCH HORROR, an engaging introduction to the LitRPG genre, and I found it entertaining. It's my second venture into this unique world, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. The protagonist, Damien, is a compelling character whose journey I quickly became invested in. His struggles and growth resonated with me.

The story is delightfully bizarre, offering a fresh take on fantasy elements that keep readers guessing and engaged. If you enjoy stories that push the boundaries of traditional fantasy, this one certainly delivers.

The dialogue is particularly noteworthy—lively and infused with an edgy wit that adds depth to the characters' interactions.

While the descriptions throughout the story could benefit from a bit more detail to fully immerse the reader in the world, the well-executed illustrations certainly help bridge that gap. They add a visual dimension that enhances the experience, bringing crucial scenes and characters to life in vibrant detail.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first volume of the MY BEST FRIEND IS AN ELDRITCH HORROR light novel series—an exhilarating ride that I highly recommend to fellow readers looking for a blend of humor, horror, and fantasy. —★★★★★

👦🏻reviews: I was expecting a graphic novel and even though it is not the story is convincing. While reading I can sense the character’s actions and plans. Also the plot to destroy the world but failed because Damien made mistakes followed the storyline with better twists. This is an easy read and it has that manga-ish feel except that there are more words. I like this one and honestly I was hoping for more graphics. However overall, it is pretty good.

This was a very fun and fast read. If you’re unfamiliar with the LitRPG genre, this is so far very light on those aspects (such as character stats) and may be a good introduction into that genre. If you’re a manga fan you’ll absolutely love this. I really enjoy Henry, the Eldritch creature that Damien has accidentally bound himself to. The whole situation is rather humorous, yet Damien also is very serious about becoming a mage and proving himself. The juxtaposition really works for this story.
