The First Day grabs the reader’s attention with it’s beautiful prose, captivating plot, and keeps their attention with engaging characters and creative science. The way the story is formatted allows the reader to easily follow multiple perspectives on the life altering events taking place. This book is for those who are curious, those who love science, and those who are simply looking for a new type of story to shake up their reading routine. I fell in love upon reading the first chapter and couldn’t put it down.

Short but very good and packed full of set up for the next book to take advantage of. I loved the characters' different reactions to their situations, and the wider range of ages adds to that. The science aspects are explained well and feel like they could exist in the real world. I'd definitely recommend this book to sci-fi readers and those looking for a different reading experience from their usual.
