I thought this was a darling read as a whole. I think if the narration was told via first person (from Lindy’s point of view) I would’ve connected to the story a little better, but it was a very sweet read.

This is probably more of a 3-3 1/2 star book, but I gave it four stars for a couple of reasons. The first is that part of the plot was in the California Los Angeles Mission, which is dear to me. The second is that it's a teen love story with values. It's thick on cheese, but sweet. It's very much a "Mormon" book and I don't think it would appeal to people not of that faith. I received it a few years ago and just found it in a box. It's a quick and easy read.

I read this book as a kid and have reread it a couple times. It is a great book. It was the first book I ever read in a day. I still own the book. It is a great read.
