Wayward Child

Rate this book
While reading, "Wayward Child" you'll find my thoughts and feelings poured out in poems. From when I was a kid to now, each poem is like a story about stuff I've gone through and how I've grown from it.

In these poems, I talk about things like love, tough times, and learning to stand up for myself. It's like taking a journey with me through the ups and downs of life.

Each poem is personal and honest, showing my struggles and victories. "Wayward Child" is more than just words on a page—it's a glimpse into my life and how I've learned to be strong no matter what comes my way.

Let things be!

This book of poems brought out many emotions! I could relate to so many of the poems, but my top 5 were:
1. No time for it
2. Are you?
3.After the first time
4. I don't need
5. Let things be

These poems spoke to me! I have felt all of the feelings and could relate to them. There was a "I am not alone" moment. Kaitlan, thank you for sharing your authentic self through these poems.

This book of poems reached into places I didn’t even know were still tender. It was soft, but it hit hard. Every word felt intentional—like Kaitlan wasn’t just writing poems, she was holding up a mirror, whispering, “You’ve felt this too, haven’t you?”

There were moments I had to pause. Breathe. Re-read a line because it felt too familiar. The emotions in these pages? Real. Raw. And deeply relatable. I saw myself in these poems—in the heartbreak, the healing, the confusion, the hope. And in those quiet, powerful moments, I felt that sense of “Wow, I’m not alone.” That right there is sacred.

Kaitlan, thank you for being so open, for offering your truth with such grace. You didn’t just share your words—you shared yourself. Your voice holds the weight of culture, of womanhood, of survival, and you gave it to us so beautifully.

This collection is more than poetry—it’s a safe space. A soft place to land. And I’m grateful for it.
