Beastfolk reign over the world. Despite being oppressed and looked down upon for her human “weakness,” office worker Saki earnestly tries her best. And while Atlas, the boss of the company, is one of the beastfolk, he acknowledges and trusts her. “I want you to become used to me quickly and fall in love with me.” Atlas’s feelings, crossing the boundary between humans and beastfolk, only grow stronger...
First, I loved the part where Saki and Atlas had their first dinner night together. They got to know each other more deeply. I didn’t know that Saki disliked asparagus and Atlas disliked oranges.
Second, two plot twists showed up in this volume. These plot twists shocked me.
Third, I’m really enjoying the story and I can’t wait for the next volume!
3 stars. This was mostly boring with slow and uneven pacing not helping the uninteresting storyline of more work drama and intrique slowly being dripped out in the smallest of rations because of reasons. So much information just dropped with each ration. Like, it must not be for me, because I kept thinking, "this chapter could've been a page". I did like the dress the female character wore, but the reveal of how Atlas (the boss) felt seemed cartoonish compared to the tone of this volume. I liked the previous two volumes because of the interactions and exaggerations, but this was not the same tone or focus. It switched from the characters with story to story and if you squint hard enough or wait for the extras, the characters. Also, while I glommed the first two, I finally finished this last night after starting it right after it came out. Just so boring and a let down. I don't know if I'll continue this series and feel badly for anyone who tried the first two based on earlier recommendations. This was not for me.
I went back to re-read the first two volumes before savoring this new one, and it was totally worth it. The artwork is sublime. I can tell who’s talking 99.99% of the time. Atlas is just too cute! (When he’s not being intimidating as hell.) I love Saki’s attitude. She’s so indomitable. The supporting characters are great, too, as they give more perspectives on what’s happening in the world. Speaking of which, this volume explores the idea that the discrimination goes both ways. (Hmmmm. Nice touch.) The volumes keep ending on cliffhangers, which is a teensy bit annoying, but it’s also obvious that Atlas will swoop in to be the hero, so I’m not really worried. ;p This Volume posted into my account…less than 4 hours ago and I already want to know when I can expect the sequel. Gimme! ;-)
Hostile takeover. Music to the ears of avaricious opportunists and corporate sycophants, dread upon the wings of those whose sweat equity carves a place for their identity. Mr. Atlas isn't afraid of a challenge to his authority, but what happens when an opponent hungers for more than revenge?
ME AND MY BEAST BOSS v3 is more tightly written than the previous volumes, focusing most of its energy on the frantic but earnest teamwork that requires Mr. Atlas to prevent his role and his company from being usurped by a highly ambitious human. Who is Naohisa Magatsu? Good question. The upstart CEO of a rival company, Magatsu has staunchly bitter feelings over the professional supremacy of beastfolk. For Magatsu, it's not enough to beat back the competition, he wants to sunder it completely. Either that, or embarrass its leadership into obscurity (and maybe stay on decent terms with a certain female secretary).
The teamwork and coordination required of Mr. Atlas, Ms. Oki, Saeki, and Mr. Grey is a fun bit of corporate spycraft one may not expect upon cracking open an otherwise warmhearted manga. A good deal of this comic traffics in vagueness for its own sake (e.g., readers never really learl what Atlas' company actually does), but the current volume peppers meaningful details into the mix. Magatsu has a plan. But the best way to beat someone else's plan is to forge a plan of one's own. Ms. Oki feels the pressure from both sides: (a) ally with the humans and betray her new boss, or (b) side with her new boss and stay the course during the coming storm. Attending a spiffy buffet in a fancy dress to represent the company is one thing, but luring Magatsu into conversation to confess his sins is something else entirely. Will Ms. Oki hold up under the stress?
ME AND MY BEAST BOSS v3 continues to lean heavily on the characters slowly learning to lean on one another. Mr. Grey, for example, is warming to the possibility that his boss could use a subordinate who supplements his doubts. The chauffer amusingly recruits Saeki in his battle to pair up Ms. Oki and Mr. Atlas, but is confounded by the fact that Saeki is comically dense when it comes to human relations. Similarly, while the ever intimidating Mr. Atlas cows every head in the office, Ms. Oki, keen to do her job as best as possible (even when she screws up), learns to keep her head raised, even amid troubling times.
A new threat to Atlas appears in the form of Magatsu, a human CEO who happens to be Saki’s former boyfriend. While the incident is tidily wrapped up in record time, it does give the newly formed team of Atlas, Grey, Saki, and Saeki a chance to demonstrate what humans and beastfolk can do when they collaborate. Also, Atlas and Saki get a chance to dress up!
The Review
By intervening on Saki’s behalf, Atlas earns Saeki’s trust. Atlas responds to Saeki’s openness by introducing him to Grey, who, upon discovering that Saeki possesses insight into Saki that Grey does not, seizes the opportunity to (forcibly) recruit Saeki into his personal mission to kindle romance between Atlas and Saki.
It is a bit odd having three men so focused on romance when it hasn’t even entered our female protagonist’s head. Having characters on different wavelengths is a classic comedy device, but I found it odd that “date” doesn’t even cross Saki’s mind when Atlas gallantly takes her by the hand and asks her out to dinner. At any rate, Saki and Atlas are getting closer, but Atlas is the only one catching feelings.
The second half of the book focuses on a new ploy by the former managing director. This time, he’s joining forces with a human-run company, whose CEO Magatsu just happens to be Saki’s ex-boyfriend. Grey and Atlas already have an inkling of what trouble their adversaries are plotting from the very start, so Atlas’s position is never in any real danger. Instead, this arc presents Magatsu as another human devastated by speciesism and gives Atlas the opportunity to demonstrate by his actions that he is different from other beastfolk. This arc also includes a formal dinner, so Atlas and Saki get a chance to dress up. It is a little strange that Grey’s the one to help Saki with her makeup, but the cast is lean on female characters, so Shiroinu-sensei’s just working with the characters on hand, I guess?
Extras include the first page printed in color, illustrations printed on the inside covers, and two bonus manga.
Rather than focus on the specific events in this interesting volume I'd like to mention a few of my insights that I had while reading. The first insight I had was how interesting and downright hypocritical the behavior is of the prejudice beastmen. It's interesting that they find themselves superior to humans but they consider the rare type that is more beast than human to be monstrous and frightening. So in actuality, the closer to human the beast is the more acceptable they are as long as they are not human. I found this distinction to be quite interesting on many levels. It makes for a very good allegory in regards to human IRL comparisons. Another thing that I thought about was that this series definitely lines up well for fans of the series Beastars and Beast Complex. It has a lot of similar beats in the story. You have the pseudo forbidden love as well as the societal issues and prejudices. Definitely think this series belongs next to them.
As for this specific volume, I think I liked it the best out of the three that have come out so far. I'm very excited to see the developments of the characters and I enjoyed the office politics and corporate politics that they've made into the primary conflicts. There's just so many levels of interest to the setting and story that you can really get lost in it. Put on top of that a stellar cast and you've got a formula for success.
Beastfolk are the top of the food chain and humans are at the bottom.
Lion boss likes human secretary and wants her to be comfortable around him (his presence is intense) to maybe eventually pursue a romantic relationship. Human secretary learns to be more comfortable around him with each chapter and respects how kind he is compared to her previous supervisor.
Stuff happens and a plot emerges to make lion boss resign. The “mastermind” is a human CEO that used to date the human secretary (she doesn’t want lion boss to know “for some reason” *eyeroll*). Human CEO hates beastfolk because his parents died in a train derailment and the beast paramedics saved a beast woman that was sitting in the seat behind the parents. At the very end of this volume, that lady shows up to talk to the Human CEO with her son in tow (makes me think that the human parents wanted the paramedics to save the beast because she either had her kid with her or she was pregnant at the time of the disaster).
Anyway, Human CEO is yelling at the beast mama and her kid runs into a cars path and the human CEO jumps the kid Yu Yu Hakusho style to save him. Then, the volume FREAKING ENDS like what the flip! (╯°益°)╯彡┻━┻

Volume 3 picks up where the previous one left. Atlas has to save Ms. Oki from an attack by a beastfolk person and he’s about to lose his temper, but Ms. Oki gathers her courage and manages to subdue him. But it shows her, and her new assistant Saeki, that they can rely on Atlas when beastfolk at work attack humans.
The story was mostly about business world and an attempt to make Atlas resign. Romance didn’t really happen, despite Mr. Grey’s best efforts to bring Atlas and Ms. Oki together, so a bit of a disappointment in that respect. The solution to the business conflict was good, but it was followed by another cliffhanger ending.
There was some sort of change to how Atlas was drawn. His face was almost never clearly depicted, making him seem more beastly than before. I hope that changes in future.
Despite the story becoming more than the romance, it was also a bit less interesting. I’m not entirely sure I want to continue, or at least I’ll wait until more volumes are out to continue.
A lot happened in this volume with the aftermath of what happened at the end of volume 2 with thebig confrontation, and then adding a rival company CEO who happens to have connections with Saki. The pacing was a bit hectic but overall this was still a good read. I really like the way that Saki handled both stressful situations, and seeing how the other characters reacted to Saki’s demeanor. Especially the minor characters that are on lower levels of the same company that Saki works with; her dynamic with Saeki warms my heart for the cute platonic/respectful part and then her dynamic with Mr.Atlas continues to be a great slow-burn romance. Reading about everything involving the rival company’s CEO was vastly interesting, from his backstory to his plot as it gets revealed in the volume. My only complaint is that I wish his connection with Saki was shown in flashbacks a bit due to how often it was mentioned.

Have you ever wished your boss was a seven-foot-tall walking ball of floof with massive toe beans that would protect you from all harm? No? Well… this manga delivers that, a wholesome office romance, and a refreshing take on the “corporate MC” while casually addressing racism.
This is essentially a platonic Beauty and the Beast in an office setting. If an office romance with a twist is something you might enjoy, please don’t hesitate to pick it up! As for my personal, non-objective opinion, I love this manga with every inch of my heart!
Who is Me and My Beast Boss for? This manga is perfect for fans of the Beauty and the Beast trope but done in a modern office romance. It’s platonic and it has everything to make your heart skip a beat!
EEEEEEEE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I absolutely am loving this manga!!! OMG Atlas - I just want hug the stuffing out of him, he's too adorable for words and so supportive and understanding and I am gushing over him. His little smiles all through out this volume.... Like all the feels right now every time I think about it.
Saki is a lowkey powerhouse, the way she takes no attitude when it comes to her job and trying her best to stay at Atlas's side is sublime. Like I am cheering her on to kick ass every chance she gets because this volume ha a slight shift in the story as we see a bit more of the support cast but also a turn in the story as there's a new player wanting to upsurp Atlas and he's got history with Saki.
I can't wait for the next volume, whenever that is, since I can't find anything on it.
Stars: 5 Stars Format: Print Series: Me and My Beast Boss Book 3 Steam Level: Not Steamy
I want more.
Quick Thoughts: - What a smart way to defuse the situation - I didn’t know that I needed a scene with just Grey and Saeki interacting but apparently I did - Did not expect that storyline turn. I like it. - This new (kinda?) storyline shows how much Oki trusts Atlas and how much he trusts her - Also loved the dinner between them and seeing how they are growing closer - If Atlas and Oki don’t end up together I’m burning everything to the ground - Whoa does Oki clean up good - I LOVE Atlas. He is the best kind of being, loyal, smart, trustworthy, smart enough to see beyond the surface of situations, forgiving, protective, and too many more adjectives I won’t list - Ahhhh! Another cliffhanger!
Overall this series just keeps getting better and better. I am on pins and needles waiting for volume four. It’s not even finished and it’s already in my top ten favorite series.
I’d like to say victory. Because I picked it up today and I read it today and I have no regrets. I need Yin press to stop playing into finish printing these volumes because I need to know that they end up together. I’m so happy about this couple. They are so cute, the stories are so so funny and the art is so interesting! Now this becomes 30 volumes I don’t know if I can make it through but if it’s like eight I can handle it and I would love to put them on my shelf, but it’s driving me crazy. Having to wait
This was such a cute installment! The cliff hanger at the end is almost criminal.
We’re slowing getting into more of the work politics and I’m loving the crossovers of characters interacting and becoming closer. Atlas is such a good boss that both Saki and Oki feel protected in their every move.
I do hope the next installment has some romance. Is Atlas just fluffy to her or does she see him as a man?!
A nice chapter that not only builds upon the Director's betrayal storyline as we learn more about who he was working with but we also get a bit more world building like that there are areas where humans are in better positions and even run companies of their own. We meet a new villain Mr. Magastu who has a history with Saki as he was her ex. It is some fairly nice stuff with a few cute moments thrown in between Saki and Mr. Atals as they go on a date.
Can’t wait for next volume. The volume releases are so far apart that things get fuzzy memory wise but the plot of the books is easy to reconnect with and enjoy that it all balances out.
I love this series so much. Atlas is just so SOFT and I can’t stand it. Saki is also a badass. There’s a lot of random backstory here and coincidences. But I’m into it! Really just great story.
