When the world’s greatest ghost hunter sets out for revenge, there’s going to be hell to pay…
Retired Marine, Shane Ryan, knows all about war. He’s fought in the toughest hellholes on the planet, and he has the scars, both physical and mental, to prove it. As the world’s foremost ghost hunter, Shane has defeated supernatural evil beyond imagination. But this time, the fight is personal.
After battling his way through the wilderness and defeating an army of bloodthirsty wraiths, Shane is finally at the enemy’s door. Constantine Agios, an insane occultist, has innocent blood on his hands. And Shane is going to make him pay for every last drop.
Pitting his mastery of the dead against Constantine’s arcane powers, Shane launches a brutal one-man crusade against this supernatural killer. When the dust settles, only one will be left standing. But in this paranormal war, the stakes are higher than Shane could possibly imagine.
Ron Ripley is a husband and father surviving in New England, a place which seems to be getting colder every day. He grew up across from a disturbingly large cemetery where he managed to scare himself every night before going to bed. Mostly because of the red lights that people put in front of the headstones. Those things are just plain creepy to a kid.
Ron enjoys writing horror, military history and driving through the small towns of New England with his family, collecting books and giving impromptu lectures on military history to his family, who enjoy ignoring him during those dreadful times.
A great conclusion to the Soul Collector series. That said, I thought Shane's revenge on Constantine was underwhelming considering all the sh*t he's been through with him. Conversely, Arthur's message to Shane from the Ether, and Shane's emotional dam finally breaking, made up for the revenge aspect.
I've said it a million times before and will say it again: these Shane Ryan books are just fun as hell. No lollygagging around with ridiculous fluff and edge of your seat nonsense - just a badass dude who doesn't eff around.
Wait...now that I think of it, I don't think Shane said "that a fact?" this entire book! The hell! That's unacceptable.
A great ending to a great story. I would have loved to meet Shane and Carl and Frank and Arthur and the rest of the ghosts. I really enjoyed this series. Ron and Nick have a knack about themselves telling ghost stories. I enjoyed all of them. I recommend reading this to all that love fiction and adventures.
The basic theme of the series is grief, and how people handle it. Mix in a lot of murder, ghosts, murderous ghosts, ghosts being murdered...well, destroyed, and there is a whole lot of action packed in this series. This is an extremely satisfying conclusion...until the next series.
I've been reading every single book with Shane and his adventures with the dead. Poor guy, I sure hope one day he finds peace. Please bring back Jacinta ,she's the only one who can make him happy. And he definitely deserves it..
I love these books! Shane Ryan's character show empathy to the living and the dead even though he continues to struggle with his own issues! Can't wait to read more!
Well-woven and richly imagined, with a compelling reader's hook, SOUL REDEMPTION is an engrossing and frightening novel of implacable Horror. I constantly was on tenterhooks, questioning whether we would finally witness the demise of intrepid ghost-seer and former Marine, Shane Ryan of Nashua, New Hampshire. Just being able to view, hunt, and destroy ghosts is enough danger; in addition, Shane is suffused with grief over his lost loved one, sleepless, and quite possibly not able to make efficient decisions. Top that with a wealthy evil genius determined to end Shane Ryan forever, a villain already dying, who will get Shane either before he himself succumbs....or after. The odds are distinctly stacked against our troublesome but indefatigable anti-hero Protagonist.
