Miguel Castillo Jr. has been groomed to be the head of the Castillo Cartel since he was a baby. Trained to protect his family at all costs from any and every threat, he does what needs to be done in order to ensure the safety of his brothers and their empire. Accidentally bumping into Dallas turns out to be the best thing to ever happen to him. However, what he doesn’t know is that loving her comes with baggage and enemies he never knew he’d have.
Dallas has just found the mother that she’s longed for all of her life, but never knew was still alive and well. Enjoying her life as a college student and with the mother she thought she lost, a chance encounter with Miguel causes her entire world to go from calm and quiet to chaotic and out of control. Not knowing how to balance her life as his prisoner and avoid his charm in the process, she fights him at every turn until she realizes he just might be the only one who can save her from the danger she didn’t know was lurking.
Can Miguel get Dallas to see that he’s the one who can not only protect her from danger but protect her heart too? Or, will Dallas continue to push him away and plan her escape further putting herself in danger?

This gave me Godfather vibes! This is my first read by the author ✍🏾 and it was really action pack especially mid way through to the end! A very unique love story with a happy twist!
Surprisingly good read with a lot of unexpected twists & turns!! Miguel was INSANE 😂 how do you literally kidnap someone after just meeting them LOL! He was determined to make Dallas his & he did just that!
I was side eyeing him at first about what he did to his father but after the story unfolded he had every right! I love how bd protected Dallas & his brothers no matter what!
Dallas father was AWFUL! Like who does that to their own daughter then expects her to go along with it!
All 3 brothers were UNHINGED to say the least 😭 but they didn’t play about their family or their women!
First time reading this author and took a chance after reading the blurb. I should've stopped there though. I disliked Miguel from jump. His attitude and the way he interacted with Dallas was a red flag. I stopped reading at 30% because I could no longer take him bullying/manipulating her into being with him. Dallas was one dumb girl SMH. Should've ran for the hills at the funeral
Dallas should've ran for the hills and I am so glad she didn't. That Miguel was crazy about her and I do mean crazy!
This was a very interesting story that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end, when you think you got everything figured out you don't. That's what I liked most of all, the twists and turn this book took me through!
I know this book was about Miguel and Dallas but, Iris was my girlllll! She did not eff around and she did not play! Loved her down.
My first read from Khemistri J and I will definitely read something else from her catalog soon.
This was a new to me author that I took a chance on reading. You have to be careful who you bump into because you never know if they’ll take you and then keep your heart. I know Dallas wished many times that she really did walk into a wall instead of Miguel. They went through a lot and it was interesting how she developed Stockholm syndrome after a while. Miguel in his twisted and controlling way actually fell for her quickly without her reciprocating his feelings.
Dallas as character was a little flat and there was definitely room for improvement in the storyline. There were some questions that I had about security at Miguel’s, how the side chicks were always popping up on them, Shamar her father, Badrick, and the cause of the quick deaths and more. All in all I think that this a good start for the author and she can only improve from here.
Miguel is a boss in his own right, he is arrogant and had a big ego. So much he wanted Dallas and he got Dallas. He kidnapped her and she wanted to go back home and finish her degree. She thought her father was dead and gone. Miguel lied he ended up chasing Dallas. Manuel almost lost his marriage because of Jasmine lies, so Iris took her out. He's been acting right ever since. Miguel had to big brother Mateo because he didn't think it was right he knocked off their father and he wanted to get in on the action. He also had to take down Maria because of her jealousy and the threats. Sierra stuck with him for the two months. Miguel wasn't playing about wipping their whole blood in out. He promised Dallas and Michelle that he was going to protect her and wasn't going to let anything happen to her. So now they are married and have triples.
I love me some Miguel. Even though all three brothers are a special type of crazy. I enjoyed all three. Dallas, was it for Miguel. He played no games about her. I'm glad she finally stopped running and gave into her feelings. Even though the running scenes are hilarious. Iris and Manuel were something else. I'm glad they Manuel got his stuff together before he lost a good woman. Mateo was funny and crazy. Him and his snacks 🤣. He was definitely wrong for his actions and words towards his brother. He should have known that anything Miguel does, he had evidence, and he has thought long and hard about it. Dallas sperm donor is evil and disgusting. Karma found all snakes. Khemistri J ,I truly enjoyed this book, and I can't wait to see what is next for you.
How you bump into somebody and just automatically know they the one for you
This is my first book from this author. Miguel is was truly on some love at first sight. After bumping into Dallas he just knew she was the one…Miguel and Dallas both had things in common when it came to having a Father that was powerful but also didn’t care about his children. Miguel Dad was crazy. This fool put a hit out on his own kids. Only because he thought two of his sons wasn’t his which ended up being his. That man was sick and crazy. Dallas Dad sold her. So glad Miguel was about to protect Dallas . I thought her father would send somebody to Kip so her. Can’t wait to read more books from this author.
MY MAN, MY MAN, MY MAN!!!!!!! Miguel was a LUNATIC and I loved him. He was BDE and a BOSS!!!! That man bumped into Dallas and told her, she was going to be his girl and he stood 10 toes down on it. I mean he even kidnapped her, he killed men over her, it was the best kind of unhinged madness. He in the top 5 cause he was not playing when it came to Dallas, his family, or Melissa. I throughly enjoyed reading this book. Menace, kidnapping, virgin, murder, imma show up every time, deranged daddy, vindictive daddy, happily ever after. Baby this book got it all. Just read it and you won’t be disappointed.

Hmmm, romanticize misogyny 🤨⁉️Really ‼️That’s unacceptable …I’m conflicted with some elements of ”The Connect Kidnapped My Heart” (3.75 ⭐️’s) wasn’t appealing for me. I read this book primarily because I wanted to familiarize myself with the recurring characters of Miguel Castillo & his brothers and their correlation to the McCoy mafia brothers from Author Latrisha’s three book series. While, I commend Miguel Jr. for defending his family against the hostile threats, kidnapping under the pretense of conciliatory companionship wasn’t humorous but rather absurd‼️Consequently, “The Connect Kidnapped My Heart” was not my favorite read🤷🏾♀️‼️

At first Dallas get on my last nerves always trying to runaway from Miguel especially after agreeing to giving them being together a shot but she eventually came around. Shamar and Badrick were a real piece of work and disgusting towards the women in their family and I’m glad that Miguel and Melissa dealt with them accordingly. Iris and Manuel went through some downs due to his infidelity and I’m glad that he manned up to keep his family together. I like Sierra for Mateo and how she stayed down for him through his recovery.
Hot fire flames The men we're off the chain Miguel didn't play no games about Dee at all any enemies tried to hurt her or her father had to go.
I'm glad Manuel got himself together fast But also learned quickly his wife was not playing no games with him now they have an understanding and now build on there love foundation..
Mateo and Sierra are newly couple but they fit each other I would have liked to see more of there journey but other than that it was cool..
I loved the book. The twist, turns, and unexpected pops up were awesome. Miguel and Dallas story was interesting, to say the least. He knew she was the one at first sight, but she fought him tooth and nail. Manuel was so lucky Iris didn't kill him with the shit he had going on. I'm glad the marriage worked out. Mateo found his one and only in Sierra. I'm so happy he found love. Awesome read.
This was a good read. I like Miguel for Dallas. Dallas was funny. I like how she kept running from Miguel, but he definitely applied pressure. Iris stood on business when it came to Manuel. He was a typical man. Mateo was a real baby boy, but he was a little funny as well. Good read.
This book was such a great read. If this is the authors debut book, she is due a big bravo👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Well written, Great work. I loved Miguel and Dallas relationship. He loved her and didn't mind showing it. I loved all of the couples. Can't wait to see what else this author comes out with next.
Honeyyyy listen if he ain’t bringing the smoke behind me like Miguel was doing for Dallas leave him where he at cause baby let me tell you that man won’t playing bout his lady from day one. Miguel the definition of standing on business!! Yall make sure yall check out this great read! What a way to break into the author part of this literary world 👏🏽
This book was really good. I liked the characters, the writing flowed seamlessly. I liked that there was a lot of drama but not too much. I liked that the ending and epilogue wrapped up the whole story and it didn’t drag out for multiple books. I immediately looked for some more books from this author but couldn’t find any.
Miguel was definitely Bae!! Talk about BDE, him and his brothers definitely had it. Now Dallas was getting on my nerves. Being a Virginia and green to the streets I could understand some resistance but she was ridiculous with it. At the end, all was well. Great read. 👍🏾
Dallas Jackson literally bumped into cartel leader Miguel Castillo at a funeral and it was love at first site... at least for Miguel. Dallas, recognizing the new head of the Castillo Cartel, wanted no parts of Miguel. Miguel, thinking that Dallas needed a bit of persuasion, kidnapped her and took her home to Mexico.
I will say this is one of the better books I have read by thus author in a while. The pace was good and moved with a complete ending. It was a bit much in parts and some repetitive actions got to me but given the age of the characters and the way that their work/worlds are it was expected.
This was a good story. Dallas got on my nerves really bad. I loved Miguel with his crazy self. Dallas started to grow on me at the end. Iris was a real gangster and love Manuel but he was dirty at the beginning. I’m glad Manuel got his stuff together. Mateo was a mess also. Sierra was a good look for him.
I enjoyed reading Dallas and Miguel's story. I like how Miguel know from the moment they met that she was the one. Naturally it took Dallas some time to return those feelings. And when she did, so many outside circumstances tried to separate them. I definitely plan to read more from this author.
This was a very typical mafia romance, but it was like urban romance version Dallas bumped into Miguel, and from then he decided that he was gonna be his girl, Miguel kidnapped. Dallas kept her in his house, and then they were together like he was not playing with that girl. There were also two other couples featuring Miguel’s brother, and one of them he kept cheating on his girl he gave her chlamydia and then he felt bad so he stopped cheating and the other one it was Miguel‘s brother and Dallas’s cousin and they got together overall this is a very mid book not anything to read about but enjoyable.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever read a book with the MMC as unhinged as Miguel but I LOVED it! It also is very different from what I usually read. There was so much going on in this book but I think everything was tied together very nicely. I enjoyed the ending, especially because I was wondering if it was going to all come together but it did! Check out the trigger warnings before reading though.
