The Ramseys in Time: The Complete Box Set includes Timeless Honor (book 1) and Timeless Beginnings (book 2 – the prequel).
In Timeless Honor, modern woman Jaye Ramsey ignores her beloved yet eccentric grandmother’s warning about time travel and vacations in Bolivia with her friends. While touring the vast salt flats, the Salar de Uyuni, she stumbles upon a swirling vortex and wakes up in the 18th century. There she meets the moody, reclusive Lucas Kenway, third Baron Hawksatter. He’s also her grandmother’s first husband of less than twenty-four hours, whose marriage was never consummated.
In Timeless Beginnings, Leonora Harris flees her newly wedded husband’s home for the shelter of the forest and finds a mystical portal, which transports her from the 1700s to the 1960s. Lost in the cold, pristine salt flats of Bolivia, she meets the secretive Rodger Ramsey, an engineer with a hidden agenda.

While I don't usually read the romance genre, Amber Daulton's duology, Ramsey's in Time, was a wonderful read. What sucked me in was the time-travel plot and the attention to detail with regard to setting, and the social and historical accuracy.
In Timeless Honor, Jaye Ramsey is a tough, strong woman who gets transported from the present to 1700s. The time travel plot was very well done, not done in a hokey way, and her romance with Lucas Kenway was actually very sweet, funny, and charming, even if this is a spicy romance. I really enjoyed these characters.
In Timeless Beginnings, a sort of prequel to Honor, Leonora Harris gets swept up from the 1700s to the 1960s. Leonora too finds romance with Roger Ramsey, which also turns out to be very spicy and sexy. This too was an engaging and interesting story because you get to learn about the overall history of Bolivia, and its culture. I feel like I got to learn something about another place and time, which is always a plus for me.
If you enjoy fun romance stories with light humor, intrigue, action, and fascinating historical significance, I would recommend you check these stories out.
This book focuses on Jaye Ramsey, a 28-year-old, single librarian from Seattle who has gone to Bolivia with her four friends to Salar de Uyuni before the wedding of Emma Miller. Jaye's grandmother, Leonora begged her not to go after telling her all her life about how she had traveled forward in time from 1725 to 1960 in Bolivia. Now, in 2015 Jaye is thrown back to the eighteenth century, Hawksatter, England, in the year 1735, She is found by Lord Lucas Kenway, a gruff and bitter man who avoids town and townspeople.
How can Jaye survive in the eighteenth century and what about her four friends? She has been searching for Emma and Maggie. She is approached by Amaru who gives her a silver mirror that she can communicate with her friends and tells her she has a certain amount of time to decide if she wishes to stay or return to her old life. She has strong feelings for Lucas, but does he feel the same for her? This is an enchanting time-travel story with delightful characters, witty dialog, and a plot that kept the pages turning.
Timeless Beginnings
YOU TIME-TRAVELED AND MADE THE AYMARA LEGEND A REALITY
The story started in 1725, Hawksatter, England, with newlywed Leonora Harris fleeing her home into the woods and taking shelter in a cave during a thunderstorm. Seeing a blue light she follows it and falls into a hole and finds herself in Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia in the year 1963.
Undercover American operative Rodger Ramsey goes to Salar de Uyuni before returning home to the states after two years posing as an Engineer for Gulf oil while working for the CIA. What a shock to see a beautiful young woman in period clothing in the middle of nowhere. Rodger will take Leonora back with him to his home in Bolivia but how can he believe her story of being from England. All the questioning, never can he catch her in a lie, but time travel of 238 years doesn’t seem real either. Is she a spy and caught on to who he is and who he works for?
The story is a sweet and mysterious love tale of two people, meeting in an unlikely place, and from different centuries. Leonora has had two expensive season in London, but she wants a love match like her grandparents. “For a happy marriage, my sweet Leonora, you must seek honesty and respect on both sides.” The concept of time travel places both Rodger and Leonora questioning each other and what century they are claiming. “How can time travel exist and scientists not know about it? A discovery of that magnitude would reap a fortune.” Did it take traveling over two hundred years in the future for Leonora and Rodger to find true love? “Fate granted her a second chance in this new place and time, but she wanted to console her family and let them know what happened to her.”
NOTE: I read these books when they first released.
Timeless Honour, Book 1. What an interesting time travel romance! I really liked the whole backstory of Lucas and the unique way Jaye arrived in his time. Blended cultures, different roles and societal expectations made for some interesting situations. With past and present elements in the mix, it was nice to see many details addressed in the end.
Timeless Beginnings, book 2…. The Prequel I found it interesting that within the box set this story was told second. I have always been a fan of time travel romance. This whole situation bringing Leonora and Rodger together was quite unique. The chosen location as well as the “political situation “really added to some of the underlying suspense. I enjoyed watching the two of them get to know each other and come to terms with the reality of where/when Leonora had come from. In the end, it was nice to see love overcome adversity.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
