"Bad choices make epic stories. Write one with me."Iverson Grey wasn’t supposed to be my happily ever after. He wasn’t even on my radar.I came to Copper Falls, expecting to settle my sister's estate and learn about the woman I never knew existed until I was notified of her death. Little did I know that stories about her weren't the only thing that awaited me in the small town. The first time I met the enigmatic Iverson Grey, my car broke down on the side of the road. The second time, he spilled his coffee on me, and by the third, I was letting him have his way with me behind a bar. It was only supposed to be one time, a quick summer hookup in a town I was passing through with a man I'd never see again. But a week after arriving at the Blackthorn Estate, a twist of fate reveals the home I thought was my sister's belonged to the one man I haven't been able to forget. Our chemistry is intense, all-consuming, and utterly wrong. He was my dead sister's ex—forbidden. However, the more time we're forced to spend together, the more I discover nothing is what it seems. The lines between right and wrong get blurry, and not all perfect endings are black and white. Sometimes, they're grey, and somewhere in the grey lies the truth, and when it comes out, there's no predicting the ending.

L.A. Ferro

L.A. Ferro has had a love for storytelling her entire life. For as long as she can remember she put herself to sleep plotting stories in her head. That thirst for a good tale led her to books where she became an avid reader.

The unapologetically dramatic characters, steamy scenes, and happily ever afters found inside the pages of romance novels irrevocably transformed her. The world of romance ran away with her heart, and she knew her passion for love would be her craft.

When she’s not trailing after one of her three crazy kids, she loves to construct messy ‘happily ever afters’ that take her readers on a journey full of angst, lust, and obsession with page-turning enchantment.

Chasing her literary dreams, she hopes to captivate her readers with the stories that have lived rent-free in her mind for years. As an avid reader, dominant alpha males and feisty heroines have always stolen her heart and she is optimistic her books will bring the same amount of heart and heat that inspired her.

Quinn & Iverson are here to take you on a suspenseful journey you didn’t know you needed…. But take my word, buckle your azz up and hold on tight because this book is full of twists, turns, crazy moments, what in the world moments and all the happiness, swooning and perfection you could ask for! I’m oBsEsSeD with this book!! What an incredible journey you’re about to embark on! Hold on tight fellow readers!

LA is the queen of all romantic suspense (literally no one can compare at all) and she outdid herself with this one! It’s written perfectly! Just when you think you have it figured out she spins you in a 180 and sends you somewhere else. It’s truly amazing how she is able to do this throughout - and I could never figure it out!!! Literally had my jaw laying on the floor…… which makes her one heck of an author! I mean, that takes some talent and that’s what LA
is, such a talented story teller!

The storyline is truly phenomenal! The characters (and side characters) are so compelling and the whole thing is such a riveting read… I cannot recommend it enough!!

I absolutely cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!

This was my first time delving into the world of romantic suspense, and I was thoroughly captivated by the unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Quinn and Iverson's chemistry was delightful, and their emotional journey had me by the heartstrings. Goodness, the way Iverson spoke to Quinn with such determination had me captivated. So intense! The spiciness level was just right, which I loved. There's also some forced proximity, which is my favorite trope. If you enjoy stories set in a small town featuring mistaken identity and where he falls in love first, you will adore this book. I am eagerly looking forward to reading more books by this author. I never expected to enjoy a romantic suspense novel this much. I am craving for more.

Love Always, Catherine

Thank you, Hambright PR and L.A. Ferro, for gifting me this book.

LA Ferro never disappoints! In my opinion this book was unlike any of her other books because it had a different type of emotional trauma but in the best way. Iverson and Quinn’s story was so beautifully written and the book had me hooked from chapter one and the character development was top notch for me. This book has so many beautiful quotes and moments that pull on the heart strings. I NEED a series out of these side characters!

I knew when I read the blurb for this book that I was going to absolutely love it!
Iverson and Quinn take you on a roller-coaster of a ride and I couldn't get enough of it!
Quinn goes to Copper Falls to find out about a sister she knew she had and that is where she meets the reclusive Iverson Grey. I fell in love with these characters and felt like Quinn was a real person. She was very relatable. It took me a week after I finished this book to pick up another one!!!

The first part of the book was a hit for me. The set up of the romance and small town was interesting and I was intrigued from the start. The mystery pulled me in and kept me reading. There were some really great quotes, and the spicy scenes were really good! Though their romance is very instalust to instalove, Iverson and Quinn were really great together once they got out of their own way(particularly Quinn).

"I want your stories, Quinn. Some people believe their destiny is written in the stars. I believe it's written on our hearts, and I'm pretty sure the one inside you holds mine."

The middle part of the book and second half was a lot of miscommunication. Not my favourite trope. It ended up making the book feel too long even though it isn’t that long in reality.

Too much going on toward the end. Ultimately too convoluted and unbelievable when the twists were revealed. Without saying too much detail, the characters reactions to the twists often felt underwhelming. I have some personal experience that is similar to Quinn and I didn’t find her handling and reaction to a certain situation at all realistic or relatable. The very last conflict of the story felt really unnecessary and frustrating due to even more miscommunication. I would have preferred more time spent on developing their romance.

It held my attention, but I wanted more from both the mystery reveal and the romance. I know some people who have loved it though, so I think it probably comes down to how much miscommunication and instalust irk you.

Thank you to Hambright PR for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

❝ 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲.❞

This book was absolutely perfect.
Suspenseful and full of twists and " ohhh!!! I did not see that coming" moments .
Mixed with one great love story where the reclusive author, commitment-phobe , anti-relationship hero meets his downfall in a from of his " game changer" heroine. 💗.

❝ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝘀. 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲(...).❞

The way I want to say more , but this is the kind of book where nothing is as it seems and so many "factors/tropes" when mentioned will pose as spoilers . Just go in blind. You'll enjoy every turn , curve and bump 💗 .

❝ 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.❞

Buckle up because this book is one heck of a ride.
😮‍💨

Quinn & Iverson's story was one full of emotion and swooniness, while also delivering insane twists and turns. As someone who goes into most things blind, I was not prepared, but in all the best ways! 🤌🏻

I love trying to figure things out in a romantic suspense. Honestly, I had absolutely no idea where this book was going. The twists and turns were endless until the end!

“Are you ready to see what our future looks like?”

“As long as I’m writing it with you.”

I love them. 🥹 And all of me is hoping that this isn't the last time we get to visit Copper Falls. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Rewriting Grey is my introduction to L. A. Ferro. I now need to go back and read her backlist because if they’re anything like this book, I know I’ve been missing out. This is my 87th book for the year, and it just shot up to my favorite book of the year so far.

The writing is so eloquent and the words just flow from page to page. There are twists and turns you don’t see coming, and then there are twists and turns you thought you saw coming only to discover you were wrong. I could not put this book down.

The character development is so strong. You feel their every emotion, and there is a lot of it. There is nothing two-dimensional about these characters. The story building is also excellent. This book played like a movie in my mind - every scene more vivid than the last. LA has a true gift with the written word. I really hope she takes us back to Copper Falls. I could use Elouise and Callum’s story.

When Quinn Collins came to Copper Falls in order to settle a family members estate, she never expected to meet and fall for a man named Iverson Grey. He is a stranger she is drawn too and they keep meeting in the most strangest of circumstances. Who is he really and how are their lives connected? A romantic suspense with plenty of twists that keeps you guessing. Quin and Iverson’s connection heats up the pages and has you rooting for them. I truly enjoyed this mystery and the beautiful emotional journey that finds these two main characters. The only thing I wish was that the epilogue was included at the end of the actual book. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and look forward to more. Told in first person and dual POV.

Quinn and Iverson knocked my socks off. I wasn't sure what to expect from this author as a new reader, but I found myself hooked from the first chapter as Quinn finds herself in a pickle. I loved her and found her to be a bit quirky and relatable. Her desire to connect with her sister in the opening chapters immediately won me over. I couldn't get enough Iverson nor how interested he was in Quinn. This book had a fabulous combination of twist, suspense, and romance that had me unable to put this book down. I'm thoroughly impressed and would read this author again.

When I saw the synopsis of this book, I knew I had to read it. And I was not disappointed at all. I enjoyed the mystery along the way. Some of it I figured out and other parts I didn't. Romance books can get pretty predictable but not this one. Very twisty and suspenseful. The characters are well developed. It felt like I was watching a movie. LA Ferro is a new to me author and her writing is very compelling. There is some good spice in there too.
By the end I was tuning out a bit. I don't know if it was me or the story just went a bit longer than it needed to be.

When I read the synopsis I knew I needed to read it. But there was one part of it that made me also a little bit hesitant. But let me tell you what if it is a L.A. Ferro book I know that in the end, I will never be disappointed. She crafts her stories so well that it is a book I will never want to put down and Rewriting Grey was no different. Iverson Grey is absolutely delicious. Our female main character Quinn has just graduated and is now has just learned that she has a sister she never knew about. When she finds out that she also has passed she goes up to settle her sisters estate and learn more about her sister. Here she meets Iverson. I wish I had an Iverson Grey in my life. He is like the perfect book boyfriend in my opinion without and without any red flags. And don’t get me wrong. I do like my red flag book boyfriends, but this is not one of those books and it was delightful. This is one of those books I feel is going to give me a slight book Hangover becuase I can’t stop thinking about it. I keep thinking about their story and I really want to reread it again right now. I really hope L.A. Ferro writes more books for the side characters! I would be so interested in hearing their stories as well.

Wow, this was a crazy emotional roller coaster of a read, and I loved every bit of it. I would have bet anything I had it all figured out, and then it went off the rails. I did not have it figured out at all 🤣 I love when that happens! You definitely want to go into this one blind. I loved the writing, the characters, the scenic descriptions of Copper Falls, the twists, the spice, it all kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Once again LA has written a cornucopia of tropes and twist that meld together perfectly.

This story has so many twist and turns that you honestly will not know what’s coming.

I feel like I can’t tell you much because ANYTHING could be a spoiler with a plot like this but here are a few notes about our main characters….

Quinn has just found out she has a sister and has come to Copper Falls to settle her estate but NOTHING is what it seems 😳

Iverson, our MMC, is an author. We see that a lot in romance books but it’s usually the FMC and I loved seeing it the other way around. Did I mention he writes *spice* in his books 🤭

There is also a ^Holy Shirt Balls^ moment with 2 side characters that had me swooning 🫠

Brace yourself for a roller coaster of emotions 🥹

LA Ferro can write some romantic suspense y’all and that’s just what she does in Rewriting Grey!!

Quinn meets Iverson after she gets a call to come out to Copper Falls because her twin sister is dead. They have a few sparks but overall a rough couple of meetings then they are head over heels for each other!

I love these characters and the storyline is awesome! This story is chock full of crazy twists and turns, so there’s never a dull moment! Recommend for for a well written romantic suspense with a hea.

A book you can’t put down. This book and Iversons story is absolutely amazing and beautifully written, but can I just say that copper falls got amazing enigma when came to this town and you can’t even begin to realize the story this book takes you down when you are reading it. It is dark but so twistedly happy all at the same time. I literally read this book in one day it was that drawn in of a story

“Stranger Danger.” I do love a good nickname, but this one wins them all. In true L.A. Ferro fashion, ‘Rewriting Grey,’ was a romantic suspense masterpiece. With twists and turns, half truths, secrets & withheld information. Leaving the reader wondering what is true and what is just a series of misleading breadcrumbs. Quinn Collin’s rolls into town and makes a splash. Meeting Grey & Lou while broken down on the side of the road on her way to find out more about a mysterious death and a sister she didn’t know existed is just the start of what is going to be an emotional ride for her & Iverson Grey.

Whatever you think is happening, I can promise you there is so much more to the story. Just keep reading and be prepared to smile, laugh, cry, rage and then sigh with contentment.

I don't like the Author's writing style!
I understand the twist and turns made for a good story for others as for me it kinda left me a little confused, too many ways the story was going and i didn’t really understand what kind of book i was actually reading!

4.5 stars!

I reallllly liked this book, and it's the first I've read by this author, but it certainly won't be my last! I haven't read a romantic suspense in awhile, and I forgot how much they keep you on the edge of your seat. I felt the need to read the whole book in one sitting to find out the answers to the thousands of questions running through my mind- this book was that good.

It would have been five stars for me, but I felt there were a few plot holes, the biggest one being the journals (no spoilers) - all I'm going to say is there seemed to be too many journals floating around by the end and I don't understand how each got into different hands.

Otherwise, I loved this book! It had me stumped and second guessing what I thought was going to happen. I was convinced some of my outlandish predictions were right, only to be absolutely bamboozled, and that I think, is the mark of a well done romantic suspense!

There were a lot of character dynamics in this book, so if you have a hard time keeping up with lots of names - be prepared. I personally loved getting to meet all of the people in this small town that played a role in the story of our FMC, Quinn, and our MMC, Iverson. I especially loved our opening scene and how our FMC and MMC initially meet. I thought it was quite the unique intro.

Speaking of our FMC and MMC - L.A. Ferro brought the HEAT with the chemistry between these two like woweeee it was good and it was just the right amount. Iverson Grey, our MMC, is HOT. That's all I've gotta say because you need to read the book to really discover this enigmatic, well-accomplished, charming man.

If you like:
- romantic suspense
- hidden identity
- small town
- secrets
- plot twists
- spice
- HEA

then absolutely pick up this book! You won't be disappointed.

L A. Ferro has once again stolen my heart with her wonderful storytelling. I couldn't wait to dive between the delicious pages of the FMC, Quinn, and MMC, Iverson and be a part of their world as they collide, and what a whirlwind it was!

Quinn undertakes a journey into the unknown after hearing the news that she had a twin sister and she now has to settle her estate. She attempts to discover why she never knew of her existence, and to try and uncover other family links. On her journey there her Jeep decides to shred a tyre and Iverson and Eloise stop to offer help. Quinn is struck immediately by Iverson, but wrongly assumes his situation, which makes things a little awkward as they keep bumping into each other. Well Quinn thinks they do, but Iverson is just as taken with Quinn and changes his routine to seek her out.

I was impatient to find out how their story unfolded because I know the author loves to take her readers on a rollercoaster of a ride 🎢. There were bumps in the road (or should that be cliffs 🫣), secrets, intrigue, mystery, suspense, and such burning hot chemistry. As well as a cute four legged friend 🐾🐾.

If you like your romance sprinkled with some angst and suspense, twists and turns with amazing character growth and strength, with lots of heat 🥵, don't hesitate to slip between the delicious pages of this novel. I highly recommend it 🩶🫣🤭🫦🏕️🥵❤️‍🔥🫶💞

ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, I have to say this is a spicy read. There are lots of open door scenes. I really liked the overall story and characters, but the spice was too much for me 🤣 I know, I know. I guess I just have too many kids already (4 kids) and I am too tired! So if you like the spice spicy then this is for you. Read on for more info ♥️

The rest of the story had me totally on board and was full of twists and turns. The book description said it perfectly: The lines between right and wrong get blurry, and not all perfect endings are black and white.
Sometimes, they're grey, and somewhere in the grey lies the truth, and when it comes out, there's no predicting the ending.

Memorable quotes:

“A real man doesn't cheat. He's too busy looking for new ways to love the one he has."

"Bad choices make epic stories. Write one with me."

"I want your stories, Quinn. Some people believe their destiny is written in the stars. I believe it's written on our hearts, and I'm pretty sure the one inside you holds mine."

Thank you to Hambright PR the author L.A. Ferro for the advanced copy of the audio book!

Read if you enjoy✨
Small town
He falls first
Mistaken identity
Forced proximity

Okay so I met LA at RTD, and immediately grabbed Rewriting Grey, it had a lighthouse.

This is my first read, and certainly not the last!! The twist and turns, my goodness. I really enjoyed this read.

The story follows Quinn, who finds herself traveling to a smalltown after learning of the death of her sister. A sister she didn’t know she had until she received the call. Que the suspense from the get go!!
She’s almost to town when her jeep gets a flat and just when she’s accepted she’s sleeping in her car… Iverson pulls up. Iverson is the towns recluse but there is way more going on than we initially anticipate.

Watching these two constantly tossed into the same places, the banter, the tension. So good. The chemistry is instant and electric. But both of them have reasons for guarding their hearts.

Because of the plot twist and turns, I don’t want to give too much away, but I would definitely recommend giving this one a read!!

Also, the side characters were wonderful!! I wouldn’t be mad if Eloise & Cal get a story 🫶🏼

“Everyone has a poison, a vice, a habit they can't shake, and mine is her.”

I devoured Rewriting Grey. Very seldom do I read a book from start to finish in a day. I was captivated from the beginning. I feel like maybe I was left somewhere along the way, because I still had a couple questions at the end about the plot, but nonetheless loved the book.

Rewriting Grey took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. There was suspense, spice, chemistry, romance but also heartbreak, and trauma from both characters. I loved the cozy setting, I’m a sucker for small town/ out in the woods types of scenes and this one was just that. The side characters were also well established and I really enjoyed how thoroughly written everyone’s roll was. It made it easier for me to connect to the characters and their lives. Like some stories are written like stories but some are written like you’re part of that world and that’s exactly how this book felt for me.

Thank you so much Hambright PR, and L.A Ferro for this ebook in exchange for my honest opinion. I absolutely loved it!!
