4 "Christian Grey is so 2010, Smith Price will see you now" Stars
WARNING!: Read at your own risks. Extremely shitty review ahead. Sorry, I just wasn't in the mood to write, but it needed to be done. It's probably full of errors, but oh well, I can't be bothered. All you need to know: This book is amazing, you need to read it.
Three simple words: Oh my god! This book was so good it blew me away. Lots of people told me Belle and Smith’s story was even better than Clara and Alexander’s but I thought “Right…how could that be even possible…?” but that was stupid of me because you know what? They said the truth. This book was the first book in Belle and Smith’s story and I’m speechless. Crave Me was literally everything I ever wanted in a book. It was that good.

Compared to the first three books in the Royal Saga (Clara and Alexander’s story) this book was a lot darker. I wasn’t expecting it, and truth be told, it made me love Geneva Lee even more. It was dark, it was suspenseful and it was mysterious. Sometimes authors tend to write what feels like the exact same story over and over again and just change the names. As a reader, that can get pretty tiresome. However, what I truly admire with Geneva Lee is that she completely reinvented herself with this story. It was completely different from the three first books yet it was still daring and sexy. As it should be. Even the characters were very different, it wasn’t just a change of names. Clara could never be compared to Belle, just as Alexander could never be compared to Smith.
I love that Geneva Lee always gets right into the story, she doesn’t waste any time, and both characters always meet within the very first chapter. I was sucked right into the story with only a few lines. LINES. I’m not kidding. Nor am I exaggerating. It literally only took me a few lines to be completely entranced by this story. It was fast-paced, it kept me on edge, and it left me with many unanswered questions. I’m desperately trying to keep myself from reading the next book right away. Why? I have no idea, I guess I just like to purposefully make myself desperate.
This book contained a lot more elements of BDSM than the previous book did. I’d say this is pretty much BDSM, whereas the first three books were more light to moderate kinky stuff. But I don’t pretend to know anything about BDSM, so I might be wrong. Though, I think I’m pretty accurate when I say this book definitely had some major elements of BDSM. That’s for sure. So if you’re into that, make sure to pick it up, it’s a good one. I think I’ll even go as far as saying that Geneva Lee writes the best sex I’ve ever read. No exaggeration. It’s amazing. Really, and I mean really, hot. Smoking.
Smith Price is simply one of the most orgasm worthy men my kindle has ever been lucky enough to meet. That hot. He’s my new book boyfriend, no negotiation. You may read the book if you please, but Smith is mine. Are we clear on that? If I said he’s a sexy-as-sin-rich-as-hell arrogant arsehole of a lawyer who screws like a lion. Interested? I thought so too! Ha! Anyway, just read this book, you won’t regret it. I promise.

As for Belle? I actually really liked her character. In the first two books in the series, I wasn’t so sure about her. She seemed like a spoiled brat, and I really didn’t feel like reading her story. However, when we got to the third book she definitely got more interesting, and I was finally looking forward to reading her story. And then in this book, from the very first few pages, I started liking her a lot. She was sassy, she talked back, and let no one walk all over her…which certainly got her in trouble a couple of time with Smith, but that only meant a scorching hot sex scene after, so I wasn’t complaining. I liked that she was defiant. It took me a little bit more time to start liking Clara, but with Belle, it was pretty instant.
"Continue to provoke me, Beautiful. I like it."
To conclude this very shitty review, I’ll just say this: read this series. It’s a must. I can’t say it enough. It’s everything you were looking for but didn’t know you wanted. If you have yet to start reading this series: do it. Now.

You can read this after reading first 3 books, but you don't need to. Both will be fine and you can enjoy it. There is no cheating,but there is a lot of great stuff.
It starts with Belle finding new job, after her broken engagement. She needs it so she can get money for her new business plan (really good idea I must say). In first 3 books Belle was second character and I liked her there, but I did have few problems with here. In this one it was so much better. She is more mature and knows what she wants.
Smith Price is a famous and rich lawyer. He is mysterious and dominant in every aspect. Usually, I'm not fan of lawyers but Smith was definitely different.
When this book started I expected this book will be about relationship between boss and employer. But it was so much more!! Smith is working with ''grey law'', and he is not very open about it, which is not surprising. When Belle start working for him you can feel connection and lust between them. Lucky me, I didn't have to wait long for them to start working on that connection.
'' I don't know if I'm in love with him.''
''That is the thing about the fall. You don't really feel it until you hit the ground.''
Before I forget I need to say that this book has very hot BDSM element. And I mean, very,very hot.
This book is missing royal element that first 3 books have, but on every other aspect it was so much better, then them. The things that they have in common is that main characters have a shitty parents.
Also, I'm interested in reading Georgia story, even if I don't like her. I don't know, but I just feel like that, and I think she would be very interesting main characters. She was such a snake in Alexander and Clara story, but in this book you can see how hard her life really is.
I already started with reading next book (which is also about Belle and Smith), and I would probably finished it already if I wasn't so busy today.

Crave Me has the perfect blend of love, sex, danger, and alpha male!! Gah, I already want the sequel!

I'm not usually one who likes a hero who is a jerk but there is something about Smith that makes that part of him very appealing. He's intense and his reaction to Belle from the very beginning made this a story that I couldn't stop reading. I also love a hero who's filthy rich and wants to buy everything for the heroine. He's disguising it as something else besides his attraction to her so I'll be curious to see if he really did start this as something less and it just turned into more. Cryptic but necessary since this is just the 1st book to this couple.

Every time I read a Geneva Lee book I find myself physically responding and this book had the same effect. I found myself holding my breath with anticipation. My stomach muscles clenching with anxiety.
This book is an ADULT ROMMANCE! The main characters, Belle and Smith, are complex and well developed. None of that juvenile drivel of rainbows & perfection nonsense!
This is Nitty-Gritty. With substance and real MEAT to it. From the first word to the last, you will CRAVE MORE!

I liked this book more than any of Clara and Alexander's books, which surprised me because the later had royals and the prince as a hero. Maybe part of the reason is that I liked Belle more than Clara. I had really liked Belle's personality in Clara's books.
In the beginning, I was waiting for the moment that they would cross the line between boss & employee and was wondering how that would happen. I don't even remember how it happened, it seemed a little abrupt and unnatural to me. If I was less lazy, I would go back and reread that part, but I forgot which page it happened on.
To be honest, I wasn't really sure what Belle did for Smith other than get him coffee and fuck him senseless. She didn't seem to be doing anything legal or anything that would require an education. Frankly, I never even got why Smith needed an assistant in the first place.
The ending left me with a lot more questions than answers. What is Smith's connection to Hammond? And what is all the unsavory business about? Are they in cahoots with the mafia? How is Smith so wealthy? Also, why does Pepper want Philip so badly? (Does Philip have a title? I thought in Clara's books he did.)
I wasn't surprised when Belle found out that the bedroom Smith didn't want her entering was his .

Bisher für mich das Schwächste Buch aus der Reihe daher 2,5 Sterne!
Ich mochte Belle in den vorherigen Bänden eigentlich total gern aber in diesem Teil wurde sie mir einfach unsympathisch. Smith ist mir auch nicht sonderlich sympathisch.
Der Schreibstil war wie vorher auch schon sehr einfach und hat einen zum Weiterlesen verleitet.
Ich hatte einfach das Gefühl, diese Story schon (gefühlt) hundertmal gelesen zu haben und es war wirklich absolut gar nichts Neues dabei.
Ich bin mir daher noch nicht sicher, ob ich die Reihe weiterlesen werde...

It was ok.
The thing that made the first 3 books interesting was the royal aspect - and that's missing here :/ I loved Smith and Belle, but it was just this ordinary rich, dominant, mysterious guy story.
It's getting a bit more suspensy in the second one I guess....I'll let you know ;)
Oh, I love that Smith loves the Rolling Stones!!! I'm a huge fan - inherited that from my dad ☺

Von der ersten Seite an konnte ich nur denken: so ein schlechtes Buch. Die silberne Reihe war ja schon nicht überragend, aber das hier war wirklich einfach nicht gut. Im ganzen Buch ist eigentlich nix passiert, lediglich die letzten 10 (!) Seiten haben ein wenig Grund für Spekulationen gegeben. Das einzige was ausgiebig beschrieben wurde waren die Sex-Szenen und die nicht mal wirklich ansprechend. Alles andere musste man sich irgendwie selbst zusammen reimen.

Era da un po' che non avevo tra le mani un libro come questo Ardente desiderio, sembra infatti che negli ultimi tempi i maschi alfa super dominatori, prepotenti e maniaci del controllo non vadano più di moda, soppiantati dai machi micioni o dai nerd sexy o dai ragazzini in preda alle prime tempeste ormonali. Invece Geneva Lee ci propone di nuovo un Dominatore con la D maiuscola, molto simile al principe Alexander di Cambrige, protagonista dei primi tre libri, e lo incastona in una storia carica di mistero e di potenzialità suspense che in questo primo romanzo ci fa solo intravvedere ma che sembra avere grandi potenzialità. Lo stile di scrittura è sempre lo stesso, con una narrazione in prima persona estremamente diretta, senza filtri, e un uso sapiente del dirty talking. Il punto di vista alternato ci fa apprezzare anche i pensieri di Smith e ci fa entrare nella sua testa, dandoci i primi indizi di quello che succederà nei prossimi capitoli, mentre, come è ovvio, quando a narrare è Belle la visione è più ingenua, la ragazza scopre a piccoli passi quello che veramente c'è dietro la maschera dell'avvocato di successo.
Belle è una bella figura di donna, l'avevamo già conosciuta abbastanza bene nei primi tre romanzi della serie, figlia della buona società inglese ma dalla fortuna finanziaria in declino, si ritrova, dopo la rottura con il fedifrago Philip, a doversi reinventare da zero, a doversi trovare un lavoro per mantenersi e cercare di risparmiare qualcosa che le permetta di realizzare il suo sogno di piccola imprenditrice della moda. È risoluta, sicura di se e non ha paura di inseguire i suoi sogni, Smith le fa scoprire un lato di se che non sapeva di avere, e le fa assaggiare per la prima volta il mondo del BDSM, con la promessa di farle esplorare il suo lato sottomesso in maniera più approfondita, ma il loro rapporto appena nato si scontra presto con le vicende inquietanti che iniziano a girare intorno a loro e che saranno di certo approfondite in seguito. Il nostro protagonista è un Dominatore d'altri tempi, misterioso ed enigmatico, è il classico felino da preda pericoloso e irresistibile, uno stereotipo forse un po' datato ma proprio perché ormai vagamente fuori moda mi è piaciuto moltissimo, ha grandi potenzialità anche se sono quasi certa che presto si trasformerà anche lui nel classico macho micione che è l'evoluzione quasi naturale delle figure maschili letterarie come lui.

Il punto di vista alternato ci fa apprezzare anche i pensieri di Smith e ci fa entrare nella sua testa, dandoci i primi indizi di quello che succederà nei prossimi capitoli, mentre, come è ovvio, quando a narrare è Belle la visione è più ingenua, la ragazza scopre a piccoli passi quello che veramente c'è dietro la maschera dell'avvocato di successo.
Belle è una bella figura di donna, l'avevamo già conosciuta abbastanza bene nei primi tre romanzi della serie, figlia della buona società inglese ma dalla fortuna finanziaria in declino, si ritrova, dopo la rottura con il fedifrago Philip, a doversi reinventare da zero, a doversi trovare un lavoro per mantenersi e cercare di risparmiare qualcosa che le permetta di realizzare il suo sogno di piccola imprenditrice della moda. È risoluta, sicura di se e non ha paura di inseguire i suoi sogni, Smith le fa scoprire un lato di se che non sapeva di avere, e le fa assaggiare per la prima volta il mondo del BDSM, con la promessa di farle esplorare il suo lato sottomesso in maniera più approfondita, ma il loro rapporto appena nato si scontra presto con le vicende inquietanti che iniziano a girare intorno a loro e che saranno di certo approfondite in seguito. Il nostro protagonista è un Dominatore d'altri tempi, misterioso ed enigmatico, è il classico felino da preda pericoloso e irresistibile, uno stereotipo forse un po' datato ma proprio perché ormai vagamente fuori moda mi è piaciuto moltissimo, ha grandi potenzialità anche se sono quasi certa che presto si trasformerà anche lui nel classico macho micione che è l'evoluzione quasi naturale delle figure maschili letterarie come lui.

The Rivals hooked me on Geneva Lee, leaving me desperate to read more of the author’s work. As it’s so popular, I decided to give the Royals a try next. Crave Me is book four in the series, but it is the start of Belle’s story arc. Although there are clear references to the storyline that played out in the first book, I was able to read this one without any prior knowledge. That said, there were some spoilers.
I’ll be honest and say it took a while for me to fall for Crave Me. It was interesting, I was eager to see what came next, but it didn’t pull me in as deep as my prior Geneva Lee read. In truth, it was flickering between a three-star rating and a four-star rating for a while. However, the way things moved in the latter part of the book had me hooked. I could not put it down, and there were lots of elements introduced that have me eager to see how everything comes together.
All in all, this was an enjoyable read. It’s not the strong four-star rating that I have given other books by the author, but it was addictive enough to have me powering through it and rounding my rating up.

Whether you love them or despise them will remain to be seen, but their story will draw you in and it’ll hook you from the very beginning. I found myself in total rapture by Belle and Smith’s story as it began, continued and evolved. I couldn’t put the dang book down! Geneva Lee creates an atmosphere of total of undeniable, unrestrained passion, while weaving in the thrills, secrets, and deception. Watching two characters literally locked in a battle of wills, trying to deny their inevitable chemistry does indeed amuse, but when the flame refuses to extinguished that’s when it gets real. White hot passion, an unexplored and unknown desire to be tamed, the absolute need to possess and dominate, and tortured pasts are all about to converge in one truly hypnotizing read. Some of the scenes made me blush, a lot of them made me very warm and more than a few made me glance over my shoulder! Crave Me captivated me, from start to finish. It also ended in a bit of a cliff hanger, it was just enough to illicit a full blown temper tantrum from me when I finished! I needed more pages! I need to know what will happen next, I need answers! Band 4 der Royal Reihe von Geneva Lee dreht sich um Belles Geschichte. Es ist sozusagen ein Spinnoff nach den ersten drei Bänden. Insgesamt wird es 12 Bände der Reihe geben.
Ich mochte Belle von Anfang an sehr gerne. Ihre Selbstbewusste Art hat mich fasziniert. Doch dieses Selbstbewusstsein hat mir ab dem zweiten Drittel des Buches total gefehlt. Ihre Entwicklung durch Smith hat für mich einen deutlichen Rückschritt gemacht. Sie hat sich ihm vollständig unterworfen, was mich an vielen Stellen nicht gefallen hat. Es gab seeehr viel Sexy Time, was teilweise zu viel des Guten war.
Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist angenehm und die Länge der Bücher sind gut für zwischendurch. Auch der klassische Cliffhanger am Ende ist typisch Geneva Lee. Für mich ist Royal Dream bisher der schwächste Teil und bekommt von mir 3 Sterne. Dennoch werde ich die Reihe weiterlesen.

The timeline confused me a bit. This apparently begins before the end of book 3, and I didn't enjoy it that much. This is a pretty quick read, with insta-lust, some sexual tension and then they fall into bed. There is a sudden ending, though, which made me most unhappy. The conflict is not solved, but postponed, which I don't enjoy.

I really love Belle and Smith! I always struggle in series when you get devoted to the main characters and then they switch to different ones. Nope, not in this series. I almost feel like I love Belle and Smith a little more than Clara and X.

Leider hat mich das Buch rund um Belle und Smith überhaupt nicht überzeugt. Ich musste mich quälen um die ersten Kapitel zu lesen und habe es schließlich ganz abgebrochen. Sehr schade, weil mir die Geschichte um Clara und Alexander sehr gute gefallen hat. :(

Well if you didn't get enough in the main series with Alexandra and Clara, you know that there's so much more that could be done with Belle, Clara's roommate. We last knew that Belle had been cheated on by her fiance Phillip and she was now starting a new chapter in her life - trying to move on. She's now in a different situation though cause she has no job, and Phillip had provided her with financial support which she no longer has. So this is the story of how she begins to stand on her own two feet.
That of course takes us to the law offices of Smith Price - a man who is looking for a personal assistant. Somehow Belle manages to land that job, and she's in way over her head since from the second they meet, there's an electricity between them, so much heat and tension that it's palpable. (and very different than what we had in the first bits of this series).
So the journey that we go on is one that's heated, intense and quite complicated. Our author keeps things very close to the vest in the sense that we really dont know what we're getting into - we don't know what Price's background is aside from that fact that it's shrouded in mystery and danger. Belle knows this but still manages to get ensnared in all that is him.
We see a variety of folks come into the story that want to hurt both of them, and we see that one in particular, the man who gave Price his start is really after him for something or another. We don't yet know what the end game is for either but we know that it's not good. Add in Georgia, Price's pseudo sister and Hammond's 'daughter' and we learn that there's definitely a bit of twisted ness going on.
Top that all off, we get a glimpse into the Alpha male that Price is - his need for control, dominance and submission. we learn of Velvet, a BDSM club that he's involved in and yet we don't know what the extent of all that is.
Where we are left at the end is a place where we totally expect to be - Price is trying to protect Belle at all costs and that means that their relationship has to change and not in a good way. soo...onto the next!

J’avais moyennement apprécié la saga principale avec Clare et Alexander, toutefois, j’étais aussi curieuse de découvrir l’histoire avec Belle.
Et vous savez quoi ? Je ne le regrette absolument pas ! Je l’ai lu d’une traite et adoré ! Je pense que c’est surtout parce que Belle est le genre d’héroïne que j’aime. Elle ne se laisse pas marcher sur les pieds et cela ne l’empêche pas d’avoir ses moments de faiblesse.
Alors qu’elle se remet de sa séparation avec l’autre branquignol royal qui l’a trompée, Belle décide de reprendre totalement sa vie en main et de travailler. Ses pas vont la conduire chez un étrange avocat qui va lui donner un post pour les moins… Particulier !
Smith Price est une énigme : froid, autoritaire, manipulateur, dominant, mais… incroyablement sexy ! J’avoue, messieurs dames les jurés, j’ai craqué ma culotte pour lui !
Enfin bref, il ne laissera pas Belle insensible non plus, et même si dès le départ le travail qu’il lui demande ressemble plus à celui d’une soumise qu’à celui d’une assistante, on fonce tête baissée !
Voilà un personnage qui a su me donner chaud alors que je ne suis pas forcément fan des dominants (trop lu, trop vu), mais la manière dont l’auteure nous le présente et l’emmène… On a envie, comme Belle, de savoir comment fissurer sa carapace et croyez-moi, c’est loin d’être gagné. Parce qu’en plus, le beau monsieur est un brin vulgaire et là encore, loin de me rebuter, j’ai eu envie de mieux le connaître… Comme Belle.
Ah ah ! Oui, je sais, ce n’est pas moi l’héroïne. Et sinon, on retrouve avec plaisir (quand même) l’entourage de Belle avec Edward, Alexander et Clare sur le point d’accoucher.
Ce premier tome pose les bases, oui juste les bases de l’histoire entre Smith et Belle. La fin ne m’a donné qu’une envie : sauter sur le tome suivant. Oui, parce que ça se termine par un sacré rebondissement que je n’avais pas vu venir. L’armure de notre héros dominateur est à peine ébréchée et on sent qu’il y a énormément à découvrir par la suite.

Ehrlich gesagt habe ich die Beziehung von Belle und Smith nicht durchschaut. Da fehlt es mir an Handlung. Dafür waren die erotischen Szenen sehr explizit.
Trotzdem wurde die Spannung aufrecht erhalten, man weiß nur wenige Details und giert förmlich nach mehr Information.
Irgendwie wie eine Serie, nicht berauschend gut oder tiefgründig aber mit ausreichend Cliffhangern gespickt um dabei zu bleiben.

This series has been truly fascinating and continues to be. Although the last book was not a favorite for me, this one... I don't know if I just can not wrap my head around things or if I don't like what I read. Like, this entire series makes me sligjtly uncomfortable but this one pushes it a bit further.

Ich mag den Schreibstil von Geneva Lee total ,aber leider kommt mir Smith dezent wie eine Kopie von Christian Grey vor. Trotzdem hat mir das Buch relativ gut gefallen und ich werde die Reihe auf jeden Fall beenden.

Oh my god! This book was so good it blew me away.
I liked this one more than the first three books. It's about the best friend of Clara (the first person in the three first books). You don't have to read the other ones to start with this one, but there are a few things that are important to know about what happened to Belle in those books. Also important characters who has something to do with Price secrets were introduced.
I enjoyed how their love connected with each other, a lot more than Clara and Alexander. There were no afairs only loyalty and trust.
I LOVED the erotic scenes so much more! This book contained a lot of BDSM. It was dark, it was suspenseful and it was mysterious. <3

We met Belle in the first book of this Saga (I just read the first one and jumped into his one, that can be read as a standalone) as the best friend of the future Queen of England, she was in love, engaged and full o life. Now we see her struggling with life after ending her engagement after founding the fianceè cheating. She has found a job with Smith Price, a hota, young, broody lawyer in the grey side of law and there's and instant attraction. He has a dominant side and she's finding her submissive one, there's secrets between them and they're facing both of their pasts.
The thing is both the charachters were flat. Smith was moody just because as Belle was annoying, just because. I couldn0t stand any o them. Too shallow even though they seem to have deeper personalities, I say "seem" because the author couldn't really get to that, it stayed in the surface picturing 2 charachters that had an attraction just because.
Another thing for me is that, although I read books somewhat to escape reality, I like them to have real solid ground. This book is a bit about the royal family of England and the situationes pretty much show them as any other charachter when they're not. They do not hang out in restaurants in London, they do not let you in unannounced, even I now that!! C'mon! put some reality in it! And make Belle work at least once!

I loved Belle in Alexander and Clara's books, and I couldn't wait for her story. She's always played a part for everyone in her life, but she never really had anything for herself. In Crave Me, Geneva Lee introduces Belle to the man she needs to help free herself from her family/life's constrains, but it comes at a price because the man who owns her body and her heart is a man full of secrets and surrounded by dangerous people, so Belle is going to need to decide if she can live with all of his predilections and the mystery that surrounds his life or refuse to give into her cravings for him, which is not an easy decision when the heart and body want one thing and the mind is saying something completely different.
Smith Price is an enigma throughout the story; there are multiple layers to his personality as well as his duplicity, and it’s quite unclear what his end game is with Belle and his associates. But one thing is for sure, Price is a calculated man who takes risks, but those actions have to be worth it, and it seems as if Belle was meant to be one thing and then turned into something else, and he doesn’t quite know what to do with that yet, but he’s working on it. I’m glad Ms. Lee gives readers Price’s perspective because it’s necessary to understand the strategies behind his decisions and the conflicting feelings he has as he starts a physical relationship with Belle.
Geneva Lee expertly crafts a tale of sex, intrigue, and passion. Belle didn't want to give into her desire for Price, but through Lee's writing, readers understand that it was inevitable because he made her feel more alive than she's ever been. But the danger is lurking and readers will have to wait for the continuation of Belle's story to see what Price is willing to do/sacrifice for the woman who seems to own his soul.
