When in Rome is a collection of warped, wacky, and sincere stories and humour pieces that dive into the absurdity of life. It covers everything from religion (Jesus has something to say about the chocolate Easter eggs) to creation (be there when God came up with man’s best friend), the Cretaceous Period (a look inside the minds of two of the last dinosaurs to roam the earth), big business (the latest corporate shenanigans at Coca-Cola), literature (Moby Dick's origin story), the human condition (the manager of a coffee shop stresses over the line on the sidewalk chalkboard), even romance (what it’s like dating the girl who voices Google Maps).
At times haha funny and at other times also funny, but in more of a smirk or chortle kind of way, When in Rome brings the funny. Whether it's a taste of everyday or existential, parenthood or pop culture, spiritual or spaced out, it comes courtesy of a singularly screwy point of view that reminds us all to laugh at the ridiculousness of the world.
Hey there, I'm Aaron, an author and creative director. So, are you ready for me to brag about myself? Good. Here goes. For starters, I wrote a book, When in Rome: A collection of absurdity. I'm also an award-winning copywriter. And, I have been voted World's Greatest Dad 14 years in a row. According to my mom, I could go on, but I'm into the whole brevity thing, so that's all for now.
