Asha Qistina is an influencer and social media personality known for her curated aesthetic of beauty and books. With over a million followers, Asha has become a guiding light for many young girls, steering them towards her lifestyle.
However, Asha’s online personality differs from the Asha in real life. What her followers don’t know is that she puts on a filter for every livestream and doesn’t even provide honest reviews of her skincare products.
When the line between the digital realm and real life blurs, Asha’s own face starts transforming into the very filters she uses on Glimmergram. She finds herself caught in a battle with the supernatural. Doll-face filters and face distortion filters materialise onto her face, and she has no idea how to save herself.
Will Asha get her face back, or will social media filters be etched onto her face for eternity?
Oh hi there! I'm Farhah and I've been wanting to be a writer since I was 11. I'm a picky mood reader who enjoys horror, mysteries, and romcoms, and I hope you'll enjoy my books too :)
When I'm not writing, you can find me listening to Taylor Swift and actively picking songs for specific scenes of my books. You can find me on Instagram @sc4rletwitch and TikTok @sc4rletwitchhh. The iconic usernames stay (for now).
read this in one sitting! got me hooked from start to finish because the twists just kept on coming.
i never thought i'd be so invested in an influencer's life yet here we are. the premise is so unique, and the supernatural elements, especially with the presence of the doppelgänger, is so cool!
even though it's short, the characters are very distinct and i can feel their different personalities deeply. connecting with them and their own motives behind their actions flows very easily as well.
i just wish we got more of the doppelgänger and an in-depth backstory of the filters, and why this doppelgänger came to be. it'd be great to learn more about that!
This book is very intriguing. I read this in one sitting. It's a must-read, and I looove the twists. Looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Well written. Fast-paced book. Good for teen reads or new readers. I like that the author insert the morality into the story. The ending is okay. I think the author wants to make it a little bit drama but that's okay. Somehow it is needed to be done. When I purchased this book, I was intrigued by the synopsis. It is 115 pages long and 10 chapters. Light read for me and you can just finish it in one sitting. It can be more long than 115 pages though. I would like to know more about the doppelganger discovery. Anyhow, well done on your first writing! Looking forward to your next book!
Such a good story, I finished it in 1 am in the morning while camping. Four stars for everything, the story ye. One star no no because well kinda need more explanation.
I’ll keep this review short. The book’s premise is interesting, the characters are fleshed out, and the story is good, though I’m sure that the story can flow better if it is just a few pages longer, but I guess that’s just me. Sure, it’s not perfect, and the scare factor is not high, but I appreciate its existence, and I’m sure that it can still give good lessons to readers about being honest and true to yourself and others cause that’s what matters with this book. For her first book, yeah, like damn. Definitely recommended.
picked this up because the premise sounded interesting, and it was! ^^ the story had a nice plot, though imo the pace felt a bit slow at times. there were some parts that left me with questions, but what stood out the most, and even made me shed tears a lil bit ㅠㅠ, was the life lesson. thought it was about self-acceptance, but in the end, it hit deeper— truth, lies, and finding yourself. a short but meaningful read!
The story is about fraud influencer encounter with her monster doppelgänger killer. Interesting storyline, not dragging, not too many plots. Surely enjoy the light reading. Kudos!
