Racing heart? Check. Damp palms? Check. All signs indicate I’ve got it bad for Lady Isabella Blankenship.

It could be contagious, since Iz shows all the same symptoms. But what’s got her pulling back anytime things blaze between us? I know a modern-day duchess might have baggage from finding out she’s the illegitimate child of a dead American philanderer with more kids than morals. But Izzy’s on edge, and there’s more to it than run-of-the-mill culture shock.

Turns out I’m not the only guy drawn to her. She’s shadowed 24/7 by protective siblings, an amorous pig named Kevin, and a deadly-looking stranger skulking around Ponderosa Resort. It’s more drama than I’ve seen since my days as an Army doc, so I’m happy to lend Iz a shoulder or any body part she needs.

But what are my odds of diagnosing what ails Izzy before my royal crush makes a run for it?

Dr. Hot Stuff is the ninth and final book in the Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedies series by Tawna Fenske. I have enjoyed this series so much. I have fallen in love with each couple as I have gotten to know them. And each book is the perfect mix of humor, swoon, sexy times, and even some suspense sprinkled here and there. I think it’s perfect that the last book is Izzy’s book, the sister the Bracelyn siblings never knew they had.

Lady Isabella (Izzy) Blankenship’s life completely changed when she realized she had a whole bunch of half brothers and a half sister living in Oregon. She’s been living at Ponderosa Resort for a year now, bonding with her new family. But she has known all along that her time there had an expiration date. That her parents were going to insist she return home to her own country to fulfill her obligations.

Dr. Bradley Parker is an ex-army doctor and now has his own private practice in Bend, Oregon. Living life as a civilian doctor may not have been what he originally planned but he loves his life and is glad to be close to both his sister and his mom.

Both Bradley and Izzy are nearly thirty years old. Both have been crushing on each other since Izzy first arrived in Oregon. What was it that finally gave them the courage to act on their feelings towards each other? No matter the reason, these two had a year of pent up feelings towards each other and it didn’t take long for things to heat up.

But Izzy isn’t as alone as she thought she was at Ponderosa Resort. Someone from her own country has been watching from the shadows. Is he someone there to protect her or to hurt her? And then there is Kevin, the most adorable little pig you’ve ever seen. Izzy wants to try out being a foster mom to a pet and what better animal to try with than a pig named Kevin!

“I never knew I had a thing for royal speak.”
“Just like I never knew I had a thing for doctors.”

This was the perfect ending to the series. All of the Bracelyn’s have found their HEA’s. They have accepted Izzy like she was always part of them. But Izzy has kept secrets from her siblings, and from Bradley. Secrets that have made her hold back. Secrets that were going to break her heart when it was time to leave. But being a part of this family has helped Izzy to learn who she was and what she wants. Now all she has to do is find the courage to make it happen.

When I read the previous book, Snowbound Squeeze, I wrote in my review how I was excited to read the Juniper Ridge series now that we’d been given a little sneak peek. But this book also gives us a little peek into the Assassins In Love series as we meet Dante, the hero of the first book. I am so excited about both of these series and can’t decide which will be next. Rest assured, though, that my journey through Tawna Fenske’s books will be going on for a long time!

Favorite Quotes:

She bit a kid at daycare…. Tell me that’s a normal stage of development and I’m not raising a serial killer.

If we were out together drawing undue attention, she’d stare at someone with this evil look and say, ‘I must find a new host body. Yours looks suitable.’ It never failed to send them running.

That’s going in the wedding vows—‘ to love, honor, and get the hell out of my way.’

Let’s go old disgracefully together.

My Review:

I am sad to see the end of these smirk-worthy series as each entertaining installment has been a delightful escape into clever and irreverent humor that began with the cheesy titles and cover models and doesn’t stop until the back cover. Dr. Hot Stuff maintained the trend in style while featuring a sexy medical nerd and a European royal. The variegated Bracelyn family tree just kept expanding and spreading their uniquely appealing genes and bawdy humor among the masses. It has been so quite educational as in this installment alone I have learned twenty new colorful euphemisms for genitalia and birth control. And to think my mother always chided severely whenever she caught me reading fiction, claiming it was a complete waste of time.

Dr. Hot Stuff is the ninth and unfortunately the last sexy delightful book in the Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedies series.

I fell in love with Tawna's Rom Com's after reading her wonderful Assassin in Love series, Killer Instincts. It has the right mix of humour, angst, trouble, heartache, insecurities, haunted pasts, and longing. I laughed and sighed my way through the book as our couples come together with hope in their hearts.

This delightful book has big tough men brought to their knees by sassy women. But there are moments of tension and suspense to give the story another layer.

I can't wait to read more.

I have thouroughly enjoyed reading the Ponderosa Resort series and am a little sad to see the last of the siblings. Isabella Blankenship and Dr Bradley Parker struggle with her royal duties in Dr Hot Stuff. Izzy is initially very reserved and closed off due to her royal upbringing, whereas Bradley is a much more open, take the initiative type person. You would think their personalities would not mesh well however, Tawna Fenske manages to create enough intrigue and attraction between the two characters to create this great story.

Secrets, surprises and steaminess are the words that first come to mind when thing about this book!

Isabella is the surprise Bracelyn sibling and she made quite an entrance to their world. Now she has the family she always dreamed of, her body is recovering from life-saving surgery and the cute doctor she's been crushing on keeps coming around. It seems perfect but Isabella's secrets are just below the surface and threaten her new life.

I love this series and this new book is a great addition. Funny, witty, steamy and at times emotional, the last of the Ponderosa Ranch books will leave you smiling for days after.

After her dramatic entrance into the Bracelyn fold, Isabella is so content at Ponderosa Resort and dreads her return to Dovlano to fulfill her obligations as the only child in the royal family. She knows her time in Oregon is coming to an end, but she can't fight the draw she's felt to Dr. Parker from the first moment she laid eyes on him...or the adorable pig Kevin that she's agreed to foster.

As Isabella and Bradley grow closer, the pressure to return home is intensified, with her fathers guard making an appearance - and working her half siblings into a state of concern from their long lost sister.

I loved the banter between the sheltered Isabella and the sexy doctor. Her internal monologue...well, it's downright hysterical.

Doctor Hot Stuff is the perfect conclusion to the Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedies...and opened the door for another spin off ....

This book brought me laughs, tender moments between the siblings...not only the Bracelyn's, but Bradley and his sister as well. And the chemistry between the main characters is off the charts.I adored this book, and I hope we're given some glimpses back into the Bracelyn clan in the future.

I'm sorry to see this series end. Dr. Hot Stuff brought Lady Isabella Blankenship to Ponderosa Resort to meet her biological father's family. They all accept her with open arms! I just love that family.

Izzy fell for Dr. Bradley Parker the moment she met him but knew nothing could come of her feelings for him because she had to return to Dovlano to fulfill her royal duties.

I enjoyed this wonderful romantic comedy. Many things made me smile - humourous banter and Kevin, the pig Izzy fostered. But there were sweet moments, too. I loved how the Bracelyns were always there for each other (including Izzy). And the strong attraction between Bradley and Izzy was wonderful.

The ending was a surprise and I loved it.

I am happy to have won this book and hope to see these characters pop up in future series.

I love this Bracelyn family…no matter all of the strange twists and ummmm…promiscuity it took to create it!

Dr. Hot Stuff is the 9th book in The Ponderosa Resort series, written by the fantastically hilarious romance author, Tawna Fenske. When Lady Isabella “Izzy” Blankenship’s time at the Ponderosa Resort is almost up, she FINALLY kisses Dr. Bradley Parker and Booooyyyy does that complicate things!!!

So many wonderful side characters! All of the Bracelyn siblings, family members, and a creepy stalkerish guy…and I can’t forget…KEVIN!!!

Can the doc heal what ails them, or will her heart be the next thing needing a transplant? This is a perfect blend of humor, heat, romance, suspense, family, tragedy, and hidden secrets. Loved this and give it 4.5 stars!

This has been a wonderful series to get wrapped up in all the Bracelyn siblings and connecting characters. This is Izzy's story who is the newly discovered sibling and secret daughter of Cort Bracelyn. Izzy is Lady Isabella Blankenship and her life has been filled with family obligations and royal duties. When she comes to the Ponderosa Resort and gets to know her siblings her whole world has changed and part of that change comes from meeting Dr. Bradley Parker.

Brad has had to sacrifice for his family but he is ready to focus on himself and his focus is on Izzy. If he can't have her for himself he will be happy to just be her friend but he wants so much more. As they become closer he discovers there is more to Isabella Blankenship than he first thought.

This book has romance and mystery and a sweet pig and all the Bracelyn family all wrapped up in this story. We have surprises to deal with and struggles as well. Izzy must learn where her loyalties lie and what she is willing to give up for family.

I received an early copy to read and review with my honest opinion. I loved this book. It has so much and I highly recommend it. It is book 9 in the series but they are all stand alone and give enough background to read by themselves but they are all so good I hope you will check out the others too.

I am so going to miss those crazy Bracelyn siblings, but what a way to end the series! Izzy, the “newest” member of the family, has been crushing on Dr. Bradley Parker since she went into organ failure at her sister’s wedding a year ago. What she didn’t know was that he was interested in her, as well. But now their attraction has a time limit on it. What’s a proper Lady suppose to do? A sweet little kiss might be the answer.
I adore Izzy! She may have been raised a royal lady but she definitely got a naughty side, and Bradley is the lucky recipient. These two spark while just looking at each other. Add in their dialogue, an interesting cooking lesson and a pig named Kevin, and this book went from great to can’t-put-it-down!
I love the cameos of not only Izzy’s brothers and sister, but of their significant others, as well...all who give Izzy the love and acceptance she craves and has been missing all her life. Bradley is protective but never stifling of Izzy, proving hers the perfect guy for her, if given a chance.
Ms. Fenske has once again brought humor, hotness and heart to the Ponderosa Resot. So while I’m sorry to see these characters go, I just know she’s got many more new people for readers to meet in new and awesome books in the future. It’s makes the end a little easier to bear.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Oh, how I wish Ponderosa Resort were a real place that I could escape to currently! I've loved all the books in the Ponderosa Resorts Series, and this newest novel did not disappoint. Following the story of Dr. Bradley Parker, and one of the newest additions of the Bracelyn clan, Lady Isabella Blankenship, Dr. Hot Stuff is yet another fun, funny, sexy, and page turning novel from Fenske.

Dr. Bradley is on the lookout for a serious relationship and his connection to Lady Isabella is hard to deny. As Izzy attempts to navigate her newfound passel of siblings, American culture, and some deep seated issues from childhood, Dr. Bradley tries to keep his passions for her at bay. Will the two end up snuggled with Kevin the pig and a pile of transplant friendly corndogs? Or will the mysterious henchman and Izzy's storied past be too much for the sweet couple to overcome?

As always, Fenske's characters are full or depth. Funny, sexy, and developed in ways generally unseen in the romance world, and the Bracelyn's are a family you'd want to quarantine with. Dr. Hot Stuff is everything you need to help you escape 2020 and end the year on a sexy high note.

What a perfect way to end this great series with Isabella (Izzy) and Bradley. I loved their chemistry and of course their flirting and innuendos and I did appreciate that they had a friendship which turned into something a little more, but Izzy was definitely hiding something from not only Bradley but the Bracelyn’s as well. I have to say I liked Dante from the start, and I appreciated how he treated Izzy even if he wanted to act indifferent, you could see his affection for her, and I really enjoyed Bradley and his medical knowledge and Izzy and her knowledge of pigs. This story is really great, but I must admit I was still a tad confused once I figured out who Dante was, who else might be in the picture. I was not sure what was going to happen with Izzy and Bradley especially once the truth came out, plus there was so much going on after the wedding and of course I should have known that a surprise guest would make an appearance, but it is a good thing he did with the craziness that ensued. The ending to this story was truly magical. I laughed, cried, and did not want to say goodbye to the Bracelyn family or Ponderosa Resort. I am however excited to see that a new series is coming next year including Dante. This series will be on my re-read rotation going forward.

First the good news: Dr. Hot Stuff has all the things we’ve come to expect from Tawna Fenske: believable multi-dimensional characters, passionate sex, intrigue, humor, excellent, snappy dialog and even the added plus of rescue animals! The bad news? This is the last book in the Ponderosa Resort series, set at a luxury resort in Oregon. These nine books have been my favorites of all of Tawna’s books (I’ve read over 30 of them!). I loved following the stories of the Bracelyn siblings and the loves of their lives. This last book is Isabella’s story (Lady Isabella), who travels from the (fictional) country of Dovlano to meet the brothers and sister she never knew existed (they share the same father, Cort Bracelyn, but all have different mothers—yes, Cort was a very busy man). Through a series of events, she also meets Dr. Bradley Parker, and sparks fly from the very beginning. There are struggles as she comes to terms with her desire for love and her obligations to her family and her country, and some twists that caught me by surprise. A thoroughly enjoyable happily ever after. I received this ARC for an honest review.

"I kissed Bradley. I kissed Bradley. Oh my God, I kissed Bradley. This is the phrase that's been pulsing through my brain for days."

Isabella (Izzy) loves getting to know her family at Ponderosa Resort. Siblings she never knew she had. Little did she know that when she came here, her life would be saved by her brother and her heart would be stolen by Dr. Bradley Parker. She knows she can't stay. Izzy has to go back to her home. She has obligations. She can't let herself get involved with Bradley. But that kiss...

Bradley has not been able to get Izzy out of his mind since the moment he met her. He senses she is interested in him, but doesn't know where the hesitancy is coming from. He knows she doesn't plan on staying, he thinks that she does have the option to change her mind.

I love these two characters! They have wonderful chemistry. This is a fun and wonderful finale' of the Ponderosa Resort series. Thank you, Tawna Fenke, for the fun ride!

So sad that this wonderful series is coming to an end!

I would love this story for using the expression "go-thither look" alone. But there's so, so much more.

"With the way Bradley kisses—soft and gentle and achingly slow—I can picture myself doing this for the next fifty years. Longer, even."

Sa-woon!

I loved spending time with Izzy and Bradley, and I was rooting for them from page one until they finally got their well-deserved HEA.
As always, having the meddling family along for the ride makes for some memorable moments - sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartwarming, and sometimes both.
Two characters who almost stole the show were Kevin, the rescue pig, and the mysterious Dante (whom I could totally see starring in a spinoff...).

I had so much fun - besides all the heartache, the swoonery, and a fair amount of nail-biting - with the Bracelyn family, and this book is a fitting finale to this fabulous series.

While I remain a fan of the overall Ponderosa Resort series, this was my least favourite of the whole series. First the positive, I really love the humour in these stories and the writer has a wonderful, breezy style that brings the reader onboard with the unlikely characters and events. I loved Kevin and the camaraderie between the Bracelyn siblings is, as always, delightful. On the other hand, like a previous reviewer, I am so over the whole royal trope (and I am not American). Similarly, I found the whole ‘guilt over the baby brother’ to be particularly irritating. Why would the ‘royal’ family ever leave a 12-year-old in charge of an infant when they would have countless staff, nannies, etc. to watch over both kids? It would never happen. I also did not really like the big show-down toward the end. I don’t really like killings as a side in romance novels, especially when they involve the main characters and the whole thing just ‘disappears’.

Ever since the character of Izzy was introduced I was looking forward to reading her story. This book did not disappoint! Part of the charm of Izzy’s character from her previous appearances is the process that she is going through to find her place in the Bracelyn family, and also in a more everyday life setting and relationships. What was really a standout in this book was Izzy’s process of self-discovery as she learns not just how to fit as a member of her extended family, but find her own footing as an individual and a woman. Throw in a Doctor, who is a former soldier to boot and you get sparks! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read, even as a stand alone book. The humor and great supporting characters – especially Kevin the pig are a great bonus also!!

I am not ready to say good-bye to the Bracelyns! How is it that we're here!? I can't believe I have read all nine books!

Isabella and Bradley is the last couple we meet. Isabella is the last Bracelyn sibling, a royal with lots of secrets. Bradley is a former army doctor and all American sweetheart who's crushing on this naughty princess. Add a pet pig and you know you're in Ponderosa Resort!

This book is the perfect ending to this series! It has the witty comedic timing we've learned to expect with Ms. Fenske, along with elements of drama, intrigue, and mystery we've had throughout this series. I've been lucky to enjoy this fantastic series and can't recommend it enough

I first heard about Tawna Fenske in August of 2015 when her book "About That Fling" was featured as a "Kindle First." I have fallen in love with the way that she tells a story. Her characters are fun, and even ones you may not like at first tend to grow on you. Since then, I have read anything that I have found by Tawna.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about the Bracelyn family. Because of this, I sad to know that this would be the last “official” book in the Ponderosa Resort series. I did like this book; however, it took me longer to get into this one than it normally does (which caused the less than 5 star rating).

I enjoyed the mystery of trying to figure out what secret Izzy was hiding. Although I am sad that the series is ending, I like that I will still be able to “live in their world” through the Juniper Ridge series. I can’t wait for the next book!

so good

I loved Izzy’s story. We finally got to see the real her after all the drama back in Jon’s book. She has survived a kidney transplant and now has settled with all the siblings she never knew she had. She still has her overly proper Lady moments being raised royally but you get to see some of her kick ass side come out. Bradley is awesome. He is swoon worthy with his military background and being a doctor. He has wanted Izzy for awhile. Just as she has wanted him. But she has been promised to another by her arranged marriage from her parents. Which on an aside I think is not fair. Then there is the plot line of thinking she doesn’t deserve happiness because of how her baby brother died. Loved how steamy and down and dirty Bradley and iz get. Great story can’t wait for Dante’s book.

I have loved every book in the Ponderosa series and have completely fell in love with the Bracelyns!! I am going to miss this family so much.

Izzy and Bradley were the perfect end to this series. They brought some humor, some angst, and some suspense to the resort. I loved how much these two had a commitment to their families and loved so fiercely.

Lady Isabella Blankenship may not have known about her siblings until recently but she fit in with them flawlessly. I am going to miss the Bracelyns but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll see them in the spinoff series and other books to come!!!

What a great way to end a great series. I loved the romance between Isabella “Izzy” and Bradley. Isabella is royalty that came to Oregon to find her family and receive a kidney from one of her brothers. Isabella loved meeting her family and living her life the way she wants.. Meeting Bradley and falling for him made what Isabella had to do very difficult.
It was great to see the rest of the Bracelyn’s again and see how they are doing. It was also great to meet Dante, I wasn’t sure how I felt about him right away but that changed and now I am looking forward to more of him.
This was a great ending to the Bracelyn’s and I would recommend this book.

I loved this book. I am sad the series has come to an end. This was my first series from Tawna and I truly enjoyed the entire series. This series had me hooked on Tawna's writting and I have since read many titles of her's. Tawna does a wonderful job writing in the other siblings/characters to keep you learning what is going on with everyone. In this book, Izzy and Bradley have a rollercoaster ride of a relationship as they both have feelings but Izzy keeps Bradley at a distance because of the secrets she is carrying around. Tawna keeps everyone guessing with the secrets. Dante is mysterious and so are the reasons why he is at the resort. I LOVED Kevin (Bacon) the foster pig.

Lady Isabella Blankenship is meeting up at the Ponderosa a resort/ranch in the USA where she is meeting all the half siblings she has- all fathered by the same man! She was attending the reunion when she winds up in renal failure and needing a kidney transplant. I won't give away all the plot like I have a tendency to do but the Dr. that performs the transplant and "Izzy" fall in love and along with a pig named Kevin and a strange man with a bald hanging around and spying on Izzy there are more mysteries than answers. When her parents insist that she return home to an arranged marraige and she is in love with the handsome MD Bradley things get complicated! A very unusual good read!

I liked the main characters here very much, but I felt like this story was just too short to really feel that they were connected enough to be in love. The background story for Izzy as well as all the other characters in the series just took up too much time from the main couple and their experiences together.
I like this author and enjoyed many funny, clever moments, but not enough to pay for her books at the normal high prices. These stories should be on Kindle unlimited, especially if they are going to be this short.

Lady Isabella Blankenship's entire world has been rocked. Her father is actually a billionaire whore dog which means she has 5 grown siblings to met and get to know. Add in an emergency kidney transplant from one of her new brothers and a gorgeous local doctor she can't seem to keep her eyes off. Dr. Bradley can't seem to stay away from Izzy, as her new sibs call her. BUT Izzy has some deep scars and baggage plus a royal secret that only complicates matters. I'm so SAD this is the last Ponderosa book. I've been a huge fan since Santa Studmuffin.

Romcom not so much but a great read

As a daughter of someone who had a kidney transplant I found this to be factual. My dad had a transplant for almost 30 years. I did enjoy the characters in this book. And who does not love a royal princess. I think maybe I took it too seriously for it to be a romcom. Maybe Kevin the pig was supposed to bring the humor. To which he did. Btw my daughter wants a pig named Kevin! I found this to be a sweet read with a princess theme. She is a new to me author so I will definitely dig into more of her books!

The perfect ending to this series! I'm so sad to see this series end, although another series is already in the works. I've enjoyed getting to know all the characters and Izzy is quite possibly my favorite. This story has romance, comedy and a little bit of mystery - something for everyone! You never know what you are getting into with the Bracelyn siblings. However, what we do know is that they always have each other's backs. They are one big happy family...down to the "newest" member, Lady Isabella. I loved how Americanized she became with her love of corn dogs, cotton candy, and Kevin the pig. She and Dr. Bradley just seemed to fit. I loved how easy their relationship seemed to be. Of course there is always something happening to shake things up.
