Author, screenwriter, philanthropist, journalist, and broadcaster Mitch Albom is an inspiration around the world. His fiction and non-fiction books — which include 8 #1 New York Times bestsellers — have collectively sold 42 million copies worldwide in 48 languages. TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, the bestselling memoir of all time, topped the list for four straight years and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022. He has also written Emmy Award-winning TV films, stage plays, screenplays, a nationally syndicated newspaper column, and a musical. Through his work at the Detroit Free Press, he was inducted into both the National Sports Media Association and Michigan Sports halls of fame and was the recipient of the Red Smith Award for lifetime achievement.

Following his bestselling memoir FINDING CHIKA and HUMAN TOUCH, a web and audio weekly serial that raised funds for pandemic relief, he returned to fiction with the bestselling novels THE STRANGER IN THE LIFEBOAT and THE LITTLE LIAR. His much-anticipated new novel is a stunning love story about magical second chances called TWICE, which dares to explore how our unchecked desires might mean losing what we’ve had all along.

Albom spends the majority of his time in philanthropic work. In 2006, he founded the nonprofit SAY Detroit, which provides pathways to success for Detroiters in need through major health, housing and education initiatives. All profits from an original dessert shop and a gourmet popcorn line also help fund the nonprofit. He operates Have Faith Haiti, a home and school for impoverished children and orphans, in Port-au-Prince, which he visits monthly. He lives with his wife, Janine, in Michigan.

Mitch Albom’s "Tuesdays with Morrie" is a poignant memoir that explores the lessons of life and death through the lens of a beloved professor, Morrie Schwartz. The narrative unfolds as Mitch reconnects with Morrie, battling ALS, during weekly visits that become a masterclass in living authentically. Albom's writing is both heartfelt and accessible, making complex themes of love, regret, and forgiveness resonate deeply with readers. The book emphasizes the importance of human connection and the wisdom that can be gleaned from facing mortality. It’s a reminder to cherish the moments we often take for granted. This book is not just a story; it's a guide to living a meaningful life, making it a must-read for anyone seeking inspiration and reflection on their journey.

In "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," Mitch Albom crafts a beautifully imaginative narrative that explores the interconnectedness of lives and the impact of our actions. The story follows Eddie, an amusement park maintenance man who, after dying in a tragic accident, meets five individuals in the afterlife who reveal the significance of his life experiences. This book encourages readers to consider their own lives and the legacy they leave behind, making it a thought-provoking read for anyone seeking to understand the deeper meaning of existence.

Tuesday’s with Morrie’s heartfelt memoir chronicles the final months of Morrie Schwartz, a beloved college professor, who is slowly dying from ALS. Be warned… the last few pages are brutal. The story unfolds through a series of Tuesday visits between Morrie and his former student, Mitch Albom, who comes to reconnect with his old mentor after years of pursuing a busy, material-driven life. Each meeting becomes a lesson in living, love, work, forgiveness, and, ultimately, death.

The writing style is simple, conversational, and deeply personal—almost as if the reader is sitting in the room listening to the two men talk. Albom captures the essence of Morrie’s wisdom with warmth and sincerity, using clear, emotive language that makes the story accessible yet profoundly moving.

I was especially touched by the close bond between Morrie, affectionately called the coach, and Mitch, the player. Their evolving relationship, filled with humour, honesty, and compassion, makes the book a powerful reflection on the meaning of life and the inevitability of loss. Morrie’s gradual decline from ALS is heart-wrenching, yet the story is filled with hope and dignity, reminding us to cherish the time and people we have.

Tuesdays with Morrie & The Five People You Meet in Heaven were great read by Mitch Albom. This was an amazing story about second chances and friendship. The second chance to learn from a mentor and a friendship that mentor can offer you. I loved this book and I loved what it stood for. It was a book of love, friendship , chances and hope. This was a great read everyone should read. The Five People You Meet in Heaven was a great read by Mitch Albom. Eddie, a wounded war veteran, believes that he has lived an uninspired life. He works at a seaside amusement park fixing rides. He has a tragic accident while trying to save a little girl from a falling cart on his 83rd birthday. He wakes up in the afterlife and learns that heaven is a place where your life is explained to you by five people. Some of these people you knew and others may be strangers. These five people revisit their connections to him on earth and show him just how meaningful his life truly is. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

As soon as you finished this book you will find the Truth of lives. You will feel that life is so short and the value of goods that you have done in the past will get you through the crisis moment. If you have good memories with your old friend or other, that memories will cheer you up on your final moments.

The book was like to conversation about the Teacher and Student that become a good friend to each other but after graduation, they split apart. Suddenly the student received the news that his Teacher got a Cancer or Leukemia (I'm not sure) that made him go back to visit his Teacher and promise to visit him every Tuesday, That why it's called "Tuesday People"

The reason I review 3 stars because I think I more like the principle of being a good person book. I know it good but it just that nothing fancy or excitement or Climax of the story. The story just goes on and goes on until the last page.

I remember enjoying Tuesdays with morrie deeply when I read it during school. It moved me knowing that it was a real person and living and dying like that is possible. Five people you meet in heaven was beautiful too I think, but not as memorable for me.

Nice point of view of afterlife, and how each person have to figure out their purpose in life and understand their journey and at last attain peace in the gardens of heavens.
