She is my perfect melody, too young and pure for my wild Texas rockstar ways… and I’m about to shatter her gilded cage. Eli Saint Clair
They call me a country music legend. Maybe that’s true. But when I’m not making music, I let booze and countless faceless women dull the pain that continues to haunt me.
Scarlet was never meant to intersect my rockstar lifestyle. I didn’t know who she golf prodigy, social media darling, and heir to a political dynasty.
When I lock eyes with this graceful beauty singing my songs during a concert, Her joyful spirit draws me like an irresistible melody, harmonizing with my inner chaos.
As my rough hands caress her silken curves, Her velvet heat remakes my world.
I play her body like my sweetest instrument. We create our own symphony of ecstasy, melodies I want to play forever.
But fate plays a cruel game on our dreams of forever.
A surprise pregnancy casts an ominous shadow.
Scarlet’s weak heart is a ticking time bomb, faltering under the strain of our baby. Leaving me shattered at the prospect of losing her forever.
If you are looking for a steamy rock star book this is the book for you. The older country rocker was hiding his pain in the music lifestyle with booze and women. Scarlet was just the opposite but that didn’t stop their connection becoming front and center with a crazy steamy romance. I was rooting for this couple to get their HEA.
I loved their storyline and now I can’t wait to read more from this author.
Eli Saint Clair is an older country star who meets a younger Scarlet at a charity event. Their lives are so different it's hard to image them together at first. Scarlet has been sheltered all her life because of health problems so Eli helps her to spread her wings and experience life and she helps him to start thinking about more than just the party life. Their is a lot of heat between these two but also a great story about finding what you want in life when you least expect it.
ARC Reader. This was a really good read. Held my attention. Keep me locked in through it all. It had scenes that confused me just with who was talking to who and some scenes I personally didn’t care for but that’s my personal preference. Overall great read!
Eli & Scarlett are opposites in every way. When their paths crossed, they found themselves wrapped up in each other quickly.
I found myself with an uneasy feeling while reading their story and honestly did not know how it would end! Just when I thought we were not getting beneath surface level, I was proven wrong..mostly. Although I do wish there was a little more character development, I enjoyed the story!
Fair warning: There is a lot of sexy-time in the book. So if that's not your cup of tea, this may not be the book for you. But I loved it!.

Honestly at the beginning of the book, I just couldn't get my groove going to keep reading but then it happened. The Age Gap, the Different Lifestyles and People for and against them and the Love they shared just caught up to me. The love Eli and Scarlet had for each other just kept me turning pages and rooting for them and praying for a happy outcome.

The way Eli and Scarlett meet is a dream scenario – many girls have imagined themselves in a similar situation. But what starts out as an unforgettable one-night stand slowly turns into something deeper and more meaningful.
Scarlett has carried the stigma of fragility all her life, having been born with a heart condition. Her parents were always protective of her, but she didn't want to live as a patient, so she often hid her condition from friends and people she met. Her life was further complicated by her father's political career, which put her every move in the spotlight. When Eli, the famous rock star, enters her life, her parents are obviously against the relationship, as the media attention, the age difference and the different political views have all caused them concern.
The story is full of erotica, but there are plenty of touching moments alongside the passionate scenes. Eli and Scarlett's relationship is much more than mere lust – it is a meeting of minds that rarely happens in life. Ava Becker skilfully collides the two protagonists' different worlds: the spotlight from both politics and the music industry affects their relationship.
Although none of the main protagonists' characters were close to me, and I found many of their decisions difficult to accept, I tried to follow their story without judgement. Eli's typical rock star self-absorption was often disturbing to me – at first he was focused only on himself, but as Scarlett became more important to him, this gradually changed.
The chapters written from Eli's point of view had some particularly enjoyable moments, as the writer accurately portrayed the concert experience – but not from the view of the audience, but from the performer's side, from behind the scenes. This aspect is one of the strengths of the book, similar to Kristen Callihan's novel "Idol".
The story is not without flaws. There were situations that didn't feel realistic, such as when Eli – a world-famous musician – easily gives his number to Scarlett after a single meeting. There were also some inconsistencies, for example Scarlett does not tell Eli why she does not drink alcohol, yet when her heart problems are worsened by her pregnancy, Eli seems to be aware of it. This left me a little confused, as if an important scene had been missed.
Overall, however, the book is an enjoyable, passionate and emotional read that gives an insight into a fascinating world. It is not perfect, but for those who like steamy romantic stories with music and drama, it is definitely worth a read.
Juicy Surprises in this one! What a fantastic love story! I enjoyed so many aspects of this book. First of all, it was so much fun to read about Eli's life as a country star and his life on the road. The way Eli and Scarlett met was something I'm sure many girls have fantasized about at some point in their lives. Scarlett is dealing with parents who have always been concerned about her health as she was born with a heart defect and her life was always centered around her being "fragile" and she hated that. She just wanted to live her life, so she often didn't tell people about her heart condition right away. She didn't want to be treated differently. Scarlett's parents are also very difficult people mostly because their lives were always in the spotlight with her father being a well-known figure in Washington politics, and they weren't keen on the idea of Scarlett being involved with a person like Eli. They didn't think he was the right kind of guy for her because of how he's been portrayed in the media, their age difference, and how different they are politically. I was quite surprised by something that happened at a party Eli had at his ranch... it was unexpected as I've not seen that in Ava's books until now; however, with that said, it was pretty fascinating to read and quite hot actually. I like to be surprised. It may not be for everyone but even if it's something one may not partake in themselves, it's still so fun to read! Eli is able to confide in Scarlett something that he's never been able to talk about with anyone before and it's very touching...another notable moment that proves they are great for one another. She is able to help him start to heal from such a tragic childhood experience that he's never been able to move on from before. This story is filled with wonderful moments, exciting moments, and challenging moments, and is told so perfectly. As often as I was able to sit down and read, the pages kept on turning.

This review is going to be so confusing and contradicting, because that's how I felt reading it. There's bad AND good things to say with this book, and this is gonna be long.
There were good things that kept me invested. Their romance and love felt real, and it worked even though they were from two different worlds. I liked Scarlett's parents and the cross between their political fame and his music fame. They were all well known but in completely different worlds, and I think the author crossed those worlds well. I also really liked Logan, Eli's best friend. He was serious often as that's his job, but he's a lot of fun too.
The first few chapters were not the best. They made eye contact while he was performing, met after, and almost immediately ran off into THE WOODS? Am I reading a book about a serial killer? Then, after a one night stand, Eli, a super famous singer, gave his phone number to Scarlett, this random girl half his age. For all he knows, she was some groupie who could have posted it online? I realize this is fiction, but I also want my fiction to be somewhat believable.
A lot of the dialogue felt very unrealistic. Just one small example that stands out is when she shows up at his house after days of not seeing eachother, and he says, "Hey there." It doesn't feel like something someone would say. That's minor, but there were a lot of examples like that.
Then there were some plot holes. She doesn't tell him why she doesn’t really drink, and she states she doesn’t like people to know about her heart condition because they see her differently. Then when she gets pregnant and has a heart attack, Eli seemed to have known about her condition, but she never told him on page so I was left feeling like I missed something.
I read a lot of spice, but I really didn't like SOME of the spice in this book. The terms used in some parts were quite cringy, and some parts were um, unhygienic. I was also NOT expecting a foursome, as there were no hints that they were curious about that and no lead up or build up to that happening. It wasn't a bad scene though, and it wasn't too long, it just came out of nowhere.
But, I will say that some of the spicy scenes were great. It was just a handful that I didn’t care for.
Lastly, I don't want to spoil anything big but toward the very end, there's a part where they aren't sure she's going to make it. They're basically saying their goodbyes, and I FELT the emotion, and I actually cried. Good writing does that. But there is an HEA so all is good!
Overall it was a good book. They connected well and really adored each other.
I was not familiar with this author before reading her book, so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was a great book. I loved it! A lot of romance novels have so much fluff in them they should be a short story at best, but not here. Rather than praying for the book to end, I couldn't wait to see what was in the next chapter. This book had plenty of substance from start to finish and a few twists and turns as well. And spice? The spice level was ghost pepper or Carolina reaper hottttt! I've gotta' say the spicey scenes in this book were the best I've ever read anywhere. Some authors tip toe around some things I consider to be pretty mainstream, like anal. Not Ava. She hits it out of the park from the very first chapter. There's no reading half or three quarters of the way through the book to get a little sex or even a kiss. No, no, no -- literally like 3 percent into the book we get started. I will admit that I was a bit worried to find that the heroin's family were a bunch of east coast establishment democrats, meaning I don't like politics in these kinds of books, but these were Joe Lieberman/JFK democrats, the kind that don't exist anymore, and there really weren't any politics involved, so there was no impact to the story. Given what an ass the girl's father was, at least initially, I'm glad they were portrayed as democrats LOL. This book was so good I'm going to have to read all of the author's body of work. I don't go much for the silly billionaire stuff, but I'll make an exception in Ava's case.

What do you get when the golf prodigy, social media darling, and heir to a political dynasty has a hot random hookup with the Texan country superstar bad boy? This absolute banger by Ava Becker
Eli Saint Clair is a reformed bad boy at its finest! This was my first rockstar romance and I devoured it! We watch Eli and Scarlet meet and fall in love. The way that their characters developed and grow through the book was so good! I loved watching Eli morph from a bad boy country rocker and into his relationship with Scarlett. The way that they fall for each other and show that age really is just a number will have you Kicking your feet with excitement throughout the entire book! When I say this is a sweet love story do not let that fool you, the spice in this book is top notch. With unexpected scenes and surprises you won’t be able to put this one down. The karaoke scene and a certain steamy moment with two certain friends are sure to live rent free in your mind!.

It’s not like I didn’t enjoy this book, but it took me a while to enjoy it. I don’t mind age gap romances, but this one seemed a bit forced. The first part of the book was Eli and Scarlett meeting, having a lot of sex, continuing to have a lot of sex, a random foursome, and more sex. It was a lot of spice in the first part of the book. The second part of the book is where I started to enjoy the storyline. The characters became deeper, life started to show, the relationship grew past just sex and partying. Eli and Scarlett’s relationship became more realistic and they worked through real couple problems. We get to see how her parents handle the news, how they grow to understand them together. Eli makes a great sacrifice for Scarlett and the story ends on a high note. Ava did write a good book, just took me a lot longer than normal to get into it. I think it really was all the spice in the beginning of the book before character development had really happened. I don’t mind spice at all, but the book needs more than just that. I am glad I finished it and got to see her writing truly shine though.
As always, review trigger warnings before reading

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Scarlet and Eli. Scarlet is the daughter of a famous political figure in Washington and was born with a heart condition. Eli is a famous country rock star. When they meet at a fundraiser where Eli performs, there is an instant connection. Scarlet is a young college student who is trying to become a professional golfer. The night they met, Scarlet decides to have sex with Eli, thinking it would be a one time thing. Eli can't stop thinking about Scarlet and decides he wants to see her again, so he invites her to join him at some of his shows. They start seeing each other, but there is a huge age difference and Scarlet has her own dreams, as well as her health issue. Eli also us trying to plan a tour and has his own demons to deal with. I enjoyed this book. I think Scarlet and Eli had a string connection and were good for each other. I liked how mature Scarlet was and how she finally stood up for herself and wanted to live her life not being afraid. Eli needed to come to terms with his past and i think Scarlet helped him heal and move on. Good one.
This is the first book in the Rockstar Love series, featuring country superstar Eli Saint Clair and yet another Stanford University student, Scarlett Montgomery. The author seems obsessed with Stanford University as all of her prior books have featured a FMC who is attending Stanford. Scarlett is from a prominent Bostonian family. She has had a congenital heart condition her entire life and has been coddled by her parents and friends. Her father is a famous Democrat lobbyist. She is 21 and a junior in college. Scarlett attends a charity concert that features Eli Saint Clair, a 43 year old country music star who lives the rock life of alcohol and women. He sees her in the audience, approaches her after the show and they hook up. They connect and have a whirlwind romance. The story turns serious and heartwarming as she becomes more confident and he calms down and becomes a living partner. This is the author's best books to date and I am reading them chronologically by publication date.
A young woman from an influential political family has a chance meeting with an older, famous country rocker. Her sweetness calms his life of turmoil. It’s an engaging book with many hot, tender scenes. Scarlett and Eli don’t have an easy path to love. What I love is that they were pretty fearless in knowing what they wanted. Fear comes later when Scarlett’s health is on the line.
I’m a sucker for a good rockstar romance. I loved that Scarlett’s friend Austin was not taken in by Eli’s fame, but was very protective of her. I was hoping Scarlett was a bit older than 21 though. That’s a very young age to know what you want. The story was a little perturbing to me because my sister had two heart transplants and it struck close to home. I savored the love story and passion of the book.

Wow just wow! I think the title says it all bc I was ROCKED by Eli's and Scarlet's story and was not what I expected. The country rock star with his ugly past and the lifestyle his status brings, finds solace and his quite place in the face of the sweet warm Scarlet. Two very different worlds and backgrounds find common ground in their love. A story with a lot of hot and sexy yet heartwarming scenes, twists and turns, obstacles, the chemistry, the attraction, their love that conquers everything, the tenderness, the confidence....it's a roller coaster and it's worth reading. A real page turner and by the end of the book I hope you'll feel the fullfelment and completeness I felt.

Eli is a hot country star. Scarlet is a young woman who is a fan of Eli. He sees her at one of his concerts and he is mesmerized. He feels a connection, he needs to meet her. Scarlet has a serious health issue, but she refuses to let it rule her life. She wants to enjoy herself. She doesn't want to be defined by anything other than herself. Who she is. Eli and Scarlet get closer, which is an issue with Scarlet's parents. They're not happy about what they've heard about Eli's lifestyle and the age gap. Will the parents be able to deter Scarlet's growing feeling for Eli? What will Eli do to keep this special young woman in his life? This is a amazing story with so many elements. So much emotion and chemistry. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and this author.
I'm giving this 4.5 stars. When Eli and Scarlett met the attraction was there and you thought this may be a one night stand. As these two continue to see each other their connection grows but you're still not sure if it will go any further. It is obvious that the connection between them grows , but I'll be honest it took some time into the book before I thought they had more than just a very steamy, sexy relationship. There is an HEA. There are a lot of sexy steamy scenes, so if that's not your thing you may be skipping big portions of the book. My reason for not giving it 5 stars was a would have really liked more character development. We git some toward the end of the book, but I wanted more.
Scarlett led a very sheltered life until she went to college, she picked a school across the map from her overprotective parents. It’s not like she was acting like girls gone while or anything. But she wanted more, she wanted to cut loose. When she needs Eli at a benefit concert he walks up to meet her and it’s on, they barely had a conversation and they were having sex. In the following weeks she flys out to see him in concert. Eli is forty-five years old and Scarlett is twenty-one and her giggles were getting on my nerves. Afterwords she invites her friends to his party where she gets up close and intimate with them. This was unexpected and unromantic. This relationship has twists and turns, will definitely keep you reading. I’m giving this book four stars and recommend it.
The meet-cute between Eli and the heroine made me cringe a bit. Then immediately, Eli takes her to an abandoned villa on the mansion's property to have sex, and she follows... I also didn't like how his first intention was to have sex with her after finding out her name and barely anything else about her.
No shame for people who immediately have sex after meeting each other, but it didn't seem realistic. Eli seemed the type, but the heroine didn't, even though she wasn't a virgin.
The conversations between Eli and the heroine seemed so stilted as well. Eli thought she was being clever, but I didn't.
I might try again to read this book later, but I feel a bit overwhelmed with the number of library books I have out.
OMG 😱 this was a great book. It was a steamy hot page turner and the suspense was WOW! I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. It was addicted and you be hooked on this roller coaster ride between Eli & Scarlett. This physical and chemistry attraction was sizzling and spicy as they were so intrigued with each other and my be falling loved with each other. Absolutely loved reading this story and it was mind blowing of pleasure and romance. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. This is an age gap romance between college student Scarlett and country music legend Eli. These flawed but likeable characters and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a love story with enough drama, steam, sweetness, frustrating moments, family dynamic, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Entertaining.

This book hasn't kept me on edge the whole time. Until like 60%, there didn't happen much except for the very spicy scenes. It's definitely a fast burn. The end of the book got me captivated. I personally would have liked a little less mellow in the beginning.

Eli and Scarlet will grab your attention right at the beginning and take you on an emotional roller coaster. Drawn to each other like moths to a flame, their chemistry is off the charts. Rocked by Eli was an enjoyable read with likeable characters. The storyline was interesting and keeping me engaged and not wanting to put the book down.
The character development was nice to see and how they evolved as a couple, devoted to each other. They had some tough decisions to make but they both stuck by each other regardless of whether they agreed.
The book is well written but there are points where the book seems to jump in time when i would liked to have known more from how the previous chapter ended.
The blurb has Country Singing Star , Eli, describing Scarlet as "too young and pure for his wild Texas rock star ways." Scarlet is 21. Eli is twice her age. Yet on page 91, Scarlet is on her way upstairs to participate in a four way. Really??? Girlfriend sounds old enough to me!!!!
I only chose this book because she gets pregnant and she could die because of her heart problems. Guess I'll never know!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a book where I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out how Scarlet and Eli's journey unfolded. Despite the age difference there was chemistry and attraction between them and how they interacted and the love they had was wonderful. And they didn't care if people didn't like it because of the age difference. Highly recommended.

This age-gap, rockstar romance was thoroughly entertaining and hot. Scarlet and Eli connected on a deep, emotional level as soon as they looked into each other's eyes. Complications throw a wrench into their growing relationship that could cost them everything. Rooting for these two to be together in the end was a no brainer and it was fantastic.

I think I was kind of simple but not really at the same time, I have so many emotions towards this book. One the it was fun to read, two that it made me laugh from time to time and the last one was that it made me feel happy at the end so that’s at ten out of ten, it’s just what I always look forward to feel in every book.

Scarlett and Eli are an unlikely pair. Scarlett was born with a heart defect and she is fighter for a fulling life. I loved her determination and resourcefulness. Eli is living the rockstar lifestyle but he isn’t happy. The way they meet is the stuff fairytales are made of. The details of their journey is touching, heartbreaking yet hopeful. This book took me on an emotional merry-go-round.
