I've had this Luke commentary for years and used it here and there in my preaching. The commentary is a good analysis of Luke as literature though it doesn't give a compelling thematic discussion easy for use in preaching. In other words, a workhorse I consult but rarely quote.

I always consult Talbert on Luke and usually find something of value in terms of themes and argument.
