Inspiring!

If you've struggled with weight-loss your whole life and, like me, realized your ideal body shape isn't the magical key to happiness, this book is for you! Tami Muller's journey spoke straight to my heart. It's not another diet book; it's a witty, honest, and surprisingly comforting look at how we can obsess over things that don't truly bring us joy.

I loved that this wasn't preachy. Tami shares her own struggles with vulnerability and humor, making her feel like a friend. Her stories about diet mishaps and encounters with questionable "gurus" made me laugh out loud in recognition. The simple insights, inspired by her background in positive psychology, are things I'll actually stick with.

What hit home for me was the idea of my own "20 pounds" – those things we think hold us back from happiness. Whether it's weight, a different job, or something else, this book helps you change your mindset. Don't expect a magic solution, but DO expect a supportive guide to shifting your perspective and finding your happy place, whatever size you are.

Highly recommended for anyone ready to stop chasing an illusion and start embracing the good life RIGHT NOW.

Being in my 60’s I can SO relate to this book, seeing my thoughts of “body” perfection being an unattainable target throughout my teen and adult years. This is more than a book about weight, it’s a book about finding yourself and what makes you, you. It’s about finding peace and joy with who you were created to be rather than an “image” of perfection that is never quite attainable. The questions posed at the end of each chapter are thought provoking and had me looking within myself to see what I truly see and value. There are great suggestions, recipes, and an overall ways that we can enrich our lives that have nothing to do with the way we look or our “ideal” weight.
