Legacy: Resurrection

Rate this book
In “ Resurrection,” the third installment of this gripping saga, a dark dawn rises over the world as Lazarus Caius Crassus attains unprecedented power, pushing the storied house of Aurelius into irrelevance. With the balance of Legacy teetering on the brink, fear and despair ripple through every echelon of society, heralding an era of subjugation and tyranny.

Yet, even as the walls close in, a glimmer of hope pierces the enveloping darkness. A latent force stirs, hinting at a resistance that could either illuminate a path to freedom or prove to be an illusory flicker in an inescapable night.

As the fabric of Legacy trembles under the weight of Lazarus’s ambition, the old adage looms ever Heavy is the head that wears the crown. The fate of countless lives, the essence of Legacy, and the future itself dangle perilously in the balance.

In this climactic chapter, allies and enemies will be revealed, allegiances will be tested, and the cataclysmic War of Echoes will reshape the world as we know it. Amidst the chaos, one question lingers—will the emergent light prove strong enough to dispel the darkness, or will it merely be a fleeting illusion in a world spiraling into irreversible ruin?

About the author

J. Leonard Costner

4 books32 followers
Born in America but shaped by Europe, J Leonard Costner’s life has been as varied and vibrant as the characters in his novels. An artist by trade and a former athlete, Costner infuses his unique experiences and perspectives into every page he writes.

Raised across the grand tapestry of Europe, Costner grew up amidst an array of cultures, languages, and histories that would later breathe life into his stories. His upbringing gave him an appreciation for the rich complexities of people and places—an appreciation that shines through in his work.

Transitioning from a celebrated career in sports, Costner found his next calling in 2012: storytelling. His debut series, "Legacy", is a testament to his boundless creativity. Intricately weaving history with fantasy, and reality with myth, Costner’s works are as much a vivid painting as they are compelling narratives. His words aren’t just read; they are experienced. Each chapter, a stroke of paint on a grand canvas.

Costner’s writing style is as unique as his life journey. With an academic background in art, he writes to illustrate—each sentence crafted not just to tell a story, but to show it. He shapes each scene with the meticulous care of a painter, choosing his words with the precision of a brushstroke.

In "Legacy", and in all of his works, Costner invites readers not just into a story, but into a world. A world that is at once enchanting and believable, vast in scope but intimate in emotion.

Today, J Leonard Costner continues to write, each new work a labor of love, a new landscape painted with words. He is not just an author, but an artist of narrative, a craftsman of worlds, and a guide for readers looking for an adventure that defies the ordinary.

A fitting conclusion

Like the previous two books, this one is concisely written and has a fast pace. It's a little predictable but that didn't stop my enjoyment of it. This is a series you should definitely start at the beginning with if you're planning on reading it. That said, I highly recommend this series.
