Its you and me forever, Seeley Whiskey. I'll never let you go."
First Impressions Love Lies and Whiskey is the latest release in the "Dark Knights" series and this is where we get Doc's book. I have been wanting Doc's book from the very beginning. He is the one siblings I have had the most fascination over. He has had the aura of bad boy, mystery, and tortured soul out of them all. And to finally get his book, had me more excited more than anything else this year. Love, Lies and Whiskey is a story that I guarantee that you are NOT ready for. Get your box of tissues ready and open your heart for Doc and Juliette who will melt your heart with every beat of heart of this story.
After sixteen years of missing her, his sweet, fiery Jule was right there in his arms, and he was never letting her go...
First Line The rumble and road of Seeley "Doc" Whiskey's motorcycle drowned out by the cheering crowd as he and a convoy of the other members of the Dark Knights motorcycle club drove into the parking lot of Hope Valley Hospital.
The Main Protagonists The Hero: Seeley "Doc" The Heroine: Juliette Chambers
Summary Love, Lies and Whiskey is a story that showcases the deep damaged heart of Doc Whiskey and the girl he never stopped loving. Because as they say once a Whiskey gives his heart....its forever. Doc fell hard for the Governor's daughter, when she visited their ranch when she was sixteen. Their love was epic, adventurous and their hopes were full of stars in those beginning days. But then she was torn away from him, and both Doc and Juliette were betrayed. Now its been almost sixteen years, and Juliette is back in town, and the hurt is deep between them. But what is even deeper.....is that Doc is a father and his son is fifteen years old. The secrets of the past become revealed and Juliette and Doc realize their love and their lives were stolen from them and now they will have to do the work to rebuild the bridges and not just for their love which was never forgotten....but for their son who never had the father he deserved in Doc...
Its always been you, darlin'. You're the only person who could ever tear me to shreds or heal me in a single breath. The world was cold and gray without you. You are my light, my fucking heart...and you completely utterly own me.
What I Loved This book was perfection. But I think I say that about every single book in this series. Am I the only one that feels this way or is there something about this series that just HITS different? Because these books just dig deep in a way I never expect. Love Lies and Whiskey was a story that I breathed so deeply into. And from the beginning I knew this story would break me in all of the best of ways.
Its a story that digs deep into the heart and covers some issues that I love seeing being represented. And first off I want to say BRAVO to this incredible author who wrote a good honest secret baby that is WORTH reading. This is a trope that is so rarely written well....but Melissa Foster wrote it so brilliantly. My heart broke for both Doc and Juliette. Both of them were deceived and had to learn to move on without each other. But seeing the little glimpses of how despite the pain and heartbreak, they never forgot each other and kept each other alive even though there was reason for them to become hard and cynical. Seeing how they rose above it to become beautiful humans and deliver light and goodness to others....is just the cherry on top.
Tell me you're mine. We'll figure the rest out. Just tell me you're mine."
We do see some flashbacks in this one, but its not many of them. So no worries on that one there. I really loved how they were implemented because they were short and just showcases the sweet heart that is this couple. We see some angst in the beginning before the full truth is revealed. But once everything comes out, we get to see our couple "court" each other again and learning to reconnect. But then we have the relationship with their son that is built within the story. I truly became so endeared to the "family" element here especially in the moments where Doc and his son learn to connect with each other.
That wasn't the end of our story Darlin', We are just getting started...
The third act of the story was a hard time at times. This will really push at some boundaries (so I would recommend checking the trigger warnings for some of it. I honestly didn't expect this author to write this element if I am being honest. And that is probably why I fell so hard for this story in a way that just delivered so many more layers than even some of the other books in the series. You really see this family become tested in some of the worst ways you can be tested, but seeing their journey in rising above the challenges and becoming so unified as a family. And literally that scene with the MC standing in solidarity ....I BROKE!! Literally! I am not sure I can wait another year for the finale and I SO don't want this series to be over.
She was so damn tight, so insanely perfect and familar, he felt like he'd been lost, starved, and she was the only person who could satiate him. He felt like he'd finally come home.
What I Struggled With Nothing! LOL It was perfect in every way.
Narration Gorgeously done. It was well worth the wait for the release of it. Its why I took longer to read this, because I wanted to do it in audio. I loved this duo narration, they are one of the best pairings for a romance audiobook. They really tackled the emotional undertones just right. So if you love audiobooks....grab it from the author!!!
Overall View Love, Lies and Whiskey is a tale that tackles hidden secrets, riveting emotion to curl your toes and a love story that will make you want to soar across the wild skies of Redemption Ranch.

This story follows Juliette, who moves back to her hometown with her son, Lucas. It’s been sixteen years since she last saw Seeley, but everything comes rushing back when they face each other again—and everything stills when she reveals a massive secret.
I loved this second-chance romance. You could really feel the chemistry between them, especially as the past resurfaced and we learned how they lost each other. Now, as they try to find their way back, nothing has changed between them—except for all the time they’ve lost. I loved how Doc stepped up for his son and was willing to do anything for him, building a relationship without ever forcing it. Redemption Ranch is the perfect addition to the story and beautifully represents what they stand for as a family. I truly love all the characters in this series! An easy, beautiful heartfelt storyline.
I also highly recommend the audiobook—it was brilliant.

GAH, I have missed being inside a Melissa Foster story! I wish I could make all the time in the world for her stories because she gets me every single time! But I love romance fiction too much and there are so many great stories out there I just run out of space *sad face*!!
Anywho, about this story … talk about a tsunami of emotional upheaval in the most glorious of ways! Doc and Juliette have a long history full of bumps, rocky paths, betrayal, lies and so much more but above all of it, there is love, buried really deep, but love nonetheless. It’s surrounded by outside forces, both good and evil, and their journey, if I’m honest, is just one huge firestorm. At least that’s how I felt when I read it. This firestorm I’m referring to is not meant to be something negative, the opposite actually. But because every aspect and circumstance in their path held so much intensity, equating it to a firestorm seems appropriate! It was a glorious thing to read when they doused that fire and began to rebuild, but even as they rebuilt, sparks still remained, both good and bad, that could easily burn it all down once again.
I’m an emotional reader and when you add that to my life experience, most of the time, I can relate way too much to some stories. And even when I can’t relate on a personal level because it’s never “happened to me”, I’m smart enough to know when circumstances are being written respectfully and organically into a story. Melissa Foster is an absolute Queen when it comes to this. Whether she’s writing from personal experience or not, she makes sure her research is thorough, and her stories hold real-life circumstances realistically (for lack of a better term lol). I love her stories because she makes me feel like I’m a part of them with her prose and her “vibe”. I am never not in awe when I experience one of her stories!
I’m not even sure where to begin with this review—because Love, Lies, and Whiskey completely swept me off my feet. Melissa Foster has never once disappointed me, especially as a reader whose kryptonite is powerful, emotional romances that leave you breathless and aching in the best way. This story? It’s everything I crave and more.
Foster has a gift—not just for storytelling, but for immersing you so deeply into the worlds she creates that you feel like you’re living every single moment alongside her characters. And Doc and Juliette’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. Their romance is a soul-shaking first love, only love, second-chance masterpiece that had me reaching for tissues more than once.
After sixteen years apart, Doc and Juliette come face to face again—not as the young teens who once shared their hearts, but as adults shaped by heartache, betrayal, and the secrets of the past. The devastating truth that Juliette’s father kept them apart—robbing Seeley “Doc” Whiskey of the chance to know his son—is heart-wrenching. Watching that truth unfold, and the emotional consequences that ripple through not only Doc and Juliette but their families as well, is raw and unforgettable.
What I loved most? The way Foster brings in the unshakeable love and strength of the Whiskey family. The way they rally around each other. The way Doc and his son slowly begin to build something beautiful, a bond that’s fragile at first, then fiercely strong. And just when you think your heart can’t take anymore—Foster throws in a twist so gut-wrenching and unexpected, I literally had to pause and catch my breath.
And let’s talk about that revenge. Sweet, justified, fist-pumping satisfaction. The downfall of Juliette’s father? I was living for it.
This book has everything: emotional depth, unforgettable characters, beautifully earned healing, and a love story that proves real love never fades—it just waits. No third-act breakup. No overdone drama. Just honest, aching, powerful love.
Love, Lies, and Whiskey is yet another Melissa Foster masterpiece. Doc and Juliette’s journey back to each other is one I won’t forget anytime soon—and if you’re a sucker for second chances and love that never dies, this one is a must-read.
Love Lies, and Whiskey is my first book from Melissa Foster and the 4th book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. I was immediately impressed with this world she created with this group of bikers who also have a ranch where they rescued horses. As a horse girlie, I am a sucker for this. This book was also such a beautiful and emotional second chance romance.
Seeley “Doc” Whiskey had fallen in love with the governor's daughter when they were teens, but things ended because of outside forces and a miscommunication. Juliette has returned 16 years later with her teenage son Lucas, and they immediately clash. Especially when Seeley gets the shock of his life when he learns Lucas is his son. I loved how quickly they worked through their past and learned the truth about what her father did to split them up. Seeley steps up and really works hard to build a relationship with Lucas.
Seeley and Juliette had such a strong and beautiful connection that never went away. They were able to get over their past and jump into rebuilding their relationship. The found family was perfection and how the Whiskey's stepped up to support them, especially with a scary health scare that happens later in the story.
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧 This audiobook has dual narration by Aiden Snow and Erin Mallon. Aiden Snow is one of the best at voicing a sexy cowboy. He brought so much strength and emotion to his performance. Erin Mallon was also phenomenal, especially in the emotional scenes with her son.

The love, the family, the beauty of it all, I thought it couldn't possibly get any better, but as the series has continued, Melissa has proven me wrong time and time again.
I stared the arc for this gorgeous romance immediately, and I didn't stop until the last page had been greedily consumed. This story broke me in the most exquisite way. I have read a lot of Melissa's books and this love story, I think this is her best yet.
I'm not going to give you 𝐀𝐍𝐘 hints as to what happens because I truly believe anything other than experiencing this magnificent romance yourself would be doing it and you a disservice. But trust me when I tell you, this is one love story you will not want to miss. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to Must Love Audio and Lyric Audiobook for this ALC. Enjoyed this audiobook. Starts off with young love, and a heartbreaking forced breakup.. unbeknownst to FMC & MMC the breakup was orchestrated and manipulated by the FMCs father. Fast forward 15 years and *surprise* the MMC finds out he has a son.. a teenager. Not only are we dealing with the second chance, and a single mom- but a moody teenager that says a whole lot of ‘whatevers’.
The narration is always top tier with Aiden Snow. This is a first for me with Erin. She had a soft tone, not much projection in her voice and would drawl on the last consonants (ie,. Falllll, propertyyyyyy) at the end of her chapters. *this is the only thing that stood out to me with the narration* I think it was for a dramatic conclusion before the next chapter?? 🤷♀️
The found family is always a favourite. Love a cowboy romance with the added suspense of the secrets and lies in the end!
🤎 Cowboy/ranch romance 🤎 second chance 🤎 single mom 🤎 always been you 🤎 found family 🤎 secrets and lies 🤎 German shepherd hero
📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

---
Melissa has to pay my therapist after this book: emotional, romantic, raw...this book has it all and left me without tears.
I'm not a fan of second chances, but I trust the author's writing and I'm glad I did because it certainly left a big mark on me. Doc and Juliette have a past, 16 years ago they were a couple, Juliette's father (the villain of this story) separated them and made them resent each other. Time passes and they meet again and Juliette tells him that they have a son together, Lucas, a beautiful teenager who, as the author describes him, has an old soul. The journey is raw, emotional, I was crying almost from the first pages and by the end it was a sea of tears and feelings for these three.
All the pain they had to go through made me think and think a lot. The Whiskey family is one of those fictional families that you wish were real just to be a part of, I laughed at their jokes but I fell in love with each of them for all the support they showed Doc, Juliette and especially Lucas.
The ending was beautiful, everything I needed and more, just reading this family again is a pleasure and I can't wait for the others.
OMG. This story! This is a sweeping, emotional saga beautifully told in 451 pages. This is the fifth book in the The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series, and was the first one of the series that I’ve read. But all of the other books in the series and the various spinoffs are being added to my TBR right now!
This story follows MMC Seely “Doc” Whiskey and FMC Juliette Chambers. Juliette and Doc had a hot and steamy teenage romance and were torn apart by Juliette’s nefarious parents. Juliette’s grandmother who lived in a nearby town was her rock and safe place and supported Juliette and Doc’s relationship. Now 15 years have passed and Juliette is back in the area and has inherited her grandma’s ranch. But she’s not alone she’s got her 15 year old son, Lucas, with her. It doesn’t take long at all for Juliette and Doc to run into one another and for the reality of Lucas’ parentage to come out, as well as ALL the other secrets from that one summer and the aftermath. Juliette and Doc’s flame for each other has never died and they basically pick up where they left off because neither has moved on. The way they handled telling Lucas the truth of their relationship and that Doc was his biological father was wonderful and Lucas’ teenage reactions felt normal and natural. I loved that in this story all of the characters talked about their honest thoughts and feelings No one played “hide the ball” and their conversations and interactions felt natural and normal. The blood and found family was also amazing, and again, the support provided to Juliette and Doc when a potentially devastating health diagnosis happens for Lucas was beautifully written. As was the support Juliette and Doc provided to each other.
I just can’t say enough good things about this book. I’m not normally a huge secret baby trope fan, but this one was done perfectly and I was rooting for Juliette and Doc and their second chance romance! The characters, plot, and romance were all 5 stars!
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. In Love, Lies and Whiskey, Melissa Foster delivers to her readers and emotionally driven small town romance. One where the hero and heroine gets a second chance at love.
Love, Lies and Whiskey is the fifth book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch. This installment gives us Seely "Doc" Whiskey and Juliette Chambers story.
Doc and Juliette became romantically involved in their teen years. Their romance burned hot and they had plans for a future together. However, her controlling father tore them apart. Fast forward fifteen years Juliette returned to Colorado to claim he inheritance. However, she's not alone, her fifteen years old son Lucas is in tow. Doc was not happy to see her but when he learns who Lucas is to him, he needed answers. Getting the answers meant looking past the pain and hurt of the past fifteen years.
This story will grab you by the throat and wreak havoc on your emotions. Doc and Juliette went through a lot of hurt and pain all which was due to the actions of a manipulative parent. The lies fed to them both led to Doc missing out on the joys of parenthood.
It was interesting to see that despite the years apart their love for each other still burned hot. Revelations of the truth broke through the barriers built around their hearts and soon they found their way back to each other.
Family, friendship and love was at the heart of the story, and this made for a heartwarming read. While I am not a fan of the secret baby trope, I loved the way Foster handled it.
While the pacing was fine, I felt the issue with Juliette's father could have been dealt with much sooner. Waiting to almost end of the story left the whole situation feeling rushed and underwhelming. Despite this I enjoyed Love, Lies and Whiskey and look forward to what Foster has in store for her readers. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
This one really tugged at the heartstrings! It had all my favorite things - second chance, big family dynamics, ranch life, and plot twists. I love returning to Redemption Ranch and this whole world Melissa has created. Seeley and Juliette were fantastic characters, I love their story and following along as they made their way back to each other.
The audiobook is read by Aiden Snow and Erin Mallon, and they both captured the personalities, emotions, and chemistry of all of the characters in the best ways! Produced by Lyric Audiobooks

5 Star Review Love, Lies, and Whiskey: Doc Whiskey (The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch #4) by Melissa Foster
This is one of my favourite series from Melissa Foster, and I couldn’t wait to read Seeley “Doc” Whiskey and Juliette Chambers’ second chance at love story.
This was a wonderful addition to the series. From the first paragraph I was riveted to the story that Ms. Foster wove; I just love my visits to Redemption Ranch, Hope Ridge, Colorado.
The love of family (both blood and found) shines throughout this book. Both Doc and Juliette were badly burnt years ago and since then they haven’t let anyone in. Now a single mum, Juliette has returned to Colorado and the last person she expects to re connect with is Doc.
What follows is an extremely emotional, heartwarming story that will rip you apart then put you back together.
Once I started this book, I read well into the night as I had to see what happened.
We all know that I have had the same book boyfriend since 2021, Tank Wicked from The Wicked Aftermath , but if there is anyone that has come sooooo close to knocking Tank out of that #1 spot, it's Seeley “Doc” Whiskey. Oh, man, I was not prepared for all the emotions I felt while reading this.
Doc has always been a bit mysterious in the prior books, but now I understand him on a level that is all encompassing. He had fallen in LOVE at the age of nineteen and had it ripped away from him; he was led to believe LIES that weren't true, and it destroyed him. But all of that is about to change...
Juliette Chambers has returned to Colorado after her grandmother's death, when she inherited her house. She never thought she'd run into Seeley, but everything changed when she ran into the WHISKEY she was still trying to forget.
'The boys are back in town, and they're being led front and centre by the one and only Doc Whiskey. Engines aren't the only things getting revved in this second chance romance that leaves you breathless' - The British Bibliophile

Love, Lies and Whiskey is book five in Melissa Foster's The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. This is the latest instalment which follows its predecessors, The Trouble With Whiskey, For The Love of Whiskey, Freeing Sully (a novella) & A Taste of Whiskey.
Each of these books can be read as a standalone read, but are part of an interconnected series. You can start reading it at any point, but you will run the risk of finding something out about someone before you read their book. So release order is recommended for zero chances of spoilers.
I would like to echo something I said in my review for book four, A Taste of Whiskey. To quote, well me, If like me, you have been following from the series from the start--or have caught up at some point--, you will now these burly, bear-like bikers and their backpacks pretty well. Some of us might even have a favourite across this and other series' that intertwine with this world. I have a few favourites, but that could all soon change with the addition of this single father, forbidden love, friends-to-lovers romance. If you're not familiar--why not?!--I highly recommend catching up with them & their cousins from other branches of the Melissa Foster series tree. The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor, The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Bayside. Want to start at the beginning? Grab a copy of 'River of Love' from Melissa's Braden's at Peaceful Harbor series. To read the beginnings of the Whiskeys, head on over to Searching For Love in the Braden's & Montgomerys series.' -- I still stand by what I said then, because it is true and perhaps even more so now. If you're going to spend this year getting to know an author very well through their work across multiple series', make it these and make it Melissa.
Circling back around to this series, The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch kicked off with book one to one of the most impressive starts for a series that I have had the pleasure of reading. We don't always get to start a series from the beginning, but I did with this one and I couldn't have been more glad that I had the chance to. All of the leading men might be under one Dark Knight umbrella, but they are each their own unique person and that has shown in the stories they've been allowed to right up front and centre in as the lead biker--complete with their 'old ladies'. Seeley (aka 'Doc') and Juliette overtake Sasha and Ezra to tell a tale of second chances, truths uncovered, time lost and all of the trials and tribulations that came their way to their long-awaited happily ever after.
Back in their youth and as a young man of nineteen years old, Seeley 'Doc' Whiskey as Whiskeys do, fell hard and fast for the one girl that truly made his heart thump the hardest. The girl in question? The governor's daughter. Once within his arms, she's ripped away from him and Redemption Ranch. Willingly risking his life and family legacy by going after her, his once galloping heart slows and breaks as he discovers eveything that he believed to be true about her, was a lie. Since that eye-opening moment, his heart went on lockdown. Not to be opened by anyone ever again.
Juliette Chambers suffered her own unfortunate fate by being betrayed by everyone she's ever loved, forcing her to unwillingly go through hell and back. Years later, now a proud single mother and veterinarian, she and her son move back to Colorado so that she--and they--can start over again. In her mission to begin anew, she doesn't expect or think that she would ever run into the one person, the one man, who completely destroyed her. Seeley.
Meeting all these years down the line was a chance encounter if ever there was one, though it doesn't stay as such for long. It turns from a surprise meeting into a cataclysmic mix of fury, resulting in an emotional maelstrom for them both. Tears are shed, passion ignites and burns hot, accusations fly, but among all of that, they discover a buried trail of secrets and lies that threaten to rib apart the slowly stitched back together fabric that is their undeniable love. That fabric might come undone for good as the most unexpected of blows knock the winds from their sails and the ground from beneath their feet.
This is what I'm talking about when I say you can see the fruits of an author's labour. Everything that I love about Melissa Foster and her work was poured into Seeley and Juliette's story, and it payed off with honestly one of the most incredible books I've had the pleasure of reading from her. And that's a lot. She manages, brilliantly, to create an enrapturing story that manages to make you fall hard and fast for Redemption Ranch all over again, even though we've been here a small number of times now. She cuts no corners, runs all the risks, pulls out all the stops to deliver a dictionary definite of a 'rollercoaster ride' of a story, and I wouldn't have wanted her to have gone about this series, or Seeley & Juliette's story any other way. I've come to more than like or even love the emotional chokehold that she has me in, and there was no shortage of the flurry of endless whipping and whirling emotions and feelings here.
Would I willingly go through all of them again to re-visit Seeley and Juliette? Yes, a thousand times yes.
Praise has to be given with the expert care and respect Melissa gives to the 'blow' that almost toppled our main characters. I don't usually enjoy stories that contain sub-plots like those, but I pushed on and I'm glad that I did. Melissa navigated it so well, giving it the time and attention it needed, without using it as a plot device. It's a part of real life and I'm applauding her for how she wrote a difficult part of reality into this fictional family and their collective story.
Equally as to be proud of, is my slowly growing collection of Melissa Foster reads. I don't have many of her physical works, but I've been collecting the special edition covers of this series and two weeks earlier than release day, I got Love, Lies and Whiskey It makes my bookshelf even more beautiful and if I could do so, I would one hundred percent collect every edition of the physical books in this series. I'm happy-jealous for everyone who's been able to, because every cover is shelf-worthy and then some.
It's been an honour to ride with this chapter of the Dark Knights so far. With another Whiskey on the horizon, are we ready to hear a little 'Birdie' sing?

I love the Whiskey’s and could not wait for Doc’s story. This couple had me crying, laughing, holding my breath and screaming! My emotions were raw and scattered and my heart was trying to beat right out of my chest a few times. Doc’s family and especially his son Lucas just stole my heart! Juliette and Doc were both lied to and manipulated and it cost them so much, but the way they came back together and were stronger and more in love than ever before was priceless. I fell even harder for Doc seeing how patient and caring he was toward his teenage son. I appreciated the push and pull that Lucas went through coming to terms with having a relationship with his real dad. The special moments they shared were breathtaking! Melissa owes me a box of Kleenex for all the ugly tears I cried. It’s impossible to cry pretty, lol. Doc really showed his beautiful heart and soul to Juliette and Lucas. He had me swooning so hard after he said “When a Whiskey gives his heart away, it’s forever.”
I absolutely loved this story, you won't be able to stop reading until the end. Please don't miss out on this one,in fact read the entire series, you will fall in love with each character. These are some very special people, thanks to the excellent storytelling of Melissa Foster. Thank you for introducing us to the Whiskeys. This is a beautiful story, share it with a friend or family member, who needs encouragement, or to feel like they are wrapped up in love and so much goodness. Let's not forget about the "hot" love scenes, those are FIRE! Enjoy
I knew it would be a special woman who would make Doc fall in love. What we did not know was his past, and that Juliette would come back into his life. I love that they get a second chance, and I was there for their journey. My emotions were all over the place with this story, but in the end, Doc and Juliette get their second chance, and with Lucas, a family they all need.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Wow, another great Dark Knights, Whiskey story. What Doc has believed all these years, left him with a broken heart, only to find out he wasn't the only one who feeling this way. His history is back, old wounds re-opened, new heartache opened, now need answers? This story will shock you, question where your loyalties lie, and whom you trusted. Second Chances are possible, with forgiveness and love ❤️. Beautiful story ❤️.
This was my first read by Melissa Foster I think I could be wrong I read so many books but I have listened to a couple of her audiobooks and they were amazing that when I seen this one offered as a arc I new I had to signup for it! I was not disappointed! Doc and Juliet story was full of lies betrayal and redemption it’s a beautiful second chance and definitely gave me all the feels. The spice was decent and the twists and turns (oh boy there were so many twists ) kept me going and turning the page. This is one you definitely don’t want to miss!
ALC Review Love, Lies, and Whiskey: Doc Whiskey by Melissa Foster The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch - Book 5
This was quite the emotional rollercoaster ride. Juliette and Doc were once together as teenagers but had some external forces pulling them apart. After both of them live some life, they end up in the same location again. As soon as Doc sees her again, he does not plan to let her out of his sight again.
Narrated by: Erin Mallon & Aiden Snow While it took me a little bit to get into the audiobook because it was in third person, the narrators definitely helped bring me into the story. Erin was able to bring the multiple sides of Juliette to life - the caring parental side, the feisty and scorned woman, and the swooning woman falling back in love with Doc. Aiden was pure perfection as the commanding Doc Whiskey
Pick this one up if you enjoy: * Small town * Second chance romance * Single mom / secret baby * Secrets and lies * It's always been you * Second chance ranch * Found family * Fxck around and find out vibes
I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I loved Doc, Juliette and Lucas! They were the perfect family. This book is a little emotional in parts. But it just added to the story!! I highly recommend it. I can’t wait for Birdie’s story.
You know you love an audio when you devour it in a day and blow up the authors DMs while listening. I can’t even explain it but I loved LLAW so much! It was different from all other cowboy books I’ve read. And holy cow the tears…there were a lot. Doc doesn’t do anything without meaning. When he is in, he’s in. And learning all the little meanings through out the story was so special. Juliette thought she and Doc would never be again…Doc made sure to show her otherwise.
Even though this was my first book in the series I didn’t feel lost. But definitely can not wait to go back and listen to the rest.
Aiden Snow and Erin Mallon deserve a round of applause. The performance is incredible, the emotions they conveyed couldn’t have been easy!
This is Melissa’s best work yet! Heart wrenching yet full of courage, determination and compassion, this story captures the essence of Redemption Ranch. Love, humor, angst, and spicy are a few other terms describing Doc and Juliette’s story. Whatever you do, be sure to stock up on tissues before reading. Melissa hits it on the nail with this book. Highly recommend!
This is book 5 in the Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. Just when I thought these books couldn't get any better Melissa Foster proves me wrong.
Seeley 'Doc' Whiskey is a veterinarian on his father's ranch and emotionally closed off since losing his first teenage love.
Juliette Adkin is a veterinarian and a single mother. She returned to Colorado from California after inheriting her grandmother's ranch.
"" It's...been a long time," Juliette said a little shakily. Glowering, Doc said," Not nearly long enough," and headed for the exit."
This second-chance romance had me spinning from emotional hammer blows and various twists and turns which began very early in the book. I found it very difficult to keep the tears at bay.
The supporting cast of Whiskeys and found family were amazing and an integral part of the story. The Redemption Ranch is somewhere I have loved visiting and I can hardly wait to revisit it in the next book.
And we have another great addition to the Love in Bloom world and the Whiskey/Wicked family! I loved getting to know Doc and Juliette and learning about their past and watching as they got the HEA they had always deserved.
It was hard to not adore Doc and Juliette. Doc is the, at times, over protective alpha AF big brother with a huge heart who keeps an eye on everyone he calls his own. Juliette is a force. Her family may have been privileged, but she didn’t have it as easy as many would believe, but she worked hard and made a life for herself and child on her own terms. Their journey to their HEA was a rough one and definitely pulled at those heartstrings. Their re-introduction to each other was definitely explosive but I’m happy they figured things out quickly and found that the feelings that they had as teens never truly went away. And though they had quite a few obstacles to overcome, they did it together and showed everyone just how perfect they were for each other.
A large part of what I love about this series, and the Dark Knights series in general, is the family dynamic amongst the crazy cast of characters. Whether it’s by blood or choice, they have each others backs without question. So, getting to hang out with everyone at Redemption Ranch was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

I absolutely loved this story…it was filled with a second chance romance, lies which kept Doc and Juliette apart and betrayals that ran deep but also emotionally intense moments which had me glued to the pages😢
Melissa is a relatively new author to me, but I’ve devoured this series over the last few days and I love these characters so much already. The camaraderie of the Dark Knights and their actions and kindness is sooooo special🥰 I can’t wait to read Birdie’s story next🙌
