I'm a complete novice to mead making and with the help of this book, I just started my first batch! I appreciated understanding the ingredients and having recipeS to follow. I wish the recipes were a little more beginner friendly (for example, it would have been nice if the 1/3 and 2/3 sugar breaks levels were included and it was unclear when to add the campden tablet). I guess making mead just involves lots of math! :)

All in all, though, a very helpful book and I can't wait to see how my mead turns out!!!

Wonderful beginners guide on mead.

The author really went in and explained what mead is. So many things were covered in this book that will really help in starting the process of making it. The equipment, fermation process, and the steps in making it from A to Z. I now look forward to making mead!

Good read...very concise...I've made several batches before I had this book...some good, some bad, most mediocre... I wish I had had this book before I wasted my time...5 stars!

I was fascinated to learn about the different types of honey, yeast, water and other ingredients used in mead! The author does a fantastic job of going through different options, their benefits and drawbacks. This book can serve as a comprehensive overview for a beginner and gives you sufficient information to start your personal mead making process at home. Very impressive.
