When The Cameras Stop Rolling...

Rate this book
On-screen doctors, off-screen fireworks! On set they make a dream team, but when the credits roll the sparks fly between TV celebrity doctor Eva Veracruz and her brand new co-host Dr Mark O'Donnell. While Mark's arrogant manner gets under Eva's skin, his smouldering glances have her heart racing for all the wrong reasons. For widowed Eva and recently divorced Mark the last thing they need is an off-screen relationship. So why is it so hard for these medics to take their own advice?

Contemporary romance author Connie Cox was a finalist in the 2007 Golden Heart contest and sold that book, Taking Flight, to Avalon Books. When Avalon Books closed, Amazon Montlake picked up Taking Flight and offers the story in hard back, paper back and ebook. Then Connie entered a contest sponsored by Harlequin Medical Romances. This led to The Baby Who Saved Dr. Cynical and four more books with Harlequin. Then life happened. Connie went in a different direction and picked up a new pen name along with a new genre.

But true love never says never. There were still heroes and heroines flitting around in Connie's mind, destined to be together. Now, the muses have pulled Connie back to this pen name to give them all their Happy Endings

This was a very enjoyable book. It is very well written with likeable characters. This would be a great book for a warm summers day kicked back in a hammock. I got this book from good reads.

I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. The action kept going consistently and the characters’ growth, both personally and between each other, was believable. The medical problems covered felt a bit too preachy, but at least made sense in context of the story. For me, most Harlequin romances are nice enough, but lighter and less engrossing than this one.

WHEN THE CAMERAS STOP ROLLING... may go on record as my quickest read. I started the book one evening, was finished the next. The words flow so smoothly I was turning page after page after page. Latina spitfire Eva is the doctor-turned-TV host heroine, and handsome hunk Mike is the doctor-turned-reluctant guest co-host. What happens behind-the-scenes in the TV station is very realistic, and what happens to these two characters is well worth reading to find out!
