Kingdom Come by Johnny Enlow is a groundbreaking book designed to challenge and reshape the conventional understanding of Christianity, offering a fresh perspective on the purpose and function of Christians in the world. Enlow invites both Christians and non-Christians to embark on a paradigm-shifting journey that reveals a Jesus rarely experienced before—a holistic and compelling figure whose true nature is captivating when properly presented.
Enlow tackles the age-old question of purpose, contending that understanding Jesus' purpose is the key to discovering one's own. Drawing heavily from Jesus' own words found in the Beatitudes, Salt and Light passages, and the Lord's Prayer, which Enlow refers to as Jesus' Magna Carta, the author aims to establish a Kingdom narrative—the script or storyline—of why humanity exists. He emphasizes that without a clear understanding of this narrative, individuals may find themselves stumbling through life, unsure of their purpose.
Author Johnny Enlow enabled me to receive fresh revelation about God's Kingdom on earth and our mission as Kingdom dwellers. I thought I understood Jesus' messages in His Sermon on the Mount. KINGDOM COME provides clarification of the Beatitudes that I wouldn't have gotten if I hadn't read this book. I highly recommend this book!
I absolutely loved Johnny's latest book: Kingdom Come. I have read and been enthralled with the 7 Mountain Revelation since first hearing it in 2012. I have read all if the other books; some several times, but the kingdom revelation here especially regarding the sermon on the is what the church needs to finally get out in the world and bring heaven. This is a quick easy divinely inspired book that if taken to heart will bring reformation as we partner in bringing heaven to earth. Jesus came to defeat the works of the enemy. Let's get busy partnering with God to do just that. The Kingdom of heaven ON EARTH is at hand.
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!” Galatians 1:6-8 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/gal.1.8.NIV
I guess we can at something and see it differently sports are a great example depending who you support for example
However as Christians we all support the same Father His Son plus the Holy Spirit yet they're are so many different takes i have many friends that tell me how great Jonny is yet I struggle with some of his theology and this he states makes me weak it doesn't it means i see things differently I have a different understanding. I believe in a God who is all powerful wants eternity with us all and had given us (those saved all power and authority as stated in Scripture add I understand it.
So I didn't get his message there was a lot to agree with but to say salvation isn't important is to in my opinion go against Jesus's message who saw Satin fall like lighting yet said rejoice not in for but that your names are written in the lamb's book of life. This is the main reason I can give what I feel is a generous 3 stars. If you quote scripture then it needs to be used for the reason it is therefore not to say it's doesn't mean this it means that. That's how I've viewed this I may be wrong but this is my honest review.
I did not realize until I got into the book, that the author is promoting the “Seven Mountains Mandate”. I’ve been “warned” about that teaching from others and without studying it in-depth, had a bad impression of it. There was very little the author said that I did not agree with. Its all about being “salt and light” in your area of influence, wherever that may be. It isn’t about controlling or dominating “people” which we could never do, it’s simply going out into the highways and hedges and letting your light shine before men in whatever field of endeaver you find yourself. Now he did say some things regarding “salvation” I did not agree with. God is NOT the “Father” of everyone on earth and all we have to do is to acknowledge it. No. We are lost and alienated from God. Satan is the “Father” of the unsaved, as Jesus clearly stated. So the author goes out on a limb here in a few areas, but I love his understanding regarding the Kingdom and our responsibility. That is why I gave it four stars and not five.
I was gifted this book and found it very illuminating into how the kingdom of God is represented in the Gospels. I am currently going through BSFs Revelation study and this book accompanied my study wonderfully. I finished this book two days before Christmas and the timing could not have been more perfect. Christ came and brought his kingdom here.
There are some things in this book do not agree with. However, I think that it brought up some interesting ideas and helped me think differently about the kingdom of God and how I am an ambassador for Christ’s kingdom.
A very accessible read, this overview of Jesus' Kingdom charter is comprehensive enough without being too dense--it does not spend too much time on minute detail. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I got through it while still getting good nuggets in every chapter. Overall, well written and clear. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the Kingdom.
A great read! Very heavily ideological based with some harder truths that most Christian books leave out. Lots of bible verses and evidence for all of his arguments. I really enjoyed it and it got better with every page! Disclaimer: I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway!
