The Sunkissed Summer novellas are here! Six former college roommates are all about to find love this summer and the series starts with Brooke…who finds her fiance cheating (again) right before the wedding, calls it off and escapes on a honeymoon for one.
Canyon Cove is the the perfect coastal town to mend a broken heart, especially when she runs into a summer fling from her summer before college–Tyler. And it's a perfect length to devour in an afternoon at the beach or pool.
“There’s already a spark between me and Tyler, and a little bit of fuel would turn it into a raging inferno.”
This short and sweet second chance romcom had me swooning through a day at Disney and all the little moments of beach and banter. This author’s writing style speaks to me. I loved Tyler and Brooke, as well as the introduction to the friend group, and I’m even more excited for summer now.

Love is a Roller Coaster by Marie Soleil is one of the cutest and sweetest short little novella I have read. It is part of the Sunkisses Summer Novella series that is a multi author collaboration about 6 former roommates who find love in the same summer. This novella follows a dual POV from Brooke Westfield and Tyler Matthews. One week before Brooke's wedding, she catches her fiancé cheating on her (again). She cancels her wedding and goes on the honeymoon by herself to the small beach town of Canyon Cove, Southern California. 5 years ago, Brooke had an unforgettable romance with Tyler right in Canyon Cove, and she never expected to see him again. It turns out he owns the hotel she is staying at. Even though this is short, it is not lacking on any aspect. I absolutely adored this novella. I read it in one day. I love the way Marie tells the story. She has quickly become an insta-read author for me. I can not wait for more.

I liked the plot and the writing style but it was the overall dialogue that seemed juvenile and robotic. Character are overall hard to connect with in novellas as there just isn't enough time to get to know them. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series

Short and sweet!!
This Sunkissed Summer Novella is a fun, cute, and light read! It went by so fast and I was sad when it was over!!
Brooke headed to California for her honeymoon alone. When she caught her fiancé cheating and called off the wedding, she decided her honeymoon shouldn’t go to waste. Little did she know she would run into Tyler, her crush from 5 years ago.
Brooke and Tyler were so cute! I loved that they had a backstory which made them falling in love again not seem so unreasonable. I loved what Tyler had made of himself since their previous time together and how he always encouraged Brooke to do what made HER happy!
I’m excited for the other books in this fun series!!

This was such a sweet and swoony second chance novella. A honeymoon suite for one after escaping a bad relationship leads to running into an old love—though this was short, it hits all the right notes for a fun, swoony, summer read.

Loved this one so much! Super cute, quick read and best of all, has Disneyland in it! I can totally relate to Brooke’s excitement because it doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s a magical place. Loved Tyler & Brooke together and I’m so happy they got their second chance!

Sometimes you just need a little rom-com novella to tide you over. This was super cute and honestly made me want to go to Disneyland. Tyler was a cinnamon roll but not a push over and Brooke was quintessential rich girl, but together it was adorable!

This was a really quick, sweet, summer read! Brooke catches her fiance cheating just before the wedding so she goes on their honeymoon by herself. In the small beach town of Canyon Cove, she runs into Tyler, who she had an unforgettable summer romance with 5 years ago. In this novella Brooke and Tyler get a second chance at romance! I really enjoyed this light, fun read, that included a day at Disneyland! I'll definitely pick up more books by this author!

Brooke has always put her family first out of respect for her parents, after all she has to maintain her families name and status. Ok maybe she gave up her dreams of being an artist, but expecting her to still marry the man who cheated on her. That was to much even for her. So now she's taking her own get over the shame honeymoon. Turning up at the sweet hotel they'd booked she'd have to face the embarrassment of saying no its just me. But she could do it she knew she'd done the right thing. But being back in Canyon Cove brought back all her dreams and the last time she was there. Tyler was happy with his life now owning the hotel that had changed his life after the heartbreak of her leaving him behind, what more could he want. But then there she is the woman who walked away five years ago, and his feelings for her are still as strong. This is a wonderful easy to read book, that's perfect to sit and read on a warm sunny afternoon. If you love Disney and believe in second chances this has by the bucket full. Its lovely to see when a character realises that you can't please everyone if you aren't happy in the first place.

Marie Soleil never disappoints! I’ve LOVED every book I’ve read by her so far!
This novella was so adorable and had just the right amount of plot and sizzle in such a short story. I definitely wish we had gotten more of Tyler and Brooke, but for what it’s worth it was 6/5 stars!!
I definitely admire authors for being able to weave an entire story in a novella, and Marie did it so well!!

Even though this story is short, there is much to love and appreciate within. I enjoyed seeing these characters reconnect and how both characters come to know how much they like being together and sharing what they love. The importance of standing up and being happy are weaved throughout. A fun story worth the quick read!

What a fun summer novella!! I really enjoyed this one! The pacing on this one was great for a novella! Not too much shoved in to a novella size, just the right amount.
Brooke and Tyler had this wonderful ease to their connection that I loved. They truly brought the best out in one another. I loved seeing them reconnect after their summer fling years ago and be in this perfect timing for their second chance.
And the fact that quite a bit of this book takes place in Disneyland, that was the icing on this delightful cake. I am a big Disney Parks fan, so I was super excited to read their Disney day and be able to connect so much with that.
Such a sweet, fun, swoony novella that should definitely be on your summer TBR.

This kicks off the “Sunkissed Summer Novella Collection” 📚 and it hit the ground running!! I adored ❤️ this story by Marie and am so excited to read about the rest of the Sunny Girls ☀️

After catching her finance cheating on her, again 🤦🏼♀️ 3️⃣ DAYS before the wedding, she calls it all off and goes on a solo honeymoon 💅🏼 When she arrives, she runs into Tyler 👀 her fling from 5️⃣ years ago when she was just 19. Except, he’s no beach bum 🏖️ and all the sparks are still there 😘
Tyler. When he runs into the woman who stil his heart ❤️ 5 years ago, he is shocked 😮 After learning about her failed engagement 👀 Tyler tries to help Brooke do things to make her happy 😊 and hey? Maybe he gets to spend some time with her too 😉
This setting was magical 🪄 Maybe it’s because it was in Disneyland 😘 maybe not. But I absolutely loved 🤩 watching Brooke be able to try new things and watching Tyler just fully and completely support her 🥹

I’ve been meaning to read more of Marie Soleil’s books and I’m so glad I got to this one! I loved the sweet second chance romance between Brooke and Tyler. I also loved that Brooke was doing what she wanted to do, and Tyler was supporting her in that decision! They were such a sweet couple to get to know and I loved that Brooke was able to stand on her own two feet after so long of doing what others wanted for her!

Love is a Roller Coaster is the Sunkissed Summer Novella series. This is a multi-author series with connected characters (former college roommates) but can absolutely be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.
This was such a fun read! Brooke shows up to what was supposed to be her honeymoon on her own and discovers that her one-time summer romance Tyler is the owner of the hotel she's staying at. As they spend time together, it becomes clear that those feelings are still there. I just adored these two together. Their chemistry was super sweet, and I loved how Tyler wanted nothing more than her happiness... which is not something she was used to. Their romance was definitely on the quick side- as novellas so often are- but it worked for them, and I think having that history already certainly helped too! I absolutely loved their Disneyland trip... it was so fun and definitely reminded me of my first and only trip! That nostalgia certainly made this book even sweeter to me! Despite its shorter length (it could easily be read in just 1-2 sittings), this didn't feel at all rushed or like anything was missing. It was the perfect quick summer romance, and I enjoyed every minute.

4.5⭐️ Reconnect with your summer love and have fun at Disneyland on what would have been your honeymoon? of course! Reading Marie again has been spectacular and this novella -which is the beginning of a series of stories about six friends and summer love- is a very nice story of second chances and really knowing who you love.
Brooke and Tyler are a beautiful couple, she decides not to get married because her fiancé cheated on her again and she decides to go alone to the resort where her honeymoon was going to be and that's where she sees Tyler, who 5 years ago was her summer love.
I loved reading this story, thanks Marie for the ARC.

Leer de nuevo a Marie ha sido espectatular y esta novella que es el inicio de una serie de historias de seis amigas sobre lo que viven en el verano es una historia muy linda de segundas oportunidades y realmente saber a quien uno ama. Brooke y Tyler son una hermosa pareja, ella decide no casarse porque nuevamente su prometido la engaño y decide ir sola al resort donde iba a ser su luna de miel y ahi es donde ve a Tyler, quien hace 5 años fue su amor de verano. Me encanto leer esta historia, gracias Marie por el ARC.

Ahhh!! This novella was so cute and sweet and I binged it since I couldn’t put the book down.
Love is a Roller Coaster by @authormariesoleil comes out in two days!
At this point, anything Marie writes, it’s going to be an auto buy from me. This was the third book that I read from Marie and I absolutely love her style of writing.
The reveal of when Brooke and Tyler recognized each other was hilarious! I was wondering how long each would play along.
I just adored these two together. Tyler was so sweet and really took an interest in Brooke’s hobbies and interest unlike her horrible fiance.
The kind gesture with the Vans was so touching. I absolutely loved that and it almost bought tears to my eyes cause that was the sweetest gesture.
This story is so sweet it will give you cavities!
If you are looking for a clean 🧼 sweet short second chance romance, definitely give a read and follow Marie for updates on her upcoming projects.
One of my favorite quotes from Tyler was “Now what would make you happy right now”? I loved how he asked and wanted her to always be happy.

Such a fun, cute read! This may be a short novella but there is so much sweet goodness packed into the pages. Loved Brooke and Tyler's backstory and watching them reconnect was like magic! I am so glad we were introduced to Brooke's friends who will all get their own HEA in the series.
This was the perfect light, summer read to pick up at the pool or on the beach. Can't wait to read more in the series!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 1 in the Sunkissed Summer Novellas Series, a standalone multi-author collaboration series. The book's blurb lets you know what to expect. Love is a Roller Coaster is told through Brooke and Tyler's pov and is a sweet second chance romance.
After calling off her wedding, Brooke is ready to relax and enjoy her vacation time in Canyon Cove. She wasn't expecting to run into Tyler, someone she dated before starting college. Like her, Tyler is surprised to be reunited but is ready to make the most out of their time together. Though Brooke let others shape how she was, underneath she was waiting for someone to accept her as is - which is what Tyler did. He encouraged her to be herself and reminded her of the dreams that they had. Because their story is a novella, it didn't contain the usual angst that is associated with second chance romances but it was very sweet to see Brooke and Tyler reconnect. Their romance was a clean one consisting of descriptive, but not overly detailed, kisses and no foul language was used. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and think it was a great way to start off this summer novella series.

I absolutely loved this cute sweet short novella!! I loved Brooke and Tyler!! My favorite part was when Tyler took Brooke to Disneyland because she always wanted to go but her rich parents thought it was too childish. I loved the reaction she had to seeing Ariel in the park, she got so excited like she was meeting a celebrity! That makes me think to last when I went to Epcot in Walt Disney World with my husband and son, we were having a snack in the France Pavillon and then my husband goes look it’s Belle and the excitement I felt! I got star struck and so shy and I never went over to meet her cause I thought it was too childish but after reading this book next time I see Belle in the parks I’m gonna go up and meet her and try not to tear up! I teared up reading that part of Brooke in Disneyland and the way Marie Soleil wrote Brooke’s excitement is the way I feel every time I go to Disney with my husband and son! This is a must read novella that will quite literally take you just an afternoon to finish but will stay in my heart forever!

This novella was so cute and sweet 🥺😍 ! I am always expecting to feel left out with a novella but don’t worry, this one has everything in it ! What I absolutely adore ? The fact that Brooke and Tyler had a backstory ! It made them falling in love again reasonable and relatable ! I might have a tiny crush on Tyler, just saying 😂 I really appreciated how he helped Brokke standing up for herself !
Overall, a fun novella full of charm and cuteness that you don’t wanna miss !
Now I have a little confession to make. Even though I live near Disney Land, I actually never did Space Mountain🙄 Hard to believe, isn’t it ? But the waiting line is always so long ! But now I have to do it next time !

A bride goes on her honeymoon alone expecting to have a week to figure out what's next. Imagine her surprise when within minutes of her arrival she sees the man she fell in love with years ago on a two week family vacation. Within hours she reconnect with him and all of a sudden the week ahead looks more promising.
An unexpected pair of tickets to Disney World leads to a day long date and a return of the feelings of years ago. The Disney World experience was to told with so much detail and joyous participation, it brought the park to memory in perfect clarity.
Wonderful characters, detailed descriptions, and sweet romance... it doesn't get much better than that. I just wish that the book was longer and had more development to reestablish the former relationship. It felt rushed to the conclusion.

When Brooke walks out before her wedding, she finds herself alone on her honeymoon.
Brooke loves the Canyon Cove Inn and is surprised to find the guy she left behind 5 years ago.
Tyler has made many changes over the years. He now owns the Canyon Cove Inn and is happy.
When Tyler sees Brooke again after 5 years, he sees how beautiful she remains and how she is single.
Brooke mistakes Tyler for working at Canyon Cove Inn but is surprised to find he now owns it, yet she knows how much he loved the Inn.
Tyler and Brooke go on the art walk, something they share a love for. When Tyler asks Brooke to go to Disneyland, she jumps at the chance. What a time they have.
What both discover is how much they like being together and sharing in things they love.
Brooke proves that Tyler is important to her and steps out of her safe zone..for both them!

i swear Marie Solei writes magic because i can't believe this is my second short story i've read by her and ended up absolutely loving :O
the setting was beautiful and so were the characters. i adored the dual POV, specially Tyler's, and all their issues and their past, it reminded me SO MUCH of The Notebook. and gosh, you can tell there is character development in here, the decisions she makes and how different all is when someone is asking a question and they really care about her answer :(( i was legit jumping in my bed of happiness at some point and my smile was on my face the entire time. maybe i enjoyed it more because i read it in the summer, but that was also a bonus i adored<3
anyway, go read her novels if you haven't!!!!

Sweet, contemporary second chance romance
Romance, sweet, contemporary, second chance; series but stand alone read
Brooke and Tyler’s second chance was a lovely reconnection of a summer romance. It took a cheating fiancé to get Brooke to realize that she deserved to be seen, cared for more than superficially, and most importantly cherished. That her dreams and aspirations mattered as well. Tyler is a great character, concerned with her, caring for her, and recognizing the chance for what it was, more than an opportunity to connect, an opportunity for a HEA for them both.
Lovely, sweet moments, great to see these characters cherish one another and be happy to build a future together.
