Where should I start with this book.. It was so well written and beautiful and I am so proud of Ms. Small for this one. The book is full of love, funny moments, sassiness and smut 😈.

Everly, our sweet girl Eve or should we call her Blue, or Monet or Larkspur I mean take your pick. She is so down to earth and sweet and her sassines is just so great. Our FMC is amazing, strong woman and I just love the way she wrote her in this book. She is in this new environment, after loosing someone very important in her life her dad transferred her and her brother to a new school, due to his “new job” and she gets to this school and her entire world is change when she meets each and everyone one of our MMC. Each one written with their own personality, it is amazing how KD portrait each one of them, and how you will fall in love for each one. The love they feel for our girl is so sweet, raw and sexy, their chemistry is instant. The book will take you through different moments with each one of her boys, and also together, and it will have your toes curling, get ready for the smut, cuz ufff 🥵. I love the way the book goes through the time of them falling in love, fighting for her, and taking care of her making sure she is safe. My favorite part was the way they took care of her after she went through a very traumatic moment in her life, and they never left her alone.

The plot on the book is so original, different and so well written. It will keep you entertained until the very last page, and Ms. Ma’am that ending, c’mon you cannot leave us hanging this way, I want more like yesterday.

This book is seriously at the top of my list of favorite books this year! KD really knocked it out of the park with this one, especially with it being her debut!

I was hooked from the very first page. Everything about this story drew me in. The details were INCREDIBLE! So very detailed in every aspect that I could absolutely visualize this unfolding right in front of me. Seriously, the characters, the buildings, the surroundings, everything. It was like front and center in my brain!

Most of the time, with PNR/fantasy books, the world building is slow and hard to get into, but absolutely NOT with this one! Like I said, I was hooked from page 1. The pacing was absolute perfection and kept you moving forward.

Okay, let's talk about these men 🫠 I didn't know that I could equally love 3 men at the same time, thanks Ev! Haha. But the characteristics of each of them draw you in so much. I will say, Knox had me in a squishy place the entire book. But Dom Daddy Griff, yes, please! And Chase...I just laugh and melt whenever he talks. Ugh, seriously, all 3 of these delicious men have me in a chokehold!

Buuuuuut that ending ma'am. I'm not okay. I don't do well with cliffys, I seem to fly off the edge and face plant, and it takes a good shoveling to get me up again. So thanks for that 🤣

I am SO incredibly excited for the next book in this series. I need answers. I need closure. I need it all!

( ARC Review )

You know me by now, I am very honest with my reviews. So I just want to quickly say this, if you ever see a review of mine, please don't let my rating or review stop you from getting said book.
The beauty of individual reviews, they will all completely differ and whilst it is a 4 star for me, it may be a 5 star read for you. We all enjoy different things and that is perfectly okay, so take a chance on a book even if you aren't sure. You never know if you'll enjoy something unless you try it!

Although I enjoyed reading this, I did feel like it was slightly missing something. The beginning was very moving and I really enjoyed it. The ending, that cliff-hanger was really good and I am still trying to work out in my head what is going to happen next!
However I did slightly lose focus some point in the middle, not because it wasn't good but for me personally everything felt like it was moving too quickly, certain elements of the story felt like they weren't necessarily needed and the plot felt like it was missing a little bit.
Again, this is just my opinion and there is plenty of people that have already put amazing reviews on this book so if your looking for a RH romance, that isn't as dark as most but still required TW's, this might be the one for you!

Oh.My.God.
This was wow…an amazing book to be my first PNR. Why choose if you don’t have to. FMC Everly’s thoughts exactly. Griffin, Chase, and Knox are sprung on the new student at their elite college for the magically gifted. There is plot. There is smut (in the best way). There is mystery. There is a cliffhanger that has me pacing for book 2. What a debut novel!!! I loved how the characters were in college but didn’t talk like the cast of Dawson’s Creek. They still had youthful voices, because seriously I’m 34 and do not find myself talking like someone’s middle aged Aunt Karen (no offense to the nice Karen’s of the world). Their voices were relatable. Again pacing for book 2 and Ever Blue moved to the top of my list for favorite why choose books. Reviews are subject to everyone’s individual opinion, but my rec to you is to not sleep on getting this book. I was not disappointed in any way!

won this book in a fb release party and it did not disappoint! Everly, FMC, and her twin brother Evan, get sent to a new school for their 4th and final year after their father got a new job. This school is for magical beings.

Upon arrival they are introduced to Griff, tour guide/student and 1 of our MMC’s. There is an instant attraction between Everly and Griff. Griff is fun and charismatic! It’s not long after that Everly meets Chase and Knox, Griff’s roommates and best friends. Everly realizes just how scr€wed she is once she realizes she is attracted to all 3 men and that he feelings are reciprocated.

There are several ups and downs. We have Austin Thorpe who is a creep… but won’t stop messing with Everly and She can’t do anything about it because Austin’s father is Everly’s father’s boss.

There are a lot of spicy scenes. Not overly graphic! And fair warning… it does end on a cliffhanger just as the suspense is building up! I can’t wait to read book 2!

I am hoping for more world building and more about everyone’s magic and abilities!

This is book 1 in the Solis Lake Academy series. It is a spicy, New Adult series that takes place in the senior year of College at their magical academy. While it is NA, I do suggest reading the content warnings as there are some adult themes that could be upsetting to some readers. I recommend this series to 18+ readers.

-College Academy Setting
-Telekinesis & Pathokinesis
-RH
-Paranormal
-Shifters and teleportation
-Cute nicknames

This is the debut by K. D. Smalls and it is a fantastic start to this very unique series. I loved learning about their magical abilities and the beautiful campus that they attend. We get to learn about the world and the magic held within it. I enjoyed learning about each character and what they brought to this series. Each one is so different and holds a specific place in this story. The world will suck you in and keep you invested until the very crazy cliffhanger that had me shaking my head. If you love any kind of paranormal setting with lots of fun characters, this is your series.

I'm absolutely loving it the characters are hot, funny, and relatable. I loved the guys each had their own strong personality. Everly also had a strong and verbose personality I absolutely adored her. The story kept you engrossed from the start and the ending left you wanting more. This book was everything I hoped for and more I can't wait to read the next one to find out what happens next.

A well written fast paced insta love why choose college/academy fantasy romance with all the bells and whistles! Explosive character dynamics, close family/friendships, mixed magics, multi- pov, steamy kinky spice, bad girls that don't play nice - mystery, a sinister plot, betrayal and lies, trauma, grief, a cliffhanger that'll drop your jaw and so much more! I can't wait to see what comes next!!

What an amazing debut for this author! This has left me wanting book 2 so badly! Everly is the new student at an elite college for the magically gifted. She is a strong female lead which I love. Then there is Griffin, Chase, and Knox which are just SO *chef’s kiss* The plot is amazing and it has the perfect amount of spice. This book was paced so nicely. I highly suggest this read for those who love PNR and academy. And I will say this again, I can’t wait for book 2! I want to know more about all of the characters!

This book is absolutely mind-blowing and it has easily become one of my top favorite books of the year! KD has done an exceptional job with this debut novel and it has left me in complete awe!

Right from the start I was completely hooked and everything about the story captivated me to the point I read this book in a few hours, as I couldn’t put it down. The attention to detail is simply incredible and it was like I was a fly on the wall, watching everything unfold, right in front of me. The characters, the surroundings, the buildings, everything was so vivid that it felt like I was right there!
Unlike other PNR/fantasy books, this one instantly draws you in and the world-building is just perfect! The pacing is flawless and it keeps you on the edge throughout.

Right now, for one of the best parts about the book … the men. Oh my goodness! With some books, I’ve always found it hard to fall in love with multiple men at time in reverse Haram. However, in this book, it came so easily to me and I think Everly played a big part in that. The unique characteristics of each character drew me in so deeply that I couldn't help but fall for them. Griff completely dreaming by his change of character in the bedroom as he becomes a hot daddy dom🤤! Chase is such a charming character with some of the best humour throughout the book, especially at times when things should be serious😊 and Knox 😍is such a caring and passionate character as well as obsessed over Everly just as the other boys

Everly, comes across quite misunderstood and definitely doesn’t see her true beauty, whether that’s how she looks physically or just how she is as a person on the inside. Throughout the whole book, we see Everly has quick wit and her amazing humour whilst interacting with the boys.

That cliffhanger at the end! It left me gasping for air and I am not okay! I mean, I don't do well with cliffhangers, but this one has got me completely hooked. I am eagerly waiting for the next book in this series to be released because I can't wait to see what happens next! And I need to know what happens next!

Twins Evan and Everly were sent away to Solis Lake after their mothers death. Solis Lake is like Princeton, but for students with magical abilities. To make matters worse, they are having to spend their final year of college at this new school. When Griff, Chase, and Knox walk in to Everly’s life, everything will change and secrets will be uncovered.

I received this book as part of K.D. 's ARC group, and I am so happy I was able to have this as my first ARC experience and support an author's dreams of writing. Everly and Evan are a set of twins just like all the other twins we know, close, but still manage to get on each other's nerves. Their relationship kind of reminded me of me and my brother's relationship, except I think they like each other a little more :). The men…. WHEW, these men were amazing! One of the negatives I had about the book is the timeline in which Everly fell for these men so fast, and them for her. They also consumed her every waking moment which was irritating at times. Realistically though, I would probably fall for all three of them two in record time the way K.D. writes them. The spice was spicing by like 25% which I really loved. I think out of the three, Knox is my favorite, however, all three of them have a vibe and can fit any mood. They are honestly perfect and made Everly and her needs their priority. Another thing that I wish this book had more of was the use of their powers, how they got them, or more about the classes. I’m thinking Harry Potter-ish. They are at this school for powers, but the main focus was on Everly, Griff, Chase, and Knox spending time in each other's rooms or eating a meal. Sometimes in the middle I had to take breaks because I was struggling to stick with it, and the ending provided a twist I don’t think anyone saw coming. Overall, this was a great book and I will 1000% read the next one, because with this ending, I’ll be WAITING for it.

This is a decent why choose book, a lot milder than what i am use to reading for RH tropes. I enjoyed the lead characters, hated the antagonist clearly. Didn't really like the ending but its a cliffhanger so i need to know what happens next lol.

I love the strength of the female lead, always here for a girl who takes no crap from anyone and sticks up for herself. I liked her guys obvi for the same reason she does.

In the beginning this read a lot like a novella so it threw me off a bit, but towards the end it warmed up. So I will def be continuing the series.

Where to start?! Okay so I am not typically in to Fantasy/PNR books, especially not here lately. However I went in to this knowing it was out of my element but wanted to remain open minded. Talk about 🤯😍 Because this got hot quick!! Which leads me to my next point; I felt like towards the middle of the book I was struggling to stay with it. I’m not sure if it’s because I felt it was almost rushed through; or whether there was just too much packed into it. The cliffy is freaking REAL and it’s one of those cliffhangers that will literally make in want to scream, maybe pull some hair out.. cry in anticipation.. idk lol. Alls I know is it was A LOT!! So Chase, Griff and Knox GIRL… it’s literally like my all time favorite trope… WHY FREAKING CHOOSE?! I won’t, I’ll take them all, thank you very much. 😂🥵

Actual story overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
For me I’ve read so many RH books that packed miss spice, but the little spice it does have is good, there is just not enough.

Who wouldn't be happy with three hot boyfriends watching over you each with different magical abilities?

This book sets the scene for an amazing cliff hanger from page one and it will definitely leave you wanting more. KD has created a world with words that comes alive and with characters that you can and do get emotionally attached to.

I highly recommend that you read this book as with all my reviews please read the trigger warnings and be prepared for a reading hangover.

Thank you

Magic and spice? Yes! 😍
I really enjoyed this book and after that cliffhanger ending, I NEED to read book 2!

✨RH
✨Magic
✨Spicy
✨Why choose
✨He/They fall first
✨Touch her and die
✨College Academy setting

‼️ Please check trigger warnings before reading!

FMC Everly moves to Solis Lake Academy with her twin brother Evan during fourth year. There, she meets 3 friends....Griffin the scholar , Chase the jock & Knox the artist and instantly connected with all 3! Definitely a "why choose" vibe all the way.

When he'll do anything for her, but it's all 3 guys! The way they all connect with Everly and love her differently but are all in for her is everything!

There's magic, romance, drama, plot twist, & smut all in one book.

You'll get the school bitch of course so yes there's messy girls involved! It does get dark in a couple chapters so please read trigger warnings! Plus a huge cliffhanger and plot twist at the end has me needing to read book 2 like now!

I don’t normally like books that are based in a school, even college but this one had a fun twist that it was more extra schooling because they all had magic. The characters were fun and Everly was so sure of herself. I did appreciate seeing her struggle a little when the bad stuff happened to her (I will leave it vague as to not included spoilers). The first chapter feels a little out of place but I am sure that will not be the case when the next books come out. The relationship between the twins was so amazing but I felt the ending did not fit with Evan’s character. The ending also felt like it was building up for this massive reveal and then ended right before it happened.
Fair warning it is Instalove with all three of the guys and ends on a massive cliff hanger. I am looking forward to the next book.
Thank you so much for the chance to review this ARC!

Ever Blue grabs you from the first page to the last. The cliffhanger will make you want book 2 ASAP. It’s the right amount of spice. I was skeptical of them falling for her right away, but this is a PNR book and maybe they are her soulmates? I would like to think they are. Anything is possible

Check trigger warnings…

Also, there’s this mysterious black squirrel that shows up from time to time. I have no idea who it could be. Maybe someone we haven’t met yet. I’d like to hear your theories about this

Up front for those who want to know it's a cliffhanger. It pulled me in and now I need the next one.

I was also nervous for my dad to meet my guys. I hadn’t told him about them yet, and while the ball seemed like kind of a shitty place to spring that information, I didn’t really have a choice. There was no way he wouldn’t be able to tell the minute I introduced them all. F-ck. I had a terrible feeling this whole thing was going to be a sh-t show, inside of a dumpster fire, on board the hot mess express with me as the conductor.

2.5 ⭐️s - I wanted to like it, but just couldn’t. Everly is the dumbest person alive and incredibly immature. Definitely not a strong FMC. The guys are nothing special, so far they’re all talk and nothing to back it up. It’s amazing how they continue to let her be by herself fully knowing that some psychopath is out to get her….. and is always where they are…. Waiting… to get her. I also don’t understand why this is a paranormal, I understand there is magic and it was mentioned here and there, but it was completely put on the back burner.

If you like spice and magic, this book is for you!
I could not put this book down and cannot wait for the next one.

At the beginning of the book I swear I was smiling like a schoolgirl with her first crush when the FMC was meeting all of the guys. The attraction was instant for all of them, and it felt very natural.

I would have liked more classroom scenes and learning a little more about the school, but that’s just me personally.

This book is not your average fantasy romance, I was expecting more magic and world building. This is a RH instant attraction quick read. I love Chase he’s prob my favorite out of the guys. Everly and Evan make a perfect twin duo, I’m just sad not to get to ever read things from his POV. This is a multi POV story which I loved. Warning- this book does end on a cliff hanger. Overall I would recommend, I only rated it 4 stars because although magic is mentioned it’s not really a “fantasy” novel.

No one told me this ends on such a cliffhanger!!! Y’all left your girl hanging!

Everly just lost her mom and now her dad has decided to send her and her twin brother Evan to Solis Lake Academy, uprooting them their last year of school. Thinking this is going to be a terrible experience until she meets Griffin.

“Lord this man could ruin my panties with just a look”

Griff is their campus tour guide and he immediately is taken by Everly. But let’s not stop there. His best friend and roommate Chase meets Everly and is completely smitten. So they decide they both want to date her and they’re okay with this arrangement. But why stop there?

“Okay, if this is what Everly wants, then I’m good. But just know, I’m a fire elemental, and my magic is fucking strong. I will burn you both to ashes and bury your bones with a second thought if you hurt my sister.”

HELLO Knox! 🥵 Honestly he’s my favorite. Who doesn’t love the quiet broody man who’s a cinnamon roll for her?!

Everly now finds herself dating all three friends. Color me green because I’m jealous as hell!!! She does have to deal with Griff’s annoying cheating ex a few times but she quickly sets her straight.

Just as everything seems to be going good you have a few instances where creepy Austin inserts himself and forces himself at Everly. But the guys are determined to keep him away from her.

Alls well and good until we meet Evan’s new girl he’s been hanging out with and trust me, you won’t like her. Their dad has also gotten himself into quite a work predicament that leaves us ending the book with our mouths hanging wide open!!! 😮

I need the second book like yesterday 🤣.

I did, not think I could find a paranormal reverse harem author that compared to Tessa Hale, but oh my gosh, I did! I absolutely, loved Ever Blue by @kdsmallsauthor! The rate at which I devoured this book, has left me impatiently awaiting book 2. Knox, Chase, Griff and Eves have captured my heart, the magical journey that awaits you in the halls of Solis Lake Academy will have you binge reading Ever Blue in one sitting.
If you are looking for a spicy book with a good story line, then this is the book for you. The details and descriptions are on point. I honestly, don’t think that this book is missing a thing, and it is very well written. Ever Blue is going to be one of my top reads of 2024 and I just added a new favorite author to my list.
If I had one complaint, it would be the cliffhanger at the end of the book, I got to the last page and I told myself @kdsmallsauthor wouldn’t leave us with that ending. lol She knows how to leave a girl hanging.
I am definitely, not a fan of Austin and I hope that snow leopard rips him to shreds in the next book, right along with Morgan! Eves better knock some sense into her twin brother Evan, when it comes to Celeste. Seriously, the dude is blind, lol.
I cannot, wait to get my hands on book 2 to see how that cliffhanger plays out. Thank you, for allowing me to read your work of art before it releases!

It will be no secret once you read this book who my favorite mmc is…… 😉
