Amber’s sun magic is fading, and time’s running out before it’ll disappear completely.
Now, she needs to travel to the Himalayas to find and claim the Solar Scepter—the weapon forged for her by the sun goddess—to kill the Shadow Lord.
Unfortunately, she can’t leave Manhattan. The fruit Damien tricked her into eating on her first night in his vampire kingdom bound her inside the city’s borders.
There’s only one way to break the spell: by marrying Damien—who Amber doesn’t trust, let alone love—and becoming his queen.
Will Amber save her city, even if it means sacrificing her heart?

Another great read from Ms Madow. Due to some medical issues, It took me quite awhile to get through the first 25%. Once I got past that, I was totally sucked in & read the last 3/4 in 1 day.
This has an interesting cliffhanger at the end: Our protagonists have to complete 5 "trials" to save the world. The book end after trial #3! Makes one really anticipate book #4!
Well written for early teens - elderly; which is not easy to do. I consider Ms Madow in the top 5 or higher of modern fiction writers, & highly recommend this or ANY of her series. Start where you like (as long as it's a book 1 in a series) & you won't be disappointed!
Can't wait for book 4!
I received a copy of this book at no charge & am leaving a non biased review.
Amber's magic is fading, so they must go on a quest to find the Solar Scepter - the only thing that will kill the Shadow Lord. The only problem is that Amber is unsure that she can bring herself to kill him. As the Duskberry bond keeps Amber on Manhattan, the only way to break it is to marry Damien. Although reluctant, she does marry him. They are then off to the Himalayan Mountains accompanied by Morgan and Blaze. There are trials to pass and they all must participate.
Fading Sun (Star Touched: Vampire Bride #3) ~ Amber’s growth in this book is phenomenal. She’s no longer just trying to survive—she’s fighting for what she believes in and for the people she’s come to care about. Her bond with Damien deepens in ways I didn’t expect, revealing sides of him I wasn’t sure existed. The rebellion builds, the betrayals cut deep, and the emotional impact of every choice is huge. This book had everything—magic, heartbreak, power, and passion. I loved this book and can’t wait to start the final one!
This series is incredible and book three is a fantastic addition. It’s gripping, exciting and suspenseful and has you in its hooks from start to finish. Ambers sun magic is fading but she can’t leave to find the solar sceptre because of Damien. What does she have to do to get out? Marry the vampire king, Damien is what!! Twists and turns keep you guessing, there’s magic, action and romance as this continues to enthral and have you so, so ready for more!
We continue with Ambers journey to get the poison out of her and to reclaim her magic. She is tasked with finding the Sceptor that will help her defeat the shadow lord but in order to leave the city she must marry Damien. As in last book you thought they would get closer but in this one they are pushing themselves farther away. With Ambers conflicting feeling for the shadow lord we just have to hope to doesn’t loose sight of whats important.
The third book in the Star Touched: Vampire Bride series and it doesn't disappoint. Morgan and Blaze return and we still don't know if Blaze can be trusted. Damien and Amber aren't gelling. And all four need to work together to face some trials in order to find the Solar Scepter - the only thing that will kill the Shadow Lord. Can they do it?! Can't wait for the next to see what happens!
I wasn’t quite as “into” this story as the previous ones in the series. It felt almost repetitive. I did get hooked once the final quest began, though. Of course, with it being the final quest and there still being another book to go, the quest ends in the middle as a cliff-hanger to make sure you read the last book, which I certainly will.
The poison running through Ambers body is not only causing her to loose control of her power but it is also poisoning her mind with dark thoughts as the Shadow Lord tries to sway her to join him and leave Damien the sooner Morgan finds a way to get it out of her and into the compass the sooner she should start to feel like herself. However yet again Damien is upset her not just because he has had to kill his friend to gain the artefact (the compass) that can save her from the poison that infecting her but because Amber has also left the safety of the Fairmont and put herself at risk of being taken which leaves things rocky between the two of them. They must come together to not only save their relationship but to save the world from being taken over by the Shadow Lord Astrophel and the shadow souls however if Astrophel has his way Amber will be his as they rule over it all!!
Amber who is sun touched is on a quest to find the Solar Scepter to use to kill the Shadow Lord. Unfortunately she can't leave Manhattan since the fruit Damien gave her keeps there. The only way to leave is to marry the Damien the vampire king! Another cliffhanger! Can't wait for next book!
Wow, this series is getting more and more intense and intriguing with every book I read. I loved it. What on earth is going to happen in the final one, will Amber make the right choice, cannot wait to find out. Highly recommended.

I am so sad I have to wait!! But I cannot wait!! Please hurry up. I go on a trip every time I read these books. I am able to relax and enjoy the store instead of stress about life.
Michelle Maddow you just love your cliffhangers for ending your books don't now I have to wait for the next book in the series I can't wait to read it like this one and all of your books from cover to cover.
Every single book I have read from this author has had me riveted, this book was the same. A very talented author, thank you for such wonderful reads that helps me escape life for a bit into a book.
I love Ms. Madow's books! She writes such interesting stories about the paranormal world. Always full of love, but with challenges along the way. You won't be sorry to buy any of her books.
As expected, Michelle has written another great book. This one was one of my favorites, with lots of interesting things happening, and has me eagerly anticipating the next one!
I feel like it was too short because as soon as I started reading time just flew by. It was so so good!!! I’m on pins and needles waiting for the finale!!
The third in this series had a great build up and continuation. It left on point where I’m not quite sure how things will turn out. Excited to read the next one.
oh, this series...has so much happening. one wrong choice & it all could be for nothing. You should definitely give this series a try. It is a great adventure.
Bingeing on! This one was intense but very satisfying. However, I would have really hated the ending if i didn't already have the final book to jump right into.
In general this book really picked up and began to expand on our main characters. I do wish that there was a bit more relationship development at times, but I really enjoyed the challenges.
Dang it, this FMC and MMC need to get their act together. I feel like it has been a long time since I have read a couple that is truly making me want to through my tablet because two people just can't be honest and admit their feelings. Now don't get me wrong this is good because I am 100 percent invested in this story. This book was full of lots of action with their continued hunt to stop the Shadow Lord. They face trials to see if they are worthy of the Solar scepter. I believe there is to be 5 trials and do wish that the book finished the trial be for ending but it only made it through 3 before the story was over.
