There is a lot of good reading material in the 242 pages of this excellent journal. I especially like that multiple genres (Adventure, Mystery, Fantasy, Horror, and Science Fiction) are represented. This provides fun variety, and I probably enjoyed it more than if it was all devoted to a single genre.
I enjoyed most of the submissions. All of the classics, of course, which are well chosen. Among the new stories and poems, the standouts for me is Lorina Stephens' lovely tearjerker "Cornish Pasties on Wednesday", Katherine Kerestman's "Invitation to the Danse", and Paula Hammond's "Where Ever The Fancy Takes You." There is an excellent and stirring poem from the master, Ngo Binh Anh Khoa, called "The Final Stand" which alone would be worth the price.
The journal is somewhat marred by typos and errors in formatting in places. But that is a minor point and did not detract much from my enjoyment.
I will definitely be buying more issues of this journal.
