Neurodiversity Club (NDC) for High School Part Two: A club guidebook for students in high school who are neurodivergent, who want to have fun with friends ...
Neurodiversity Club Are you neurodivergent? Have you noticed you are particularly different from the people around you? Are you often feeling left out or in need of friends? Do you feel like people don't understand who you are? Where most human brains are part of a group termed neurotypical, you may have a mild neurological disorder such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, or other diagnoses. You may be in a neurodivergent group of thinkers.
Neurodiversity Club (NDC) will provide you with a group of friends where you feel like you belong and will have a lot of fun. In NDC, you will meet regularly to play games and get to know people. You will identify your unique talents and those of your friends. Together, you will plan service projects for your community. Your friends in NDC will help you with everyday problems and work with you to change perceptions neurotypical people have. Start a Neurodiversity Club at your school or organization and learn how important you really are.
