Hunted by the law. Haunted by his past. Facing his most cunning enemy... And Doc Holliday couldn't be happier.

It may be suicide, but even immortals have to die sometime...

Hi, I'm M.M. Crumley Your Author Extraordinaire (Also Known as M.M. Boulder)
As M.M. Crumley I write Urban Fantasy books full of supernatural action, nail-biting-mystery and; laugh-out-loud humor. Why? Because stories, myths, and legends have always been a huge part of my life... As a child, I liked nothing better than to lose myself in a world where magic and heroes were part of the fabric of existence.
As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!
No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!
I have several series to help you scratch your itch for adventure: THE HOUSE OF GRAVES Series THE IMMORTAL DOC HOLLIDAY Series THE LEGEND OF ANDREW RUFUS Series JANEY FALKE: SAINT KILLER Series (Coming Soon) Five Deliciously Dark Psychological Thriller Novels And More...

This could be a very imaginative and fun series. It is imaginative, and the world building is pretty good, but Doc is pretty much invincible and that doesn't allow for any tension to build. Every scrape he gets in he plows through like a hot knife through butter, I starting skipping over his "fights". Add to that NO repercussions for any of his actions, (thank you Jervis and billions of dollars) and it just becomes a buddy comedy. The friendship with Jury is entertaining-but as a short story not an entire book. Sadly that's all you're left with.
I'm really enjoying this series. Plenty of action, nice and fast paced story, good characters and some good comedy. I will definitely be continuing this series. On to the next one.
I tried not to like The Immortal Doc Holliday, but I guess it’s like eating one potato chip. You eat one, then look down and the whole bag is empty.
Doc’s friends and associates are all characters worthy of their own series. I guess that’s the point these days. Hook your audience, create at least three spin-off series and you have become a mini Michael Anderle. (No disrespect intended, I’m a fan.) Onward Ho to Book Three!
Coup D'etat is the second book in The Immortal Doc Holliday series by M. M. Crumley.
Oh thank you author! I seriously despised Sofia from the moment she appeared on the page. All of that build up about they great woman he would need to save, and she fell horribly flat to expectations. I thought it would be absolutely ridiculous for her to be helping her father, she acted soo entirely disgusted by him, but now I wonder if she played a part in her mother dying? There is no way she was twisted that easily into such an abomination.
I do feel that the plot is a little Topsy turvy... While it obviously makes sense for Bosch's goal to be some grab for power, it was such a convoluted mess of webs that led to his goal. I know the author, and Doc, explained he was hedging his bets, but there were still far too many instances within the story where things did not seem to fit.
Are Jury's family actually that ridiculously deluded? They simply agreed to help the bad guy that easily, just went right along with his plan? They didn't see any reason to question him, simply because he had the position of leading the BCA. They were so blinded by their image they practically jumped at the chance to make that connection, and assist so high in power. I can't even. I feel like a full body cringe just thinking that Jury is related to them.
Speaking of Jury, his and Doc's friendship is something else. It's hilarious to experience them constantly fighting, except you cannot mistake the care they have for each other. It's this weird bromance that is far too enjoyable to watch unfold each time.
I honestly won't be surprised if Aine and Doc end up together in the future. He goes on and on about how he could never settle down, but she has already wormed her way deep into his heart. I wonder if she will win in the end, and convince him whatever they may have would be better than nothing? Or if he will only wait until he finds someone who will never die, just like him? But perhaps Aine is just here to tease the readers with the possibility of an HEA?
I really want to read the series based on Andrew's adventures. Just having those flashback moments of him, has intrigued me furiously. What was this speak of The Raven? The being that is Death? The Underneath? There is so much more I want to learn about this literary world!
Hunted by the law. Haunted by his past. Facing his most cunning enemy..... And Doc Holliday couldn't be happier.
Coup D'état is book two in the Immortal Doc Holiday series and a cracking good read it is too.
Doc and his Witch pal Jury are five steps behind Bosch their enemy and as they find themselves pulled ever deeper into his web they struggle to stop his plan, a plan that could see the destruction of the 'Hidden' .
They are soon on the hook for murder and are wanted in every quarter. To make matters worse Jury's mum is coming for them, she's bringing the entire family and they are on the wrong side!
I really enjoyed this book, it was incredibly fast paced with Doc and Jury banging from one disastrous encounter to another. The plot is serviced well and moves along nicely from book one. The action is handled well and whilst Doc's sometimes awkwardly timed sojourns into his past could be jarring and ruin the pacing they don't, in fact they add to not only the plot but the sense of melancholy that hangs round Doc despite the devil may care, charming rogue persona he adopts. What makes this series standout are the characters, each feels well rounded, with thoughts feelings and motivations uniquely their own. Doc and Jury's friendship and ensuing banter are truly things to savour and I found myself laughing along at them sounding like an old married couple. I very much look forward to continuing this series.
A Eventual Trainwreck, but 1 where I’ll be damned if Doc doesn’t save the day again..
I’m not sure what exactly it is about the old west & characters like Doc Holliday & Wyatt Earp, etc but after watching a a few solid western movies, I dig it. Now, you might be wondering why I mentioned old western movies for example Tombstone when this is clearly a book.. well here’s why I started my review that way. First when I saw that this book was about Doc Holliday, my mind went to Val Kilmer in that movie dying of tuberculosis. So with that being said, I envision & thankfully so does M.M. Crumley (I’m fairly certain) does as well, the same type of person before Señora Teadora saves him from imminent death. This book, expands upon this interesting & flawed character while he tries to do the right thing.. (I think)
Doc and Jury are in a bigger mess than they thought. Sophia is missing and the search is going nowhere. But they keep getting attacked and now both are wanted for murder. Everyone is after them. This book again has a good mystery, who is Bosch, what does he want, how do they stop him and clear their name, who can they trust and more. There is a lot of Doc’s background mentioned which helps with the story. The relationship between Doc and Jury is fantastic – the conversations can be hilarious at times. The supporting characters are all good and a lot are very entertaining as well. This book has a lot of action, humour, suspense, surprises and mystery. I wouldn’t call it an easy book because there is so much happening but it’s definitely a good read. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am sure I will enjoy the next book just as much.

This is the second book in the series and is just as good as the first one. Which did end on a cliffhanger, but the way it is written you can help yourself to reach the next one. Doc and Jury are still fighting to save the hidden, the only problem is that Jury's family gets tricked into helping the wrong side. Also to get away Doc makes a pass at Jury's mother, who hates him for all the trouble he has drugged her son into, which does not or too well. A lot of Doc and Jury bannter and Sofia turns out different than you think There is a lot of action and the hook keeps your interest. And it does end on a slight cliffhanger again, it is humous and makes you want to read the next goo to what Doc will get out of it.
So 2nd book in and I’m still hooked. Crumley’s way of mixing flashback of Doc’s past to tie into a scene and her overall building of this magical universe is wonderful! You’re giving pieces in context to build and better understand the wonderment an danger this world has to offer. While the fights scenes are NOT for children, the older readers will appreciate the dark humor sometimes expressed. On to book there.
Peace, Love, Bubba hugs and as always, Live Long an Prosper. Patrick
Even more awesome than book one! I loved this book! Doc is one of few characters that can go to a really dark place and still maintain levity and manage to not ruin the character. He reminds me of the old Highlander movie/tv show how he moves in and out of memories from different points in his long life. This book shows some flashbacks of his life from the 1960's and it is amazing. I am hooked for life. I am officially a Doc-Oholic!
What a fantastic read! I took a chance on this series as I was unfamiliar with the author .........LUCK was definitely with me as this was a wonderful read and brought a smile to my face. Great characters and dialogue. Can't wait for the third book in this series....in the meantime I am going to read Ms. Crumley's other books. The Immortal Doc Holliday series is a must read for urban fantasy fans!!
This was a fun one. I enjoyed it a lot more than the last one, now that I’ve become more acquainted with Doc and company. I like how seamlessly the Doc Holliday books flow into each other, judging by the previous book and the preview of the next. The world of the Hidden is so interesting, literally being hidden alongside our own. I’m looking forward to how Book 3 plays out.
Doc is an interesting character. I like to read fantasy, urban fantasy, and sci-fi and this is still one of the more interesting takes on the supernatural in the modern world. I have not looked but i will need to determine if there is another book in the series and see what trouble Doc, and the Hidden, gets into next.
I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised and with all the books I've read, it's hard to do. I'm a sucker for snark and witty banter, which is why I picked up these books to begin with. It could be more detailed in some areas but it is still an entertaining read.
Well who knew that I could truly enjoy a book full of legends from that would West but in a modern day setting. I certainly didn't. But I really really do. I cannot wait for the next book highly recommend.
This is one of the most entertaining series I've read. Doc stole my heart in the first few pages. Filled with interesting, diverse, entertaining and humorous characters. These books will suck you into their world, so don't read right before bedtime. Unless you're prepared to go without sleep.
This was quite a fun read. I much preferred it to the first. A couple of laugh out loud bits. The relationship between Doc and Jury is fun reading. I will definitely be reading the next one
This series keeps getting better and better. Getting some of the past for Doc is lots of fun. Having the peices finally click into place is great. On to the next one!!!
Forget everything you think you know about Doc Holliday, this one, is one of a kind. The back and forth banter between him and Jury is so real. It's a joy to read, will keep you entertained front to back.
Doc and Jury are priceless together. Their banter is hilarious! And, no spoilers, but that scene with Jury’s family? I laughed myself into a coughing fit.
Off I go to the next installment. I can’t get enough!
Book one was fab, book 2 is better and I can’t wait for more. My face hurts from smiling and I’ve laughed out loud in a way no book has managed since The Discworld sadly came to a close.
Doc and Jury are trying to find out why the acolytes and the witches are both trying to either kill or imprison him, at the same time. Someone is pulling the strings but who?. Good Read.
