I really loved this book.

I’ve been waiting for this book for so long, and I’m not disappointed.

Sapphic poly books are so rare, especially ones that are well-written, and I’m glad this one is part of that small group. Seeing the 3 MC's in a group relationship but also having one-on-one time without jealousy or third-wheeling, was so refreshing.

I loved how most of the book had good communication. Even when I thought something might go wrong, Sonia, Cassandra, and Elise always worked it out.

I have to say the last part kinda deflated me. The drama felt like it came too late, and it made the HEA a little less enjoyable for me.

Overall, if you’re into poly romance with a BDSM theme (not too heavy), plus age gap and workplace romance, this is for you.

Author, if you ever see this review, please answer this question for me 🙈👇🏻

Well, I loved this. More than I expected to. Its not perfect, the ending is a bit rushed, but damn did I enjoy the overall package. This book took an unusual route and was quite different from a lot of the romances that I have read in the past, but it pulled me in and made me very happy that I was reading it. I highly recommend, and I think most readers would enjoy this novel. If I was going to describe this in as few words as possible it would be delightful, heartwarming, and caring.

This is a polyamory novel (as I’m sure you can tell) which might not be everyone’s cup of tea, however I think this would be a really good introduction to that dynamic for a reader who hasn’t given it a go in the past. It goes slowly and eases you into things in a way that makes the content of the novel accessible, and I really liked that.

Although this initially seemed like it would just be a spicy little treat (awesome) I was surprised and delighted to see how much affection, care and connection the characters showed for each other. There was the married couple who were “truly goals” and wonderful together, but also the way that they included Sonia and clearly were interested in her for far more than just bedroom activities. The relationship dynamics at play were a lot of fun as each one was a little different and they all fit together so nicely. I feel like proper words are failing me; this was just really nice.

Obviously, it was spicy. As expected, there was plenty, and it was very well done. Their dynamic was a lot of fun (double domme’s) and I think the author used the premise well (although there could always be more).

What stood out for me in this novel was the degree of communication and genuine care that the characters had for each other. This novel includes BDSM, group sex, and a bunch of other things, but it also demonstrates the perfect example of how to navigate these topics in a healthy manner, which far too many books fail at. If there was going to be a single novel featuring BDSM that someone was to read and use to form opinions of the topic, I think this would be a great contender. There was a considerable amount of talking (on and off the page) before the action could take place and extensive discussions of boundaries, expectations, safe words, respect, consent. Etc.. A clever balance of on-and-off-page content meant that these important things were all present without bogging down the novel and killing its momentum. There was clearly a lot of trust present, which added a surprising amount of enjoyment to a scene about [censored, hah].

If I am nitpicking ill say that the ending section was underwhelming and felt like the author was rushing to finish. Honestly, some of those chapters were like 3 pages long and resolved multiple plotlines…. not ideal. The amount of buildup for certain plot elements did not align with the ease in which they were resolved. I DID enjoy that there wasn’t any (or low) pointless drama, but I did think that there could have been more than we got considering all of the elements at play in this novel.

Oh, and there was a cute cat. Didn’t get enough screen time but I loved them nonetheless.

Absolutely sweet.

I don't think I read the whole synopsis. The cover was well chosen because the colours just drew me in. And the little details that reflect some of the moments from the book. Very thoughtful.

Love is sweet. Love shared is probably sweeter. So Sonia, Elise, and Cassandra were well-written. How they fit in with each other was really good. I could easily understand Sonia's reservations because the already established love and commitment between Elise and Cassandra could definitely invoke jealousy.

If you are open to polyamory love, this one is a good book to check out. I don't think this is a debut, but I think the author is young because of how well Sonia was written since she was the POV of the book. Though she did wonderfully with how both Elise and Cassandra handled and guided Sonia.

I loved it.

2/5 - sapphic, poly, contemporary, age-gap, mc-has-cat. This one didn’t work for me. I bought into the lust, but not the love—it had good spice, but that was about it. I just didn’t particularly get why these two beautiful, successful, older women were all wrapped up in 25 y/o Sonia. I think some of the softer moments could’ve happened earlier in the story to help me buy into it more, and the third act conflict happened way too late for a satisfying resolution in my opinion. Last note: Sonia has a cat that we barely hear anything about, which feels like a crime to me!

1/5 stars. No spoilers.

This book was created in a lab to annoy me in every way possible. Personally I would sooner sit naked on concrete than let two white women keep me as their pet chihuahua, but the MC is different than me I guess.

Fuck you Jackie for making me read this.

I believe this is my first official read after publishing. In short, I’m quite pleased :) Glad I wrote it!

Ps. Grayson was with the neighbor while Sonia was away for anyone wondering.

it was kinda boring, and the characters didn’t really have any chemistry… there was also no tension or buildup, their relationship was very much underdeveloped…could’ve been better.

"By now you should know that I have an expensive taste. And nothing tastes better to me than a woman who knows her worth."

Now I need to find hot married lesbians that want a third🙌🏾cause NEED that

Okay straight up, that late breakup threw me off, and while the why is understandable I guess. . . This should’ve been done earlier and not at the 90% mark. With it being done so late(and kind of out of no where as things were good communication wise), conflict and resolution felt rushed when the past buildup should’ve had this more fleshed out; the 1-2 page chapters are a hurtful contribution to this.

The reconciliation speeches between them all was very mature and real. I absolutely loved all of their relationships with each other and that’s usually rare for me in poly relationship books as the chemistry isn’t fluid or even, but that wasn’t a problem with Sonia, Elise, and Cassandra. Because of the adoration I had with these characters personalities and individual connections, I wished some of their conversations or actions were on paper in depth and not recounted, I feel it would’ve added another layer. Thought I still felt satisfied with what we received in their shared relationship.

Departing Thoughts

-The DATESSS had me swooninggg

-Wished we got to see Sonia and Fred friendship more since she mentioned him being a big help but I dead was forgetting about the man until he popped up with tea and congrats 😭.

- "I respect your wishes as I always have, Sonia. I think you should know that, no matter what, I believe in your success. You have so much potential, that's clear to see. Your spirit and intelligence and perspective. You've been refreshing in my sometimes-stuffy world.
There's much to be discovered that you'll have to do on your own. But I would wait for you to bloom. Cassandra would too. We'd give you the support you needed, emotionally and otherwise. That was all we wanted to do."

this was too beautiful

The touching on real topics that can bring up issues is so important and the process of working through them. I’m glad the author had wrote time skips with Sonia acknowledging that she was a problem when she was in self-destructive mode. But also how she never belittled their feelings but of how she convinced herself not to.
Sometimes too much self-awareness can be just as bad as a lack of.
Cassandra is very outgoing but I also believe it’s because Elise was just as straight forward.
I loved the subtle but core values of the BDSM aspect. Contract, consent, and after care. Every one is different but the weekly meeting was a great add in this book.
I loved the pace of the book. Not super fast you can tell this has happened over the course of months towards a year (with time skips)
I was glad I chose this as my first sapphic to read (novel wise)

This book has it all—joy, fear, trust, heartbreak, passion, and so much more!** I absolutely loved following Sonia’s journey as she grows and evolves, especially how her relationship shapes her into a stronger, more self-aware person. The story beautifully captures how past loves can leave deep scars and fears that echo in future relationships, making it painfully relatable yet hopeful. If you enjoy emotionally rich stories with raw honesty, steamy moments, and real personal growth, **this one will stay with you long after the last page.** Highly recommend!

I’m not usually into stories with open relationships or triad dynamics, but this one really surprised me in the best way. The relationship between Cassandra and Elise felt grounded and emotionally believable. The writing didn’t just lean on the spice (though trust me, it’s there and it’s 🔥), it actually took the time to show real connection and emotional stakes. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. If you’re into sapphic romance and looking for something different but still satisfying, this one’s worth it.

Firstly, this book was freaking stars! I was hooked from the beginning and read 75% in one sitting.

This story was beautifully written. This follows a married couple who invite a submissive into their relationship. One happens to be the main characters boss.

This shows truly how all woman had their own bonds but bonds with one another. It truly showed the proper Dom/sub dynamic. It showed the MC’s reluctance in this relationship and reluctance within herself too.

I devoured this story and will reread it yearly.

I really really enjoyed reading this book and did not want to stop reading it. The build up between the characters were great and I loved seeing how their relationships evolved. Although I was not the biggest fan of the ending. As someone who lives near Allentown I cannot fathom why someone would come here from NYC! Unless you are looking to be shot at, robbed, stabbed or get your vehicle damaged by people riding ATVs on the street. Otherwise this was a great book!

Beautiful

I’m not typically interested in reading about open relationships but this was such a great book. The way the author laid out and explored the relationship was really well done. If you’re like me and only read sapphic romance then I highly recommend it. The spice is unmatched while still staying human and not carried away.

I found this book on TikTok and knew I had to read it. I can say that it was very much worth it. I loved the ride of the women's relationship, the ups and downs. The writing was well done, and the characters were beautifully written. I feel like I fell in love with all of these women while I was reading.

Loved it. The relationship between these women were so well written. I would literally let Cassandra and Elise do pretty much whatever they wanted to me. Loved the steamy parts and I'm actually really really hoping for a sequel. You can have my first born in exchange 🥺

I really enjoyed this book and it was lovely to read another sapphic polyamorous book because they're few and far between. Character's were a treat to read and there was no shortage of spice on this one, perhaps a little too much at times but overall a good read.

I dove into this book expecting intrigue, maybe scandal—but what I found was something much bigger. The moment Sonia walks into that publishing house, still carrying the weight of her past failures, I felt a pull. Then comes Cassandra (and her wife), poised, powerful, and offering an unconventional door. When it opens, everything shifts.

Watching Sonia, Cassandra, and Elise navigate this triangle—work ambitions, secret desires, heavy history—it felt like being up close in a mirror. The way Sonia tries to prove herself, the way Cassandra’s fascination isn't just about attraction but recognition, and Elise’s quiet strength anchoring the dynamic—it all landed. The smut is bold, yes, but it’s the emotional currency underneath that made me feel it. When Cassandra says, “It was exactly what I desired,” I understood that longing.

The power‑play of boss/assistant married couple/third, the age‑gap, the career crossroads—they could’ve felt gimmicky. But Johnson writes them with honesty. There are moments of doubt, of real talk about boundaries and consent, of “What am I worth?” and “What do I want?” And that made the scenes between them more than just spice—they became transformation.

If I’m being candid, parts of the plot felt familiar—office romance, shift in power, catch‑me‑if‑you‑can—but what lifted this book above was the connection. I believed Sonia. I believed Cassandra and Elise. I believed their messy tangle of attraction, uncertainty, ambition and care. The book had me rooting for them, aching for them, and yes, staying up far too late because I couldn’t put it down.
