Rate this book
A powerful, moving true story from Sunday Times bestseller, Maggie Hartley, Britain's most-loved foster carer.

When Jazmin was 13, she asked to be taken into care. She was fed up with her mum Nicola's flakey behaviour, her drinking and her relationships with men who would threaten Jazmin. After spending her teenage years in care, at 18 she is settled, with her own place and a new job as a teaching assistant. With an on-and-off relationship with her mum, she can't help feel concerned when she hears Nicola is pregnant again.

Desperate for a real relationship with her new half-sister, Pearl, Jaz is hopeful the baby will provide a second chance for her mum. But when history starts to repeat itself, Jaz is forced to step in and, with Maggie's help, make a decision that will change the rest of her life...

A Sister For Christmas. by Maggie Hartley.
This is a great read (again) by Maggie Hartley. So heartwarming …
Jasmine when she was young was taken into care … her mother was into alcohol and drugs .. so was brought up in the system … years later she is aware of her mother having another child … who in only a few months of her birth is being neglected… Jasmine takes things into her own hands.
Maggie ends up with the baby and the story continues .. but not to spoil it .. you will have to read it and see what happens.

Amazing

This book brought tears to my eyes. Being a previous foster parent myself, as well as being in a kinship foster situation, I can relate to so many aspects of this story. I admire how strong ebony of the sisters is.

Wow!!! Today I Picked This Book Up After A Huge Slump And I Literally Haven't Put It Down! Although The Actual Story For Jazmin & Pearl Started Very Sad With A Lot Of Faith From Maggie Things Worked Out For The Better.

This was a really great read!! I love Jazmins devotion to her baby sister! You normally see older siblings not take much interest with such a huge age gap!
