Invisible Girls Club #13

Drama Queens Don’t Fall For Charming Boys

Rate this book
Every drama queen deserves the spotlight.

I’m the drama queen. My friends claim I throw things out of proportion sometimes and maybe they’re right. Because I totally lose my cool when I learn Declan Hart is starring opposite me in the school play. I hate the guy’s guts. You would too if you had the kind of history I have with him. Teen girls might melt when the charming movie star smiles, but not me.

I have no choice but to endure it and put on the performance of my life.

But with all the drama we cause during rehearsals, our director forces us to spend time together. Soon I find myself inviting him to my house and learning more about him. I guess hanging out with him isn’t so terrible. Actually, it’s pretty fun…and I might be falling for him. All that stuff about our bad history? It seems I might have blown that one out of proportion, too.

Drama Queens Don’t Fall for Charming Boys is the thirteenth book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this book is for you!

I have enjoyed every single book in this series, and I am really invested in it because it always bring me a good mood

In this book we will follow Mia, she is an actress and she wants to spend her semister in highschool starring in a new play written by her drama teacher, and the male lead is none other than Declan Hart, he is a heart throb and a very famous actor .. and Mia's first kiss .. well, onscreen kiss, but the kiss was so horrible that they fired him
but now they have to put their differences aside to make this play work ..
there is match making and a lot of sweeteness going around in this book
I like this twist on enemies to lovers/sort of second chance lovers trope
I really can't say anything bad about this series, the sweet vibe is all I ever look for in books, I really hope this series never ends because I like it so much :)

***Spoilers here and there***

All I know is …….. I want a book with Brock … I’m curious about him and his story…. And will he and Lexi ever be friends again or more!

To see at the end that Brock and Lexi going to get their own book. I can’t wait because I would like to see both of them happy again.

But anyways; I loved both Declan and Mia together. As usual Tiffany wait? 😂 yes Tiffany will be a hater like her aunt. I would like to see Paisley ever gets her happy ending since she’s stop acting like crazy towards the musketeers and their kids.

Because Tiffany acts just like her aunt. I was glad when Declan realize how horrible of a person she was when she talked bad about Mia.

What got me was Mia… and her taking things to the extreme and not thinking before she assume things. She definitely was miss drama. Because drama she was but not in a bad way….

I was glad to see both she and Declan worked things out and ended up together…

Cute but took a while

Honestly, by the end I liked Declan and Mia, but geez. Mia sure got on my nerves for the first quarter of the book and after their kiss too. She's a bit too dramatic, to the point she could seriously have affected Declan's life! 😱
To accuse someone of physically hurting you and also try to kick them off their role? Yeah, not cool Mia. And them to shun him just because SHE'S uncomfortable...smh
Lucky for her Declan is more understanding and forgiving them I lol
He was honestly so sweet and adorable 🫠
One their friendship started growing, I was loving their chemistry too and enjoying how they messed around. Both are so dramatic, between them and Ash I was laughing out loud 🤣
Wish we'd learned just exactly what went down with Declan's sequel before because I thought Mia had, in fact, made sure he wasn't invited back but she claimed otherwise 😅
But as usual, we get our cute happily ever after and I loved it 😄
Next up....Brock, the little punk lol

I had to dive back into this series and finish the next gen, I forgot how cute all of the characters were. I felt like I flew through this book. Yes it was YA but I enjoyed it. I found that I didn’t want to put the book down. Declan and Mia were the sweetest enemies to lovers. Normally I hate the miscommunication trope, but Emma Dalton does a really good job of not dragging it out. I felt like the chemistry was strong throughout the entire book and I loved how they focused on building up a friendship and then it was just natural to go from there. I loved seeing all the characters from the previous books again and diving back into the world of Edenbury. It felt like I never left,

Het was oke hoor. Wel ongelooflijk dat ze fucking 16 zijn... Wow... Het voelde niet langdradig, maar het tempo mocht wel wat vlotter. Er was geen sprake van haat, gewoon een voorgeval dat voor verkeerde indrukken zorgde. Daarna lange vriendschap. De gevoelens kwamen best laat. En er zaten onnodige scènes is.

See, when I read the previous IGC (Invisible Girls Club) book, I just knew we'd be reading about how Mia fell in love with the guy who stole her first kiss.

Honestly, I was more excited to read about two theater kids falling in love more than the kiss because as a theater kid myself and a current film student, I love the representation. However, I did try my utter best to dive into this book without a single bias. Was it hard? Heck yeah. Did I manage? Also yes.

This book was HILARIOUS! I know I say that each of these books is a romcom but if you want some good, laugh out loud, chaotic humor, then look no further than this book because I laughed so hard while reading this! It’s a theater romance (if you can’t figure it out by the title or the blurb) with a sprinkling of enemies to lovers. Mia and Declan’s story was definitely one for the stage. The jokes, mini-adventures, banter! It’s exactly what you need and their chemistry was on fire! It didn’t exactly feel like a slow burn to me but I didn’t mind all the same because the story made up for it.

I wish I could say more about this book in this review. However, this is a spoiler-free review because I would HATE to ruin the experience of reading this book for you. So, go pick it up, and come find me when you’re finished!
