Ivy has came back to Holly Creek to help her best friend Anna and brother Nick with their wedding. Back in high school she left her family, her friends and her boyfriend behind. She followed another man to set up an art gallery in the city. Unfortunately, he used her, and she was left heart broken and unable to trust anyone anymore. When she runs into Adam her past high school sweetheart, the feelings return. But this time she's cautious. Adam bares his heart to Ivy but Ivy is determined to leave the past in the past, not wanting to risk her heart again. But when their feelings for each other start to confuse Adams daughter even he decides that maybe they really can't be together!

This book will pull you in, you will fall in love with Adams character and likely get frustrated with Ivys. But hang in there, this book is worth reading and waiting to see how their story unfolds!

Ivy returns to her hometown after being cheated out of her art gallery by her ex, and having her heart shattered. Unfortunately, returning home means seeing her brother's best friend, and her high school boyfriend, Adam. Adam now runs the local bakery, and has an adorable 8 year-old daughter, Nora.

Ivy has a lot of hurt to work through to help her and Adam get their HEA.

This story was great overall, but does suffer from the "regular" short story issue of trying to fit a lot into a few pages, which makes it sometimes a bit difficult to follow time jumps between scenes and it makes it difficult to really get to know the characters as well as you'd like.

Ivy returns to Holly Creek for the wedding of her BFF Anna and her brother Nick. She had left there years ago for a chance to make her artist dreams come true. She left her boyfriend Adam behind and broke his heart. She returns to find that Adam now has a daughter, Nora, and is a widower. Adam remodeled and owns Miller's Cake Store. Ivy helps Anna plan her wedding and along the way she spends time with Adam and Nora. The cake order is canceled, and Ivy convinces Adam to make the wedding cake and they will decorate it together.

When Ivy leaves town to purse her art career she had no idea that it would end in hardship for her. She is back in town to help with her best friend's and brother's wedding which has her reconnecting with her high school sweetheart as well. Adam still has feelings for Ivy which is evident in their time together, but she wants to go on to pursue having her career with her own art gallery. Will she leave Adam again for her career. This story kept me glued to the pages.

I have never read anything by Kit O'Neal before, OMG this was fantastic!! Ivy leaves town right after high school for art school and another man; to set up an art gallery in the city. Adam had been her high school sweetheart, and she broke his heart. Ivy returns to town to help her best friend Anna plan her wedding. She runs into Adam who owns the town bakery, are the old feelings still their? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. O'Neal!!!

Strange Esacapes

The big question is why did ivy always feel she had to leave again. She lived chick and he lived her . she had been gone a long time for no apparent reason and when she returned to town Nick was hopeful. What was she afraid of. Will she stay this time and share the love. Read and see!!!

This is the first book of Kit O'Neal that I have read it was a lovely story about love. Ivy just has to figure out were is wants to be most. If you are looking for sweet romance than you will love this book. There is a enough drama with everything to do with the wedding and Ivy trying to figure out what she really wants.

This book brings me the romance, humor, anxiety, interesting characters and cute story line that I have learned to expect from a Kit O’Neal book. This was an enjoyable read and I look forward to her next book.
