In the form of an overbearing stage mom who only cares about my ballet career. After an incident colors my entire way of thinking, I’m ready to break away from her.
From everything. Including dance.
I’m a phoenix, rising from the ashes, and I can smell the freedom when I head to Texas to start over.
Will I ever find my desire to dance again?
Or will a certain broody protector open my mind to other passions?
Hawk
I have mommy issues.
And I don’t want to talk about it.
When my friend Cam’s younger cousin moves to Texas, she needs a place to stay, so I open my home to her. I know she’s off limits. Way off limits.
But she’s such a tempting little morsel. Bright and funny to my dark and brooding. It would never work.
Not that I want it to work. That’s the last thing I want.
Falling for my best friend’s cousin is forbidden, and I refuse to think otherwise.
After all, there’s no way innocent little Mallori would share my depraved tastes. There’s no way she would want to enter my Den of Sin.
I have been eagerly awaiting and anticipating Hawks story since the first moment his name was mentioned in the series.
And let me tell you what, my friends…. This book was worth the wait!! It’s both a work of art written to page and a compelling story that will have you gripping your seat and enjoying the journey from start to finish…. Possibly even clutching your pearls and blushing multiple times throughout. ((Ehhhh, you feeling me, my reader friends 💋🫠🔥💦🥰))
🚒 Make sure to have a fire extinguisher close by because you are going to need it for the sweltering flames that are thrown all throughout this riveting masterpiece created by the amazing Jade Dollston! And your panties might be blazing… 🥵 ________
The story follows Hawk and Mallori & their connection is completely undeniable, though there are too many factors in the way for them to pursue any form of relationship rather than being roommates. Hawk had that undeniable fear of potentially ruining his friendship with his circle of friends (Mal is forbidden) and Mal has recently been through he!l In a hand basket between her family dynamic stressors and some tragic situations that have very recently occurred.
How will these two learn to lean on one another for support, without crossing that forbidden boundary ?! I mean, they are roomies and they do need to be there for each other…. Right?…..
——— This story was both hilariously funny, where I was at one point laughing so hard I was crying… and then the 180 opposite of full on crying because my heart was literally breaking and I was left empathizing with certain situations that happened throughout.
Jade truly knows how to pull readers in and give them both a beautiful story with such a broad range of emotions, that will leave you craving page after page with her flawless writing style. I love where your mind takes us, Jade Dollston! Way to go! BRAVO!!! This is one heck of a story and the whole series has taken a piece of my heart! I’m so sad it’s over… but also so happy that I have every book in the series on my trophy shelf for lifetime easy access!!!
Love you all - you FIERCE PROTECTOR MEN!! Keep on keeping on, you sexy sons of beautiful man meat && my muffin man!!
I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES ENOUGH 6/5⭐️
Well, with a heavy heart I am writing this review, first because this series has come to an end and next this is Hawk, the broody , scary , I will break you if you mess with my friends protector, whose story took off in such a different direction that I was not not not expecting at all. And finally cause this feels like an end of an era where I need to say good bye to these amazing men and close this completely, yep I am not ready for it. And I will with Jade eating twix in the corner, wanting more of this crazy , amazing men and their families.
Coming to the book " hey bhagwan" that's oh my god in Hindi, Hawk and Mallori, Mallori who is Cam's cousin who moved to Texas after a really sad and awful experience back home is forced to live with our man hawk when her accommodations fall through. And then hellloooo, what happens holy smokes, as I said earlier this one goes on such a different way. Hawk is not how he is with Mallori and Mallori is the one we want in Hawk's life. I mean Mallori= Me let's just get that out of the way. She is me , I am here. No more arguing! I truly adore and love Mallori so much , you are her forever cheerleader in everything that she does. Keep a fire extinguisher handy , as this will definitely burn your kindle and it is absolutely worth it. Hawk surprises the hell out of us like no one's business. I mean the mouth on that man and the insane way he is with Mallori, this roomates to lovers just took on a whole new level and I personally can't wait for everyone to read it. These 2 are definitely my top 3 couples from this series. All day everyday!
Jade you know you smashed this out of the park you made me fall in love with all these amazing Fierce Protectors and my life has never been the same. I love you too pieces and adore you to death! I can't believe it's over . They are done. Ok I'm going and crying now. Read this banger of a book, it's amazing.
I want to personally thank Jade Dollston for bringing me into the Den of Sin, and having Hawk give me a personal tour. Because, hot dayum!!!! She's teased us for books - I'm talking more than one, more than two, more than three, four and five books - with Hawk and his Den of Sin. And now we finally have the man in all of his glory. And what a glorious man he is - every inch of him. *oh-humm*
My flabbers are just ghasted!
Bringing myself back from the recesses of my daydreams about Hawk, let me just say this: I think that this might be my favorite book in the Fierce Protectors series. Yes, yes, I said it. I said it. I've loved every book, every character - and I love all of the fierce protectors, Tank especially. Ohhhh Tank, how I love him. Buttttttt..... Hawk.
Just, Hawk.
Hawk and Mallori's story is just so... everything. Jade achieved so many things with this book, she began by making me completely lose my $hit in the first few chapters - I hate Karen, like hate-hate her. And I hate how everything happened in the beginning of this book - not the book or characters or writing, but what was happening to Mallori. Jade achieves yet again to evoke my every sense because I began this book by being so pissed off.... like beyond. But then as Mallori makes her moves and we're brought back to Texas to the found family that we love there - ohhhh how I love every single character that Jade has created for us. They are amazing!!! And in this book, we get all of them. But as the story progresses, Jade brings me from being pissed to being happy, sad, hot, laughing my a$$ off, and more.
But this is the story of Mallori and Hawk. Mallori is of course a fierce MFC - she's so smart and funny and beautiful. Jade has a special knack for writing special, unique, strong and beautiful MFC and Mallori is one of my favorites. And Hawk... oh Hawk. I think you may have just moved Tank aside as my favorite Jade Dollston MMC. I think you may have. And Lakshmi, move aside: Hawk is ALL mine!!! For now and forever, he's all mine.
We thought we knew Hawk from the previous books - we certainly saw enough glimpses of him and heard enough about his Den of Sin, but oh-my-gawd! Nothing truly prepared me for this man! He's incredible in every way. He's the fiercest of protectors! He's a beautiful human being, inside and out. He's loyal, smart, so strong, sensitive, intuitive, and deep. And his and Mal's story is... everything! And just as I said that Jade evoked all of my senses, beginning with anger, let's just say that while reading this masterpiece she yet again made me so hungry (Jade, please write a cookbook next), so hot and bothered, so edged, gasping for breath, on the edge of my seat, and at times I could even SMELL the scene before me. And that first smexy scene between Hawk and Mallori, woman!!! Jade!! Are you kidding me???? That is by far your semexiest scene - ever! I'm still fanning my cheeks over here. Phewww. That was... that was so amazing. I needed a cigarette after it.
10 millions stars for Hawk and Mallori and a special thank you to Jade for creating Hawk just for me! Thank you, thank you - bite me Lakshmi - thank you Jade! I love him so much. <3
I was not ready to say goodbye to the Fierce Protector Series, and after this.....I most definitely AM NOT. This is Hawk's story, you know, the quiet, dark broody one with his Den of Sin? Well, I hearby, am on bended knee at that Den of Sin, and I will worship there every single god damn day!! Did I mention I feel that Mallori could be loosely based on me. We are both blonde (don't come at me because it is out of a bottle covering grey hair), both dancers (not ballet in my case, but I do have dance medals for latin, ballroom and new vogue), and think Hawk has lightness and is worthy of love. Yes I meant to skip over the height thing, oh and the age thing.........
Mallori is the cousin to Cam, one of the earlier covered in this series. Mallori has an extremely overbearing stage Mum (think Dance Moms on Netflix or Mommie Dearest movie, if you are old like me). There is a traumatic event that as her realising she needs to get away, and leave the dancing behind. The move sees her moving in with, our resident tall, dark and handsome, Hawk.
Little is known about Hawk, okay all the sexplotations we know about (if you have read the other books), but deep down I knew there was more to Hawk, or Tate, than just that room and those piercings. He has been broken by things from his past, and his extremely protective (see what I did there) of his privacy and those things/people he holds dear. Mallori comes in like this breath of fresh hair Hawk didn't think he needed, or want, as Hawk doesn't believe he will ever have love, or believe he is worthy of love. One incident has Mallori questioning that the man who sits beside her and enjoy Chuck Norris movies is whom she has been led to believe, but has he unravels, and she lets down her walls.....well hold on, get that room cold and keep the tissues close. There is ALOT of delicious spicy moments, where I could not read this at work (for fear of self combustion) and there was some truly heart breaking moments where tissues for those tears were needed. There is always laughter with all the other characters we have met along the way, but this had all the feels and was so much better than I ever believed possible. But Jade, please don't make us say goodbye. Oh, and Hawk, HE IS MINE. Thorunn and Lakshmi, I will fight you both, with one arm tied behind my back for him. I come from and grew up in Highbury IYKYK, played bullrush at school, and trust me we are bred tough here in NZ.
The end of the Fierce Protectors era, and what an ending it was! Did I want this series to end? No, but I think saving Hawk for last was the perfect way to wrap up this amazing series!
Throughout the FP series, we always saw Tate “Hawk” Gentry in the background; a big, broody grump with…interesting and darker sexual preferences. But, he was always watching and observing from the background and missed nothing, even if he wasn’t always up for talking to everyone. He still loved his boys, and their ladies, like family and treated them that way. Especially Cam Fitz, who is his best friend of the group. So, when Cam’s cousin moves to the area and needs a place to stay, Hawk is happy to offer his place so that she has somewhere safe to land. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) for Hawk, Mallori Fitz dances her way into his life and begins doing the impossible–knocking down all of Hawk’s careful constructed walls. Mallori grew up…sheltered, to say the least, so she wasn’t expecting Cam’s friend Tate to be…well, a man! But, she also never felt scared or unsafe with Hawk, so she had no problem staying with him after realizing that he was a man. As Mal and Hawk spent more time together and got to know each other more, they became great friends, but that just made their attraction to each other harder to deny. Okay, so Hawk did a little more denying than Mal, but eventually they gave in to each other and the passion and chemistry was absolutely explosive!
Mallori was such a freaking sweetheart and didn’t let her sheltered life (or her crazy mother) get her down! She was still always putting on a smile for everyone and making others smile too–even the eternally stoic Hawk Gentry! Mal took the time to get to know Hawk and she learned to trust him enough to let her guard down with him. It was amazing to watch her open up to him and trust him after living so many years without real trust in people because of how she grew up with her mother. She was always willing to…experiement with Hawk after their relationship grew into something more than friendship, and it was nice to watch her gain the trust in Hawk to be able to do more wild things with him.
Hawk. Gentry!!! Oh, my lort that man could set any woman’s panties aflame, and he certainly did it well! He could lure any woman into his Den of Sin, and we'd all go more than willingly! But, despite his deliciously filthy mouth and…more out their sexual needs and preferences, it was so nice being able to see him open up to Mal and let out his sweet, teddy bear side of himself. With his boys, he was only ever this deviant and stoic grump, but when Mal came into his life, he opened himself up to trusting her and letting her bring his walls down. Hawk went through a lot in his life, and his mother wasn’t great (one of the things he had in common with Mal), but he learned with Mal that not all women are as untrustworthy as his mother and he could let someone into his heart.
This story made me laugh with all the amazing banter between Mal and Hawk, and between Hawk and his boys. This story made me sweat with the amazing spice. And, this story made me cry because it had so many emotionally profound moments. This story had it all and I’m going to miss these characters and this series immensely. I can’t wait to see what Jade has in store for us next, though!
Quotes I Loved:
"I was like a phoenix rising from the ashes, still a small fledgling, but getting stronger every day. Spreading my wings in preparation to fly." -Mallori
"How the hell did tiny little Mallori look larger than life when she moved? I was absolutely sucked in by her. Little Bee was fucking stunning, and I found myself unable to look away." -Hawk
"I hid my own grin and vowed to myself to annoy Hawk Gentry's bossy ass as often as possible." -Mallori
"I craved control in my encounters. No, I needed it. Although what I required even more than control was respect. That was the ultimate turn on for me...a woman willing to do anything I asked of her." -Hawk
"I'd had no doubt that Hawk would be good at the sexual stuff, having seen him in action for a brief time in the Den of Sin, but dayum! I hadn't expected to feel so overpowered, despite me being on top. But every thrust of his hips and clench of his fingers told me without a doubt that he was a sex god, fallen to Earth for exactly this purpose. To please a woman." -Mallori
"I was mesmerized. Lost. She held me spellbound with a pair of aqua irises, like she was a siren with the power to suck me into her soul with merely a stare." -Hawk
I loved this book. After the hint we got in Love Without Influence I couldn’t wait for Hawk’s story. Hawk was a retired military hero and Mallori’s cousins best friend. After offering Mallori a temporary place to stay, they realize how easy their connection is.
Hawk and Mallori both had some past trauma they were trying to overcome but were struggling with. The way they were able to confide in and trust one another was so sweet. They started an easy (and hilarious) friendship despite their age difference and you could see how great they are for one another. After they finally decided to let go 😉, the spice, tension, and chemistry were so good! I loved their relationship and the way they helped each other. Great read. As always, check for TWs and happy reading!
Hawk. What a hunk of a man. He is definitely a ladies man and never attached. Women get a taste when he takes them to the den of sin until Mallori… Mallori is Cam’s cousin and had been sheltered by her mother. Moving in with Cam to start over she is excited for a new start. Bring on a mishap at the house and she finds herself with Hawk as a roommate. I enjoyed watching them both grow closer and find their peace in each other.
Damaged Protector by Jade Dollstron ✨ARC Book Review✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I'm crying! This book (and the whole series) was so beautiful, and I'm so sad that it's over. Hopefully, we'll get the children's stories… 😉
I read this book in a day because it was impossible to put down. I absolutely loved Mallori and Hawk!
Every time a new book comes out, I think, "This one is my favorite," but Mallori and Hawk truly might be. I love how protective he is over her and how strong she is, having survived so many things without letting them change who she is. I'm especially glad she was able to break away from her controlling mother to find what she truly wanted to do. Plus, her sass is just delightful!
The character cameos were an absolute delight, as always! I love their interactions together and how they are one big family. They always make me laugh, and I love that nothing is filtered with them.
And that ending with the family trees! I definitely cried. I loved reading this series and watching these characters grow along the way. I'll definitely miss them.
But seriously, Jade can do no wrong! Her writing is always amazing. I highly recommend reading all her books. Please go pick up this series—you won’t regret it!
Tropes: 💚 Age Gap Hawk is 34. Mallori is 24. 💚 Forced Proximity She’s staying with him since new to Texas. 💚 Best Friend’s Cousin Cousin of Cam (Deadly Protector) and Collin (Indecent Ventures by AK Landow) 💚 Former Military Hawk was a Navy Seal. 💚 Dominant MMC ‘I craved control in my encounters.’ 💚 Forbidden Romance 💚 Hawk’s Den of Sin Nickname for Hawk’s bedroom due to his special kinks.
Tate "Hawk" Gentry gives off the bad boy vibes. He is a man of few words, who hasn’t even shared a lot of his family trauma with his closest friends. Mallori Anne Fitz is a former Ballerina who has decided on a life change after a traumatic event. They came into each other’s lives at the right time and truly understand each other. Hawks ability to be both protective and sensitive is swoonworthy. I especially love his bond with all the kids 😍 Mallori has the kindest soul and I loved her character as she supported Hawk in all the ways he didn’t even know he needed. I also like when the FMC is less experienced and and those steamy scenes were on fire 🔥
This had all the elements of a 5 star read, I laughed, cried, and my heart melted many times. Seeing not just the HEA for Hawk but all our fierce protectors with their families just makes me smile. I love all the characters and enjoyed every word of this journey 🫶🏼
The phrase "Saved the best for last" is extremely appropriate in this situation. I have always been so obsessed with Jade's characters. I forget they aren't reality, that they are a work of fantastic fiction. I get enveloped into the story and swoon over the men. I've never been able to pick a favorite, and with every book Jade's characters become next level. They capture your heart, make you feel their feelings, make you fall in love with every single one. But Hawk? MF Tate Gentry? That man captured my soul. He dug his nails in and isn't letting go. His love and care for Mal, the way he protects her, his loyalty to his friends, his softness to his friends children and to his sister. Ugh, Double swoon. He's a huge teddy bear with a bit of darkness that will have you holding on for dear life. I shed true tears with this book, won't even lie. I've been here since the beginning and it's bittersweet to see our last man find his love. But boy, it was amazing. As always, so proud of the amazing Jade and her beautiful words.
I am so incredibly sad this series has ended but wow, it ended with a bang. Fantastic characters, great spice, interesting drama, and such a well written story. Hawk is such a beast of a man but he is such a closet sweetheart. I love the strength Mallori continues to have throughout the book and the witty banter is top notch. When Hawk answered his sister's phone call, I was busting up laughing. 10/10 would read again
I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily
I was so excited and sad at the same time, knowing this was the last book in the Fierce Protectors series, but boy did Jade do this so much justice.
I absolutely love Hawk and Mallori's journey. I've laughed, cried, got frustrated.. just wow! I've cried laughing and in the next moment had my heartstrings pulled.. I just absolutely loved it!
Hawk is a broody, dark man who is afraid of love because of certain things in his past...
Mallori is a brave, determined young woman who was sheltered and is finally breaking free of chains...
What will happen, will they make it? Go and read this phenomenal finale of the series, its so so worth it! Couldn't recommend this one enough!
I have enjoyed each and every book in this series (including where it all began 'Delay of Game'). This last instalment was just as good as the others. A beautiful love story about Mallori and Hawk, with cheeky banter, drama, excitement, and the sweet journey of love. Well done, once again Jade Dollston! Bravo!
This was the first book I read in this series, but it won't be my last. I will go back and read the others, and most likely even reread this one when the time comes.
I loved this book, simple as that. I don't know that I have smiled or laughed more at a book, than I did with Damaged Protector. I loved Hawk and Mallori. They are absolutely adorable and perfect together. Their story was cute, and I could not get enough.
I have been waiting for this story since picking up my first Jade Dollston book, and it did not disappoint. Mallori and Hawk were pure perfection and fire! I did not and could not put it down!
Damaged Protector was the perfect ending to an amazing series with each guy in the Fierce Protectors series getting their HEA.
It was nice to see Hawk fall. Mr. Grump and Broody. Mr. Sex Personified. Mr. I don't date, I f*ck. Mr. Falling in Love is not for me. My, my, my how the mighty have fallen. It's not that Hawk was incapable of love, having mommy issues lead him to believe that he wasn't worthy of love but it only took the right woman to open his eyes.
Cam’s cousin Mallori was an absolute sweetheart. She lived her life under her mother's thumb for as long as she can remember. A skilled ballerina/dancer whose education and dance career took a hit due to a predatory dance instructor who felt that Mallori owed him more than simply being an astatue pupil.
Both Hawk and Mallori had mommy baggage and it really caused them to be vulnerable and insecure when faced with interactions with the opposite sex. When a housing mishap results in Mallori staying with Hawk for the unforeseeable future things start to get interesting for both of them.
Hawk and Mallori had a sweet and spicy relationship but what made their union work is the fact that they became friends first. Mallori kept Hawk laughing to the point that not a day went by where he wasn't in her orbit. Mallori was in over her head because she was innocent and much younger than Hawk. Hawk was in over his head because he had certain desires that he knew were far beyond Mallori’s comprehension.
This story was full of Laughs, Love, Family, Sexual Awakening and New Beginnings. This was a perfect ending to a series full of swoon worthy characters you can't help but love. Over the course of this series we've witnessed the many facets of love and how it can be transforming. We watch couples come together, get married and start families of their own.
We end this series with the last single man standing, finally opening his heart to the possibilities of love and finding the perfect woman to embark upon this new journey with him.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ First thing, If you haven't read the series then I am openly judging you haha. Start it asap. This book had me in a tizzle. 1 because I have been literally dying for Hawks story from book 1 and 2 because I knew this will be the end of one of the most amazing series I've read. 😭 Hawk is the last of the found brothers to settle down, he doesn't believe he ever will but so did the others ha. I absolutely loved his secretive character and his den of sin. You knew there was darkness in him but he would lay his life down for those he loves. Mallory was such a sheltered woman and yet she was such an amazing human. Her mother has been emotionally abusing her and once she realised, she decided to take control. I loved how she showed strength and fought. Her character development was fantastic. In short words she had to stay at Hawks before her college and they started as friends. Their like for like personality and humourous banter started blooming. But she is Cam's cousin so she is off Limits with an age gap too. But love doesn't like being confined and these two were just beautiful together and bound to be doomed. I loved how it all developed slowly and how she bought out the gentle side of him to light. With an end in sight they had to accept whatever they have for now. Silly people. The spice between them was next level heat. Hawk was worth the wait. What I love about this series is that all the books involves the other characters and I love seeing where they all are in life. I love the warmth, togetherness, the love and the hilarious banter they have. Jade honestly makes you feel like you're part of the family and I absolutely love every single character. I cried because not only saying bye to them but seeing Carrie getting graduated, I feel like I watched her grow 😭😭😭. There are triggers so please check. Thank you Jade for allowing me to be part of this fantastic family. I will have to re read them all as I miss them already!!! 💔
"I’m living with a depraved, debaucherous, adventurous s3x maniac with some kind of sin room? Holy sh/tballs."
“Answer that and tell whoever it is to f*ck off because you’re busy getting your cunt licked.”
“I’m not the kind of man you need, Mallori.” “But you’re the kind of man I want.”
“Why does it feel so good with you?”
“F*ck, baby. This sweet c-nt bled for me last night, and today I’m going to make it sing.”
"I’ve taken up permanent residence in BonerVille since I met you.”
After reading the other books in this series, I was wondering if Hawk, the inveterate bachelor, would ever find the woman, his “one”, that would make him leave his player ways behind. He certainly doesn’t see Mallori coming or the extra complications that come with having a relationship with her. How could doing his friend a favour end up changing his life forever? Dominant alpha male Hawk, or Tate as she calls him in their most intimate moments, never expects to fall for sweet, innocent Mallori. She sets off unexpected sparks within him, arouses his protective and possessive instincts, and even makes him break his promise to his friend , Cam (her cousin), to never touch her. It is very entertaining to follow the changes in his thinking, feelings and behaviour as he falls hard for his house guest.
Mallori shows she has a hidden strength and determination as she breaks free from her controlling and obsessed mother. Finding herself a house guest of Hawk, the far too handsome, brawny and broody friend of cousin, is rather shocking and a tad disconcerting at first. Then she discovers that Hawk has a softer, much more approachable and charming side. His interaction with kids melts her heart (mine too) and fires up her attraction to him. They actually get along very well, enjoy their long conversations and are both diehard Chuck Norris fans. Both start off ignoring their attraction, but their hot chemistry and intense connection make it impossible, especially after she witnesses him in a rather spicy and intimate situation. Passion flares between and leads an unquenchable thirst for more. Let’s just say that everything around them should be in ashes …..they are that combustible. They have some decisions to make, some challenges and troubles to overcome, but they both finally admit that their love is worth fighting for.
I must mention a few secondary characters that make this book vastly entertaining. Little Bella is a toddler, Cam’s daughter, with then face of an angel, but has a rather mischievous soul within her. She leaves chaos in her wake and leaves the adults not knowing whether to laugh, cry or pull their hair out. Hawk’s buddy Tank has a very saucy septuagenarian grandmother who likes nothing better than to talk about sex, though shopping is a close second. As one of the characters put it, “She’s nutty as squirrel poo, but we love her.” The teasing, goading and insults among Hawk and his friends is also hilarious, and the same goes with their wives who are quick to befriend Mallori. I love the camaraderie among the friends and the way they step up to support each other. They are a wonderful found family.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous book and all the other books in this Fierce Protectors Series to everyone who enjoys romance on the very spicy side.
The unlovable found love!!! I thought Cam and Bode were it for me but then Hawk came in fast, and I fell in love with him. This is definitely my favorite of the Fierce Protector series.
Tate aka Hawk has always been the grumpy one of the group. He loves his friends and their families and will do anything for them. So, when Cam's cousin needs a place to stay of course Hawk agrees to let her stay with him while Cam fixes what his daughter broke. Mallori is the sunshine that everyone needs in their life. After dealing with something traumatizing, she decides a new path for herself and branches out for the first time ever to do something she honestly wanted to do. Their forbidden romance is a slow burn but blooms like a beautiful dahlia! She is the sunshine to his dark grumpiness and brings out a softer side of him. Everyone knows him a darker guy with specific tastes in the bedroom. So of course, Cam warns him not to touch his cousin who also just happens to be 10 years younger than him. But ultimately, the heart wants what the heart wants. They healed each other in ways that was perfect for them and no one else.
I loved how Jade developed their story. It was a slow burn that built up to something amazing. They started off as roommates to becoming friends then ultimately lovers. But like the perfect miscommunication trope they never confessed how they felt right away. I adore India and Jenn. They were the perfect side characters that added that banter that just had you laughing randomly. Especially India and her witchy ways. It's crazy how she got their love story as accurate as she did the year BEFORE they met. But I feel like they need their own books now. I would love to see more into the mind of that is India. And Jenn's story is heartbreaking, and we know she finds love, but I would love to read more on it. On a completely different note, I love how much Jade, AK, L.A. & Carolina support each other. Jade included all of her fellow author besties in different ways throughout the book. Her entire description of AK was PERFECT and I'm loving the blend of characters now. I absolutely adore Collin and to see him tide into this universe now is just the perfect blend that I didn't know I needed.
Please start at the beginning by reading Delay of the Game and then move on to the Fierce Protectors Series before you read this book as the Characters from all the books are in this book and it will make more sense if you know who is who.
I'm still recovering after reading Hawk and Mallori's Story. Oh My! We had been wondering what way Hawks book would go and Jade certainly didn't leave any of us down with regards to the Story Line and that Man's Den of Sin. We finally got in side the doors of it and it was definitely worth the wait!
Mallori is a cousin of one of our other favourites in this Series Cam and led a very sheltered life growing up because of her overbearing Mother. The woman was obsessed with dancing and did what ever was necessary to ensure her daughter achieved what she was never able to do in her Dance Courier but at the cost of Mallori. She was not a nice individual and Ruled her home the way she ruled her Daughter. Mallori's Dad was a Sweetheart but unfortunately worked overseas a lot so was not witness to how his Wife treated his Daughter when he was away.
After an incident in College Mallori decided to change her life completely. Get a way from her Mother and move down to Texas to her Cousin Cam and go to college where he lived. This is where she meets Hawk who ends up giving her a place to stay for a while as a help out to his Friend Cam.
Hawk tries his very best to not feel the attraction that is instant between the two of them. He thinks he is Damaged and not worthy of a Good Life and relationship like the rest of his Friends and work Buddies. Mallori goes out of her way to prove different and it becomes an intriguing story to read. The usual love and laughter is there as we are used to within this group and the Hot Spice we always knew would be there for Hawks book and boy is there Steamy windows reading this!
I'm a little sad that we have come to the end of the fantastic Men and the fantastic women they ended up with but we can hope that we get to read about their Children in future books and that will keep us well entertained if they are anything like their parents...ha ha
I’m not crying, you’re crying. The end of the Fierce Protectors series is here and I’m not okay. And then the epilogue with the flash-forward? I can’t… I just can’t…
Update 24 Hours Later: Still not okay, but Pilot AK Landow is ready to talk about this book and her favorite tour guide (code for author), Jade Dollston. Tour Guide Dollston has taken us on a journey through this entire series, and the finale has landed us in Hawk’s long-anticipated Den of Sin. We’ve been teased with Hawk for MANY books. His time is finally here.
Of no surprise, Tour Guide Dollston has once again delivered a heartwarming, funny, emotional, SPICY story. We’ve got sweet Mallori with a mother I hate more than Bristol’s would-be mother-in-law from Devoted. Okay, maybe it’s a tie. After something traumatic, Mallori is starting fresh in a new town. Her cousin entrusts her to one of his best friends because he wouldn’t possibly ever touch innocent Mallori, would he? Yep, he went there. Boy, did he go there. Mallori went from inexperienced to the Den of Sin quicker than a knife fight in a phone booth
I love how Tour Guide Dollston gave us a little background on Hawk and what shaped him to be the imperfectly perfect man he is. His falling for someone so unexpected was…well…unexpected. To my surprise, Hawk was a bit of a gentleman on the streets (but don’t worry, he was no gentleman in the sheets).
Despite her baggage and innocence, Mallori was a strong FMC who had big, bad, depraved Hawk wrapped around her pinkie finger. You go, girl!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Tour Guide Dollston is a once-in-a-generation writer This 1,000,000-star book is classic Dollston, complete with fantastic unputdownable writing. Anytime Pilot AK Landow lands, she will always go straight to Tour Guide Dollston because no one leads you through a journey with more finesse, twists and turns, excitement, good tears, boob sweat, panty saturating, and flat-out laughter.
This is my first Jade book but certainly not my last. I cannot wait to go and binge read her entire catalog. The scene in the car that led to the hospital visit was so hilarious I had to tell my boyfriend. Which then led us to laugh together like teenage girls.
Hawk was broody, hot, protective, and just…perfect. If I could pluck him from the damn book I would. BOYYYY do I want Hawk. Mallori was smart, talented, and could definitely hold her own. I loved her and Cam, her cousins, relationship and how protective he was over her. But Karen…of course her name is freaking Karen has GOT TO GO. If I could edit every one of her scenes and take her out…or better yet get Hawk to end her violently I would. MANNNN she really gets me going and not in the sexy Hawk way.
And don’t even get me started on those damn roommates. I am officially starting a petition to get a bonus epilogue of if they kept messing with the roommate and her bf and what all happened with that. I ain’t forgot about them Miss Jade. I have questions and they NEED answers.
I was not prepared for the amount of sweetness Hawk was capable of. Like this man is 100% irresistible. We had NO CHANCE of not falling in love with him. This was not fair and I do not want to share him. Not even with Mal.
I loved Hawks book sooo much!! Life has been super busy for me and that's the only reason why the book took me so long to read!! If your life isn't going all kinds of crazy u can probably read this book in a day or 3!!!
Seriously loved all the protectiveness and the love in this family. It's amazing to see ppl having your back that aren't blood!! I loved seeing all the others family growth with the kiddos and all that!!!
Mallori is one tough cookie and watching her grow and become her own person and making her own choices and doing what she wanted and not letting someone guide it was truly amazing!!! She became a badass and I just loved that!
Her past made her stronger and I loved that speaking to someone didn't make her feel any less of a person. It's amazing to see the advocacy of getting help and talking through things in a positive light instead of ppl making it seem like it's a bad or weak thing!
Hawk is just delish and a big ass buff softy teddy bear I wanna squeeze! His past made him a wall of brick and didn't let many get close. When his lil bee came in the picture and showed him it was okay to show that side of you. I fell more in love with him!
He took so much on at a young age but that never stopped him. He had his den of sin as his escape and his love for his sister to guide him to the light when need be. The way he grew in the romance/ love area was not watching paint dry! It was watching a beautiful sunrise!
Mal and hawk are seriously one of my fav couples! I need to back track to the beginning and see everyone's story but currently I love these two!
This is book #6 and the conclusion in the Fierce Protector Series. Each book is an interconnected standalone that can be read in any order. I do suggest starting from the beginning and you will thank me late for that piece of advice. cuz...the men and the women in this series are HOT!
***There are adult themes in this series so I do suggest doing your homework before diving in.
-Age Gap -Forced Proximity -Best Friend's Cousin -Former Military (Navy Seal) -Dominant MMC -Forbidden Romance - Finally...Hawks Den of Sin
So If you have been around here for a minute, you know how much I love Jade Dollston. Her writing sings to me and I devour everything she gives me. This book was no different. We finally get our Hawk and all his secrets plus, we meet Mallorie and I absolutely adored this beautifully written character. Both Hawk and Mallory find that mutual attraction that they try to avoid and definitely give in to. Their relationship is complex and they know that Mallori will be going back to school. Neither want to admit their feelings but things happen and it all comes to a head. Can they get over their issues and just be together or will ego and family issues get in the way?
This book is best read going in blind and you can read it without reading the others. Jade makes sure you understand everything and you will never be confused. This series has a ton of characters and we see our fair share in this book but again, Jade's writing is superb and explains everything. If you love a well told story written with such emotion that you just might shed a tear, then this book and series is for you. Go check out Jade and see why I love her so much.
Damaged Protector is the 6th and final book in the Fierce Protectors Series and everyone has long awaited Hawk’s HEA. He has been a part of each book, a loyal friend, co-worker, uncle, and adventurer behind closed doors who patiently waited for his story to be told.
When Mallori, Cam’s cousin, needs a place to stay after leaving a traumatic situation, Hawk offers his house though he wasn’t prepared for who was moving in.
Strictly off limits, he pushes down his attraction and determined friends is where he will keep the line firmly drawn. Mallori has been sheltered her whole life, living under her mom’s pressure to be perfect. She’s young, innocent, and in her own for the first time in her life. Finding herself living with a beast of a man she can’t stop thinking about but is sure would never see her differently.
Their friendship is full of witty banter that has them both opening up in a way neither were prepared for. When the tension builds, Hawk does everything he can to keep her at arms length, until that string not only snaps but shreds to a million pieces and he can’t hold back any longer. He opens her eyes to a whole new world both inside and outside of the bedroom and their connection is like a match to a firework.
Who you fall for isn’t always who you expect, but it is exactly what you need! Congratulations Jade on a beautiful end to such an amazing series! Bring your fan and your tissues, you’re going to need both 🥵❤️.
This is the end of an era and I am so sad about it! I am so glad to finally have Hawks story after 5 books of tease, but seriously Jade…warn a girl! The heat, the tenderness, the love it’s ALL there and I had the feels through all of it!
Mallori a dancer, is sexually harassed by one of her instructors and no one will believe her, even when she breaks his nose! Her mom Karen(perfect character name BTW) blames Mallori. Mallori decides she is done dancing for others and opts to make a change with the support of her father. Through a series of events, she becomes roommates with Hawk.
Hawk has some dark tendencies that he plays out in his “Den of Sin” but Mallori sees underneath the dark and brooding man to the caring, tenderhearted, protective man that is Hawk. He is attracted to Mallori, but knows she is off limits and he does not want to put his friendships in jeopardy. However, Mallory has other ideas. Their friendship grows as does their attraction. This was such an excellent story for Hawk and I could feel the emotion between them on every page. His feelings of being unworthy, and her doubting a man like him could let go and love her.
Hawks protective nature was everything, and when he goes to her dorm and keeps Coconut? I was a goner in the very best sense. This story was infinity stars and such a great romance with all the spice that we have come to love and fan ourselves over in a Jade Dollston novel. Please Jade, follow through on the “wink, wink” and continue to give us more from these characters and their families.
It’s over 😭 me not writing this with tears in my eyes! This was such a beautiful funny series. Hawk and Mallori are such an amazing couple. Hawk was always the elusive one of the guys in the group and after hearing his story it made my heart break and fell in love with his bruty protective delicious self. And Mallori she is a beautiful soul inside and out she is such a strong woman and Hawks perfect pair. I loved there connection, the Chuck Norris quotes got me every time. Jade never disappoints with the banter in her books I was belly laughing with the things Hawk and Mallori said. Their relationship with so natural it came so easy it just flowed off the pages they connected through there similar back grounds and their own trauma. It made there connection so strong and undeniable. And man oh man did the spice and the Den of Sin not disappoint it was just drool worthy and scrumptious. But with that being said with all good series they must come to an end. And what an exquisite ending this was. That second epilogue got me y’all I was not ready for that! Jade knows how to tug at the heart strings. Seeing every single one of the guys in this series have there happily ever after with there beautiful woman and children it was a dopamine shot to the heart. I love this series with all of my being and will forever recommend it to anyone! Please please read it!
