This story was fun and short, but actually didn't do much with the space it had. There was a special jacket and people tried to steal it, then a setup and a parlour scene and a big reveal. Since there wasn't much of a mystery (which is what my son likes to hear about) and there wasn't much danger except maybe the worry that the special vintage coat could be stolen, there just wasn't much to the story. Normally a Stilton book is a guaranteed home run, this one was just "ok". Still, it does it's job at bedtime.
