Award-winning author Margaret Moore actually began her career at the age of eight, when she and a friend concocted stories featuring a lovely, spirited damsel and a handsome, misunderstood thief nicknamed "The Red Sheik."
Unknowingly pursuing her destiny, Margaret graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. During that time, she also became a Leading Wren with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve, where she learned to use a variety of weapons and had the weepy experience of being tear-gassed.
In addition to being a wife and mother of two, she's also been an award-winning public speaker, synchronized swimmer, an archer, and studied fencing and ballroom dancing.
Margaret sold her first historical romance and the premiere book of her Warrior series, A WARRIOR'S HEART, to Harlequin Historicals® in 1991. Since that time, she's written over 25 historical romance novels and novellas. She has also written for Avon Books, as well as a young adult historical romance for HarperCollins Childrens Books. She now writes for Harlequin's new single title imprint, HQN.
Her books have been published in France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland and India.

La heredera escocesa
Me gusto mucho, una historia muy diferente pero emotiva, tiene unos matices muy tiernos llenos de amor pero también de intriga y traiciones, nunca imagina que lo que más amas en tu vida (tú progenitor) haga lo indecible para persuadirte para que desistas en algo tan bello para ti! Te invito a que leas esta bella historia 100% recomendada

I can't believe this book, and the sh*t written inside it. I got an instant dislike for the "heroine", she was just a vashedan b*tch and he was no much better. Whatever, waste of time.

I usually really like Margaret Moores' stories but I just didn't really like any of the characters in this book.
It's love at first sight, which I don't particularly like. Lawyer, Gordon McHeath, saves Moira from a nasty dog on his way to visit his friend Robert. Unbeknownst to Gordon, Robert wants him to sue the lovely Moira for breach of promise as Moira broke off their engagement. Nevermind that she found out he's a drunk and a womanizer (and in debt up to his eyeballs, but she doesn't know that).
Gordon is unaware why he was called out for a visit. But he feels he owes Robert for something that happened as children so he agrees to represent him. I absolutely hate stories in which actions are guilt ridden.
I would have liked Gordon much more if he wasn't his friend Robert's flunky.
Gordon's friend and Moira's father are very unlikeable.
This book just did not resonate with me.

i have read all of margaret moore books
i did enjoy this. it had alot of passion in and a few other things i liked
there was one or two things i didn't like but other wise a nice read.

I love Moore's stories and characters. Highland Heiress managed to take me away from some very worrying times on a cross country flight. And I am so glad I found this book! I don't know how I missed this title when it came out, but I did. A wonderful story well told!

August 1, 2016I don't think there is any wrong with this story. I just prefer a highland venue involve kilts and braw heroes. I've started this book three times now and each time I've read less before becoming bored. So away it goes.
