A mesmerizing journey through India's rich heritage and culture.

A H Wang's "Indus Star" is an enthralling read that captivates from the very first page. The author masterfully weaves together the threads of India's rich history and culture, bringing to life the vivid landscapes, traditions, and heritage of this diverse nation.

What truly sets "Indus Star" apart is the meticulous attention to detail in describing India's essence. Wang's profound understanding and respect for the country’s cultural and historical tapestry shine through, making the reader feel as though they are journeying through the bustling streets, serene temples, and ancient ruins themselves.

The character development in "Indus Star" is equally commendable. Each character is crafted with depth and authenticity, and their growth throughout the story is both compelling and believable. The author's ability to delve into the complexities of human emotions and relationships adds a rich layer to the narrative, making it a truly immersive experience.

The climax of "Indus Star" is nothing short of spectacular. It ties together the various plotlines with skill and finesse, leaving the reader in awe of the intricate and well-paced storytelling. The resolution is both satisfying and thought-provoking, making this book a must-read for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted story.

In summary, "Indus Star" by A H Wang is a brilliant novel that offers a mesmerizing journey through India’s past and present. With its rich descriptions, well-developed characters, and an unforgettable climax, it is a literary gem that deserves high praise. Highly recommended!

I have been following this series from the very beginning, and am yet to be disappointed. It is lovely to see how the author and the characters have progressed and developed over time; I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn't put it down until I had finished it.
The amount of research, knowledge, and care that went into this book is evident throughout, and despite this being fiction, I constantly felt as though I was learning something. The decision to focus on the history and culture of different countries in each book was certainly a refreshing one, and obviously has provided the author with a plethora of new opportunities to work with.
The characters and settings were interesting; the pace moved with the swiftness you would expect of a plot so action-packed; and the dialogue was realistic.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone, and am excited to see what A. H. Wang brings us next.

Georgia Lee is one of my favourite main characters of all time. Smart, sassy, daring but decidedly human with relatable insecurities and anxieties.

I love this book.

Just like the first two books of the series, it took me some time to get to the end. Not because it is slow paced, but because I had to do so much of my own internet sleuthing every time our main characters reached a new destination or interesting point of reference.

I really could feel how much time and effort A.H. Wang has put into the research for this book. Her descriptions of archaeological sites was detailed and meticulous. Although I have no way of knowing if the author actually visited all the locations in the book, but the account of each destination really brought a magical realism to my reading experience.

And to be honest, as much as I love Professor Georgia Lee, I suspect most of us really wish to be her trusty sidekick Sarah. What a character!

Fingers crossed for future adventures!

This was my first A.H. Wang novel. I’m sure that there are some characters and issues from the first two novels that probably form a more complete background to Georgia Lee’s exploits and talents. From the various descriptions / reviews I was expecting a female lead character like Indiana Jones or Robert Langdon (Dan Brown) who with singular focus, aggressively pursued a solution to unusual circumstances. Unfortunately, I did not see that with this character.

When pressed with a huge challenge that was within her capabilities, her initial response was to stay put, and had to be pressured by higher-ups into traveling with the response team. She seemed to have trouble keeping her focus on the task at hand, and was easily distracted and sidetracked by those around her.

The Cursed Vault

A great story which almost makes you believe in a mythical tale of gigantic proportions. Georgia Lee is brought to a major archeological find in hopes of discovering the meaning of a wall inscription in the underwater ancient city of Dwarka. Along with her is Buri and Sarah, both who are determined to keep her safe. As they search for the supposed answer to a certain myth, Georgia is attacked several times and other archeological finds lead them into the depths of a cursed vault. This is an enjoyable novel which searches for the answer to stop a mythical apocalypse from occurring. Enjoy this and the adventure of exploring the Indus Valley and other sites in India.

I am really enjoying reading about Georgia's adventures and as I stated in my previous review about the sequel, she's not only smart but tough and full of surprises.

I still love Indi who is Ben/Buri's service dog and is not only loyal but adorable.

I am so glad that Buri and Georgia are working together again in this book and am excited to see where their relationship may go.

Full of adventure, mystery, danger, surprises and liberal dashes of archeology, I highly recommend this book. I also really enjoyed the historical tidbits that were mentioned and it's evident A.H. has done her research.

So excited for the next book as this one ends on a cliffhanger!

Trigger warnings: death, murder, violence, ptsd, oppression of India's people

I was fortunate to get a sneak preview of the 3rd book in the Georgia Lee series. It has been a few years since the 2nd book and I was wondering if the wait was worthwhile…. I can say without any hesitation that the answer is YES! The author has really woven some magic this time. Such detail and imagery used throughout the book and all the characters I have grown to love, and a few more. The story didn’t disappoint either, fast paced, informative and tense all the way to the end. Great book! Please please do a book 4!!

Another great adventure

I am so glad I was introduced to this series last year, I really enjoy Georgia and the adventures she embarks on. I can’t imagine the amount of research that goes into each book, but they are interesting and a great read. I will say that I started the book trying to remember all the details of the last book, and was grateful for the flashbacks that helped me remember parts I forgot. I was sad to finish it, and can’t wait for the next adventure with Georgia, Sarah, Buri and Indi!

Great read!

I feel like each installment in this series gets better and better! Georgia and Sarah team up with Buri on a find in India. The Dwarka Prophecy, although just uncovered, seems to have triggered the end of the world. As Georgia and the gang race against a ticking clock, they are also being targeted by protesters...and worse. Will they be able to figure out what is going on in time to stop the chaos? Another great Georgia Lee book. More character development (I don't want to give anything away!) I'm excited to see where the next book takes us! Highly recommend!

I was so disappointed with this book. I felt it touched too closely to actual events happening around the world and the story of finding the Indus Star lost a bit of its appeal because of that. And don’t talk to me about Sarah. Such an abrupt and rude character she totally put me off. This is just my opinion so don’t take me at my word. You might like this book a lot more than I did.

I read a review describing the Georgia Lee Adventure series as Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown meets Harry Potter. I think that sums it up perfectly. I also appreciate that the lead character is an intelligent woman. It doesn’t hurt to have an assistant for comedy relief and the ruggedly handsome compatriot and his dog to round out the crew.

An adventure of myth and science

Another great adventure! Archeology is a study of history working with myth and science. when they cross path which is truth and which is man made. A well paced adventure with many twist and turns. Where friends and enemies are not who you think they are. And truth is more complex then is seems

Indus star (star of a book and series)

Compelling read from start to finish. A book I will read again and a series I thoroughly enjoyed. Characters are charismatic and relatable. Travelling the globe with the characters is as good as a holiday. I'm just hoping there will be a 4th book. Loved it.

More Writing is Required

This trilogy is a great read. Georgia is a smart, strong but cautious professor who loves her work. The only down side is Sarah. I did not like her character at all but don’t let that stop you from reading these books.
