The highly anticipated second installment in the epic love story of Marlowe and Minnie is here!
Minerva ‘Minnie’ An’Yan broke the ultimate divine law—she fell in love with a human. As a runaway goddess, she spent years in hiding, knowing the gods wanted her punished for her transgressions.
But when she’s finally captured, she faces more than just execution. Azerius, the most powerful god in existence, doesn’t just want her dead—he wants the true identity of Marlowe, the man she risked everything for.
Except even Minnie doesn’t know who Marlowe really is.
She’s loved him across lifetimes, under different names, but his real identity has always remained a mystery.
Now, trapped between a vengeful god and the echoes of a love she can’t escape, Minnie must unravel the secrets of her past before they destroy her. And in the process, she must answer the most important question:
Who is Marlowe?
'of Sins and Sacrifice' is the SECOND BOOK in the House of Cryos Trilogy and CANNOT be read as a standalone.
If he isn't willing to slice open his chest and break his entire rib cage just to show his beating heart—proving it only beats for me and how desperately he misses me—then what on earth is he doing with his life? 🤣 I know, I know it's morbid, but maaan, Lucien/Marlowe/Minnie is really raising the bar waaay too high. Gaaawd, this man, I just looove him. 😍😂
I really looove Minnie too! She's so brave, but can be a bit impulsive sometimes. I had too much fun with her jealous moments, and that says a lot because I can't stand reading about a jealous heroine. 😅 But her scenes had me cackling like a lunatic, and I had never enjoyed reading a character as much as I did her.
They're equally jealous and possessive, and it's crazy funny reading them get all territorial with one another. 😂 I love it sooo much. 🥰
Anyway, I enjoyed it, I really do, but the ending dampened my mood a little bit. It was heartbreaking to know that they've met in countless lifetimes only for one of them to die and for the whole cycle to repeat again and again. 😭
In book 1, it was mentioned that Lucien died. Yet, despite knowing this fact, it still didn't make it any less painful having to read how it actually happened and how Minnie felt at that moment. It got even sadder when we reached the present, and this time it was Minnie who passed away. 💔
These tragedies are just too much for me; I feel so unprepared for this. 🤧 But I get that this is all part of a greater scheme, so I'm just going to roll with it. I didn't have to like it, but I sort of get it.
Also, it might just be me, but I wasn't a fan of how Minnie didn't actually say "I love you" to Lucien/Mine. Sure, she thought about it, felt it, and eventually realized it, but not once did she actually say those words to him. Meanwhile, he kept telling and reminding her how much he loves her every chance he got. Like, whyyyyy?
Anyhoo, moving on, I had a blast with this story. 💖 And I really hope in the final installment they finally fix their fate and get their HEA and be together forever and ever, as they should always be. I caaaan't wait for the last book. 😍

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I ended up loving this so much more than book one. I loved being in Minnie’s head in this installment, and I loved the WWII/historic aspect. This one felt a lot more fantasy-like than book one. I’m trying to be so vague with this review bc I don’t wanna spoil anything in this series bc Veronica Lancet is the QUEEN of weird, twisty, wtf did I just read books. The romance in this was just so good 😭😭 my brain hurts from the ending but I can’t wait to see how the story ends with the next book bc holy effing cliffhanger
*MF *Paranormal *FMC PoV Only *Unknown MMC *Goddess FMC *Dark Humour *FMC on the run *Obsessive MMC *Reincarnation *Slow burn *Book 2/3 I am so enthralled with this series!! I rarely ever read fantasy and MF at that but this is soooo good 😁 there’s a lot more world building in this second book, with the different houses and the magic they oversee as well as their power structure etc. With the focus on Minnie’s PoV you get to see a whole level of depth to her character and she’s such a strong being, whilst also being incredibly naive - honestly this author made me laugh out loud so many times 🤣🤣 the chemistry in this book is strong despite it being a slow burn 🔥 and the MMC is rather odd, intense, clearly hiding a secret but absolutely obsessed with Minnie 😍 This book centres on Minnie’s and Lucien’s story which throws you at first but wow there’s so many twists and turns that evolve throughout to get you to where you need to be an understand the relevance 👍 very clever storyline and I cannot wait for the final book in the trilogy 😃
Veronica Lancet curse you, that cliff hanger! What do you mean I have to wait until next year 😭😭
Of Sins & Sacrifice is book two in the House of Cryos series. You absolutely need to read book one - Of Ice and Villains first.
Of Sins and Sacrifice is told from Minnie’s POV leading up to the timeline/events in book one. Minnie has her powers stripped from her due to interfering with human fate. While she adjusts to living in the human world with no magic, she is forced to be resourceful. She stumbles upon a flyer saying the local military base is hiring nurses, food & housing included. With not a single second of experience in nursing, Minnie lies her way through the exams and interviews. Once admitted to the base, she meets the general, Lucien. Lucien is smitten with Minnie, and Minnie soon follows suit. Once a rule follower, Minnie will go against her better judgement and break every rule if it means a lifetime with Lucien.
There is so much I could say about this book & the characters, but I would never shut up and I would totally spoil it. So we’ll leave it at this:
WE MUST PROTECT MINNIE AT ALL COSTS. I truly loved her soooo much. She is so sweet, innocent, wholesome and simultaneously a badass. Watching her learn how to exist in the human world was so comical, home girl was lost AF.
It was fun to pick up on and see the connections that we get in book one. You start to piece some of the story together and it made it such an adventure.
This story had me giggling and kicking my feet. It was a book I was so excited to pick up, and never wanted to put it down or end.
If you loved Fairydale, you will absolutely love this one.
I enjoyed the characters but there’s a lot of filler. This book is about 700 pages and honestly there was no reason for it. Nothing happens other than the occasional fight with a demon, ghost, etc.
Before Minnie and Marlowe, there was Minnie and Mine.
We go back to the 1930s-1940s WWII era where we meet Minnie again and how she got into the mess with the Gods. With losing her powers and stuck in a world that isn’t hers, she meets a soldier at war who is named “Mine.”
The banter alone is 10 out of 10. I could not stop giggling when these two interacted with one another. This is an ultra ultra slow burn and it has the very unique trope of manipulation, but it’s sweet and nice manipulation? Now I know that doesn’t make any sense but for this book, it totally does because Mine is absolutely smitten with gullible Minnie. She’s a goddess. A demonslayer. And once a soldier herself. But now she’s playing nurse without powers and now falling for a puny human.
Mine, a fascinating soldier is smitten with Minnie. “You are the only female l've ever wanted. No other. Not here, not now, and not for an eternity to come.”
Forbidden Romance A deity princess and human soldier Time traveling Reincarnation Slowburn Plot twist
It’s a love story that fully immerses you in a very unique world. Through multiple lifetimes. It’s the same love. You have two characters who will not succumb to a certain fate. And are willing to cut the strings of their own fate to be together despite what their worlds want.
I’m also very interested in Wyn and Cerenios story! There’s definitely something there. And I must know more of the story between these two side characters!
Book 2 definitely is mostly a completely different timeline, but by the end of it, we are fully back to where we were during book one and everything makes so much more sense! "I vow to the Source that my intention is only to protect you; to love you; to be with you. Everything I have done, past, present, future, has been for that goal."
I don’t read a lot of fantasy romance. “𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘧 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 2 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 1.” Yes, I’m aware of this, but Veronica Lancet wrote it. “𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵.” No, you don’t understand; Veronica Lancet wrote it. She can always capture my attention from page 1. Her world-building is not dull or lagging. It makes sense to the plot and weaves so effortlessly. She does this with the different genres she writes, whether it’s her mafia, dark horror, or fantasy—not an easy task.
“Of Sins and Sacrifice” is a fantasy romance and not a standalone. Please read Ice and Villains, where you will be introduced to Minnie and Marlowe. In Book 1, Marlowe is described as “cereal” unaliver and also neurodivergent, has OCD and ADHD, sees a therapist, has a unique relationship with his family, and is very wealthy yet reclusive. Similarly to Batman, an anti-hero, he unalives the bad guys and has his own “secretary,” named Giles, who “cleans up his messes.” When Minnie is introduced, the story shifts, adding paranormal elements with powerful gods and the whole good vs. evil theme. I was left with many questions and heartache at the end.
The opening, “Of Sins and Sacrifice,” evoked eagerness, excitement, and additional questions. Like Book 1, I wanted to slow the story down and absorb every bit of it. I laughed, teared up, got giddy, and clapped at several scenes. There is so much in “Of Sins and Sacrifice” from past lives, reincarnation, the gods and goddesses, and their powers, and let's not forget the romance. I knew I should have paid more attention to those Marvel Loki episodes about the explanations of the threads.
My lack of threads knowledge aside, “Of Sins and Sacrifice,” was greatly enjoyed. I did yell out, “VERONICA, NOOOOO!!!” in the final sentence. I’ll be okay.
And here we are with the sequel about Minnie and Marlowe’s story. We have the traditional tropes that we see before in this book: paranormal vibes, slow burn, and the unique humor that Veronica’s can do so well. Here we have some background about the past between the main characters (somehow) and how we have the story in present days. Obviously it is really good and an easy read (besides the huge book that this is). Can’t wait for the conclusion.
I couldn't stop myself from reading the next book in the House of Cryos series. The first book left me reeling with questions, so curiosity got the better of me. Minnie is revealed in a very different light in this second book. Things that were found out or explained before, now are fleshed out and in real action.
It was so engaging to get to know her story as she was before she met Marlowe in such dark circumstances. Funny and full of energy, she shows her mighty ambition for the good while getting into trouble and realising how difficult it is to deal with certain pesky necessities. That was hilarious. And I loved the character that comes to life to show how everything started for her. Their relationship is fun and intense, especially considering the stakes.
Minnie's attitude contrasts wildly with the historical context. That's a source of plenty of hilarious scenes and misunderstandings. On the other hand, the dark fantasy is so exciting because of the folklore and how to deal with it. I really liked that.
Even though the main focus of the first half of the book is on the crazy banter between the characters, fun and amorous, the lengths they go to will surprise you. However, the dark fantasy part is such a whirlwind of new things and valuable chunks of progress. It's mind blowing. Lots of action, magic, battles against supernatural creatures, blood and guts, intricate worldbuilding, carnal passion to raise some eyebrows. Oh, and one special place we get to see! Exciting secrets are spilled, though there are many to come. This book left me breathless!
The plot structuring was kinda confusing. I was angry until 20% that there was no Marlowe. Then my earlier theory from the first book was implied to be true and i got invested in Lucien quickly from there on.
Minnie is stupidly cute. So damn adorable. I wanna see my neurodivergent serial killer Marlowe pov again in the next book😭😭😭😭
Thank you Veronica and Give Me Books PR for sending me this ARC!
Of Sins and Sacrifice is the second book in the House of Cryos trilogy.
I fell in love with this book from page 1! I really loved the first book in this series but the second one blew me away. I loved the idea of centering it in war-torn London during WWII. Minnie and Lucien’s banter is top tier (one of my favorite aspects of Veronica’s writing) and I was laughing out loud at some parts and then crying towards the end of the book. I also loved seeing the different hierarchies of Minnie’s world.
I’m so glad this book was in Minnie’s POV because I just adore her. This book is definitely long coming in around 712 pages but it honestly needed to be that long! There is always so much depth and so many layers to Veronica’s books that I never care about the length.
But that cliffhanger??!! I cannot wait for the last book!
First, UGH --- FINALLY!! I've been waiting forever for this after my MinnieMarlowe craze. And as always, LOVE everything VL wrote. Always so fun and/or a brain workout.
Now, now.
In this book we were taken back to the past to learn about the dead guy Marlowe incinerated. Yes, the mummified guy he was so jealous of, he just had to compare who is more handsome and who has the bigger....ehem. LEMME TELL YOU - I KNEW IT. I KNEW ITTTTTTT WAS ---!! I didn't expect to love him like I loved Marlowe but damn. I feel like he's kinda up there above Marlowe? And damn he was so suspicious. I just knew who and what he was right away! I feel like I'm getting very good at this theorizing shit from reading a lot of VL's books and other brain altering books.
It had been fun in the first book and didn't lose its momentum. Minnie's POV, showing her innocence despite her age has been very cutesie and a delight. Seeing the world in her perspective is still a breath of fresh air. It's like being a child again. I also love the roles and depictions of things in what is considered good or bad, and people who are considered fair or cruel.
Bit sad we didn't continue where we left off and that this kinda feels like a novella, but I'm pretty satisfied reading about this. Sooo, when's the next book, please?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️/5 I’m so happy to have this book. After the cliffhanger I needed it. I loved how much more would building this book has. Veronica has outdone herself. I loved it so much. I ate up every page and didn’t want to put it down. I loved this book completely being in Minnie’s perspective. I wanted her pov so much in book 1. I loved the banter so much between Lucien and Minnie. Lucien was an unexpected MMC for me, but I loved him. There were so many twists and turns to this book. I don’t want to give away too much but definitely read this book. That cliffhanger was so brutal. I will be eagerly awaiting book 3. I need answers. Tropes- -paranormal -FMC pov only -obsessive MMC -slow burn -unknown MMC -book 2
Trigger warning (kind of?): There is a lot of second hand embarrassment in this book. I know a lot of people can’t really handle that, so I thought I should mention it.
All the embarrassment aside, I really liked this book (though not as much as the first one). I had to laugh a lot and I was giggling and kicking my feet quite a lot 🤭
As soon as I understood what was going on I knew that this book would make me cry at some point. And it sure did 😭 But that was rather short lived, so that’s okay.
I’m really sad that I have to wait for the next book (and who knows how long?), especially since the first two books are rather long and there’s a lot to remember. I had a hard time remembering everything that happened in the first book but haven’t felt like doing a reread.
HOLY SMOKES I’m so glad I read the second book - I should’ve known with how Fairydale was written she’d do the same and it did NOT disappoint. I will say this whole book was a flashback until the last 2% of the book. While super interesting and i loved every second of it, i couldn’t stop thinking of the present and what happened at the end of book one - now the third book is going to be MORE flashbacks. I just want to know what’s going on in the present ESPECIALLY with that cliffy. Crazy stuff, will totally be reading the third book once it comes out 😂
Absolutely incredible. Didn’t knock Fairydale from my no.1 spot but it’s definitely no.2 for me. Veronica’s writing is everything.
Banter is my FAVORITE. The banter, the story, the CHARM. For a dark romance this had me giddy and giggling and falling so much in love with the characters.
I can’t wait for this to release, I hope others enjoy it and appreciate it as much as I do.
Veronica gets me every time with her books! Her writing style is so unique and I absolutely am obsessed! I loved this book and I need book 3 asap!!! I need to know what is going on with Minnie!!
This was the only question I had in mind before starting this book and now I have too many questions which I have no clue of. the last chapter took me on a roller coaster ride in my head on what is about to happen next. I still have no idea how in the world you come up with these characters and their stories but I am loving every single second of it.
“Mine,” he suddenly says, tightening his hold over my hand. I frown. “You can call me Mine.” I blink. “Is that your middle name or something?” He smiles and nods. “I’m only allowing you to use it. Since you’re not everyone.” “That’s…nice of you,” I murmur. Why is it suddenly so warm in here? Why are my cheeks flaming hot? “You will, right? Use it, I mean?” he asks, a little flustered. “Only I can use it?” I ask to clarify. I rather like the sound of that. “Only you.” He nods. “Fine. Then I shall call you Mine.” His lips stretch into a wide smile. I stare into his green eyes, unable to move.
Oh my god! this has to be the most adorable moment I have ever witnessed, I actually squealed. This is so not the same when the ML tells the FL that she is his. this is him telling her that he belongs solely to her, ahhhhhhh my heart can't take it.
“We should do it. Get rid of the tension once and for all,” I tell him confidently. He opens his mouth and closes it. Clearing his throat, he averts his gaze. “By doing it, you mean…” “Let out the steam. Get whatever this is”—I wave between the two of us—“out of our systems once and for all.” He swallows hard. His body is tense and he appears uncomfortable. He’s not afraid, is he? “You want to do it?” he repeats. “That’s what I said.” Why is he so slow? “Here? Now?” “Of course not here.” I groan. Don’t tell me this is his first time? “We need a more private setting.” “Private setting,” he mumbles, his cheeks slightly redder than before.
I have never hollered a laugh so loud but dam even for a split second I thought dam Minnie is so forward. the later scene when she punched him square on the nose was so worth it, I and mine both deserved it for our dirty mind. only Veronica's ML can rip open their own chest to make sure that their woman knows how much he loves her. Scar his already scared face so no other woman would even look at him. The best part about our beloved author is you can go blindly to any of the books written by her, there is no cheating ofcourse but mostly both the leads our virgin and can't even think about anyone else. lastly I loved a little bit of Nyx, I did not know he had a child before so the plot thickens, can't wait for Barbi 2.
Another wonderful book by Veronica Lancet which promises more mystery than ever before. While Of Ice and Villain was written from Marlowe’s pov this book is from Minnie’s pov and her showcases her relationship with Lucien, our H in this book. We start off with Minnie, an ice princess, who is a warrior in Aperion’s army and is being forced to get married to a nobleman by her mother. But all she wants to do is kill demons and prove herself to Ze, the highest general in the army. When she finds out that the warriors are being deployed to earth during World War II to kill demons, she sneakily ends up on earth. To intervene/interact with humans in any way, shape or form is a punishable offense (sometimes fatal). But Minnie ends up helping Lucien save some people, thereby breaking a rule for which she becomes powerless for 6 months as punishment. Now she has to survive in war torn London, powerless, by becoming a nurse by dubious means where she finds out that Lucien is a navy pilot. And so begins numerous funny interactions between the two. Lucien has clearly fallen head over heels for her but she is absolutely clueless. The story picks up soon after he discovers that she’s an ice goddess and is looking to destroy a greed demon that has taken hold of pilot in the navy camp in base. He promises to help her if she gives him two weeks to woo her even if he has to follow her to Aperion to report the demon to the correct department in charge of dealing with the greed demon. Throughout all these shenanigans, there are dark undercurrents of something dark and sinister around the corner secrets that seem just beneath the surface. Glimpses of who Lucien is, things that might not be as they seem in Aperion, are some of the things that are suspect. Things truly take a dark turn toward the end and the last couple of chapters will make you go “what the fffff!!!” This book is a long one just like its predecessor and in my opinion it has to be because it is multidimensional and has a lot going on with it. In Lucien we have a wonderful character; sweet and flirty one moment, but intense and obsessive the next. His entire focus is on Minnie and everything he does is for her. Minnie is sweet and naive and when she loves , she loves to the point where she’s ready to literally changes her’s and Lucien‘s fate to be together even if there’s a chance that it might kill her. This book is imaginative, and the author has created a wonderful and engaging world that has a vast scope of being further explored/expanded.
✨️ARC REVIEW ✨️ This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2025 and Veronica Lancelot did not disappoint me at all. Absolutely loved this book ❤️ The last book was from Marlowe's POV and this book is from Minnie 's POV. And it was so fun to read this book from her point of view. She is freaking cute and funny. And her innocence,OMG!! It left me giggling like a fool. Specially when taking advantage of her innocence the MMC convinces her to call him Mine❤️❤️❤️We also got to know about the the history of Minnie and also about Minnie and Marlowe's past lives. It was so fun to read about their little cute misunderstandings and also the way whenever Minnie thought something was not right and how "mine" always made her believe that no it is absolutely fine. Like when Minnie tells him that it is not proper to sleep on the same bed but "mine" somehow convinces her by saying that since he is a punny human and she is powerfull Goddess she must protect him and Minnie agrees😍😍😍😍 I absolutely adored them. Also the way both of them gets jealous , it was so satisfying to watch. And "mine" Ahhh!! where do I even start I absolutely loved him❤️❤️ The way he loved Minnie , nobody can ever love her in the same way . I mean he literally ripped his chest open to show her how his heart was weeping to make her understand how much me missed her😍😍 The last book left me with a lot of questions and the most important one was "Who is Marlowe?" And this book though answered few questions it me with more question than ever. And ending left me completely speechless I didn't see it coming 😭 Overall I absolutely loved this book and thoght book is quite lengthy the story flowed easily and I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time.I am so excited to read the next book in the series and I can't wait. Thank you so much Literally Rising PR for providing me with an ARC. Some of my favourite quotes from the book are as follows:- “Mine,” he suddenly says, tightening his hold over my hand. I frown. “You can call me Mine.” I blink. “Is that your middle name or something?” He smiles and nods. “I’m only allowing you to use it. Since you’re not everyone.” “That’s…nice of you,”
“You’re anything but mediocre, Minnie,” he states in a serious tone. “Perhaps no one’s told you this before, but you are extraordinary.”
“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. And when you smile, youdamn near give me a heart attack.”
just another incredible read by VL that solidifies she is the queen of fantasy. the story tells the tale of Minnie and Lucien, one that the reader has only seen snippets of in book 1. I love that Veronica wrote a remixed version of World War II that wove magic into the series of historic events of the time. while the tone should be quite serious being set in WWII, I was laughing and kicking my feet while simultaneously sleuthing for parallels from book 1 and plot clues. the banter and humor in this book is one of my favorite aspects of the story since I love having a serious plot with comedic relief.
Minnie is so pure and wholesome that her honest mistakes for words was endearing even if she massively missed the mark. one of my favorites was her mistaking “organisms” for “orgasms”. Her defiance to not intervene in human affairs because all she wants to do is help those in need is commendable. I love how we see her blossom into the woman she was in book 1 and the choices she made to become so comfortable in her own skin when it’s clear in this book it took some time to get there. her growth shows how sometimes you must do things for yourself even if it seems like the more difficult thing to do.
I love how the book is set up that you think it’s taking place in the past but at the end, the reader is made known that the book actually is in the present and someone is just going through Minnie’s memories. it is such a unique way to tell Minnie’s backstory and share her connection with Lucien. the reader is given more information regarding the world building, but also teases the grander plot of the series. many of my theories were confirmed or denied in this book, but I came up with many more along the way. and of course this one ended on an insane cliffhanger leaving me to count down the days until book 3 is released.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD at the end of book 1, my theory was Lucien was reincarnated as Marlowe so I spent most of the book looking for clues that this was the case. in the end, it is confirmed and I was so amped that I figured that one out. looking back on book 1, it’s even funnier to me that Marlowe was comparing his manhood to Lucien and made his DAD (!!!) help him ☠️
After falling completely in love with the first book in the series, I have to admit I went into this second one with sky-high expectations, maybe too high. The issue isn’t that this book is bad, but that the previous one was so good that I spent most of the time comparing them.
From the very beginning, I wasn’t thrilled about the book being entirely a flashback to 1943. I had fallen for the present-day versions of the characters, and I knew going back would mean seeing very different versions of them, and that’s exactly what happened. I expected this trip to the past to take up maybe half the book, but it ended up being the whole thing. Even though we do get important revelations, especially about Minnie’s world, the story often felt like a slower, less engaging version of book one.
I really missed Marlowe’s chaotic and unhinged narration. Even though Lucien and Marlowe are technically the same person, I found Marlowe way more compelling. At times, I was just waiting for Lucien to die so the flashback would end. As for Minnie, she comes off as incredibly naive in this book. While it sort of makes sense because it’s her first time on Earth, it’s also frustrating, considering she’s a 4,000-year-old goddess. I have to agree with Azerius: she really did seem kind dumb (at least in the past)
The book rehashes a lot of scenes we already saw in book one, just in a different form. That’s common in reincarnation/past lives plots, but for me, it made things feel repetitive and less exciting. There are still comedic scenes, but a few seems kinda of too much like the scene where he opens up his chest, i think is more awkward than emotional or dramatic.
That said, I did enjoy the book overall, even if it was a bit exhausting at times. The real highlight is the ending and the plot twist. But even then, we don’t get any real answers, just more questions.
It feels like a lot of important things happened in this book, but they were all put on hold to be resolved in the third one. I’m assuming the next book takes us back to their very first life and i cant wait to discover what really happend.
