Apple Tree

Rate this book
Jalisha followed Camille's rules to the letter. When she broke a rule, her innocence became a thing of the past. Eight-year-old Corine loved and admired her sister dearly and would do anything for her, even if it meant taking a life. Self-absorbed Camille loved her tricks more than she loved her daughters. Apple Tree is the story of love, betrayal and the loss of innocence.

Now, Apple Tree is a book I wrote on a whim. While I was writing Sweet Revenge, I suffered a stint of writer's block, so I decided to start a new project to help get rid of that pesky block. I finished this novel in four weeks. I love the characters, especially the sassy, nasty mother. Oh, she's horrible, but she has two daughters who are trying to survive the drama she brings into the house with her slutty ways. Out of all the books I've written, I'd give this one five stars. It had a lot of people talking...

It was a great read. It went beyond the "intimate" parts and touched on issues that can happen within families. It teaches that no matter how much people have hurt you you have to forgive them to have your peace of mind. Otherwise, it could force you to go into a very dark place you may never out of.
