Two mafia families too stupid to run any business, legit or not.
Both family’s parents were murdered on the same night six years earlier and both oldest sons blindly jump to the conclusion that the other family committed the murders, apparently neither considering it might be someone else. Whut?
Then the head of the Rossi family is informed that the de Lucas are harboring a young girl. He knows he had sex with the de Luca daughter at their engagement party six years earlier, but the child must belong to one of the brothers. Case closed. Whut?
Marco de Luca intends to marry his sister to his former friend Elio Rossi so that he can prove the Rossi family killed his parents. No explanation of how this marriage plan will accomplish what he couldn’t prove in the last six years.
Elio Rossi intends to go ahead with this distasteful marriage so he can force the de Lucas into admitting they killed his parents, because he hasn’t been able to find any other proof in the six years since the murders. No explanation of how he plans to force that confession. Maybe by twirling his moustache and snarling, “Aha! Now I have your sister in my evil clutches! Confess or else!” Or possibly, “Confess or she dies!” Because that would go over really well with the unspecified allies he needs in order to take the de Luca family down.

im really dissapointed. cat is portrayed as this smart women but the way she jumps into getting pregnant again without taking a few years to see what her relationship with elio is like is just not something sane. and revealing luna to that? after shes gone to multipule countries learned of a dad and aunt? its just really impulsive
and there are so many questions left unanswered. i mean this is a standalone why are we left with so many unresolved mysteries? no offense to the author but this made no sense to me i actually got a migrane reading it

First time reading a book by this author. The writing was great, the story is something else. There’s a lot that I’m confused about.
What happened to Marco?
Why did Dino betray his family?
Why did both the Rossi’s and the De Luca’s wait so long to plan a revenge scheme through marriage to get to the bottom of their parent’s death?
What happened for Gia to go from inquiring about Sal to letting him shower and stay in her room with her?
Why did the Irish dude wait 6 years to claim Caterina when she was single as a Pringle for all those 6 years?..the perv.
What made Nico betray Elio?
There’s a lot missing from the story. 🤷🏻♀️ Eventually I’ll want to read Sal and Gia’s story so I have that saved on my list.
What happened to Marco?
Why did Dino betray his family?

An amazingly written story with superb characters which is a true page turner it also has suspense, intrigue, thrills, action and steamy spicy romance this story has a great happily ever after ending.
Two mafia don’s went to tend to some business and before they went home they made a contract putting one’s eldest son to marry the other’s eldest daughter it also had that the one would have their goods sent to the docks of the other and they would spit the money in a certain way that was set upon. They have an engagement party for the party where the two left the party, the two were having strong feelings for one another. They have sex and that is the time where he finds out that she was a virgin. Later that night the two mafia families' parents are killed and each family thinks that the other family had killed the other's parents.
Years pass and the young woman had a daughter whose father is the now mafia family’s don.
The couple are brought back together again when the don’s of the two families make a contract with one another just like the same contract like their fathers but the two families are trying to come up with evidence that the other family killed their parents.
During this time the couple tried not to think about the feelings they once had for one another. The young woman was first taken to an estate in Florida where she stayed until she wound up having to tell the mafia don about his daughter and after their daughter was found they went to a villa in Italy. During their time in Italy the mafia don tried to become the father that his daughter needed even though the young woman wouldn’t tell their daughter who he was. The sister was with them alot until she had to go after they got some information from one of the mafia don’s men.
The couple goes with their daughter and his sister to Italy, they are there for a long time, the couple is starting to come to terms with on another, they steal kisses every once and a while before they have sex one night after his sister comes back from a mission bringing with her the young woman’s brother. The mafia don as some documents drawn up where he gives complete custody of their daughter to her and after he shows the documents to the young woman and they talk about it they have sex. The mafia man also talks to the brother about the documents telling him the same as what he told the young woman. Soon they find out about the Irish and leave to go to another estate that he owns in upstate New York.
In New York they capture the young woman’s middle brother who they find out is a traitor. Before they get the traitorous brother the couple gets even more closer having sex again. The traitor brother is tied to a chair and they try to talk to the brother to no avail. The young woman goes to try to talk to the traitor brother but he only gets the mafia don to start not trusting the young woman. Things are said and the young woman goes to their daughter’s room crying. The young woman can’t sleep so she sneaks out only to be grabbed and drugged.
The mafia don can’t sleep and he starts thinking about the young woman, he falls asleep only to be woken up by a crash. He goes to where he heard the crash come from and finds his daughter has cereal on the floor which they clean up. The mafia don and his daughter eat cereal. Until the sister and the brother come before long one of his men comes to him and they have a visitor. The leader of the Irish mob is at the gate informing them that he has the young woman and not to come looking for her or he will kill them all.
The young woman wakes up with lingerie on and tied to a bed, she also notices a man sitting on the bed. The Irish mob leader informs her that she was promised to him, the man is unhinged. The young woman comes up with a plan to get the knife from his belt. After getting the knife she stabs him several times. While running with the knife she finds a phone in the kitchen. The young woman hides in the basement in a closet in a room. The young woman calls the only number she has which is the sister, she gives the sister the information that she can give her.
The mafia don, sister and the young woman’s brother as well as some of the mafia don’s men come, one of the men is like a second to the mafia don. They get to the location where the sister thinks the young woman is at. When they get there there are no guards and once they get inside the house they find the Irish mob leader is staggering down the stairs. The Irish mob leader informs them about the man who the mafia boss considered as a second was the real rat in the family. The brother shoots the Irish mob leader. The mafia don finds the young woman and they kiss. They tell one another that they love each other.
The couple decides to tell the daughter that the mafia don is her father. They also decide to get remarried. They still don’t know who killed their parents and they still have no clue if her brother, the mafia don of their family is dead or alive.
They tell the daughter about the mafia don being her father. They have a birthday party for their daughter who’s turning six. The young woman is pregnant and the mafia don is excited about it but after the birthday party the couple is washing dishes when she tells him about being pregnant with twins. The mafia don is full of joy. The couple is making a future together and a family.

This one was a Mafia Romance that had it all but especially the swoons. Ahhh... My heart, I'm still smiling from the amazing moments and sweet feels that I got to experience.
We see that Elio and Catarina have to fulfill a contract that their beloved fathers had established. Not counting their choices, they have to fulfill their part in the bargain as it also involves merging their business sides.
But after what happened all those years ago, these two and their families have now become sworn Enemies.
So I was really so surprised to find out that now, once again the same deal will be carried out for business sake. Except this time, Catarina has her own little secret and it's important that she hides it from Elio, otherwise it will change everything if he ever comes to know about her secret.
I have to say the blurb had pulled me in at first and with the secret baby being one of my top most favourite tropes to read, this one was a slice of perfection for my heart.
Seriously, the story will keep you hooked, right from the start, there's lots of action and drama and emotionally charged times but there are also equally sweet and heart melting moments that just made me go crazy over this book and an insta fan of Ms. Skys' writing.
Elio and Catarina have to find out the true reason about why things happened and who's trying to betray them behind their backs.
I have to say the suspense angle is just as good as we go through suspicions on a spectrum of people, both close folks and others so much so that I was doubting if we'll ever know the real person behind it all.
The core theme was definitely family and the times spent as Elio tries his best to deserve what's his by being great with Luna and Catarina, had my heart.
Also, Little Luna was just oh so adorable.
Catarina was a perfect balance of sweet and sassy where needed. Initially I thought she didn't really have any backbone, but that lady definitely gave me the most surprises with how we unravel the many different shades of Catarina.
Gia, Elio's sister was crazy amazing and her chemistry with Sal and the secretive whispers of something between them definitely has me oh so intrigued as to what's going on there.
What I loved about Gia was how she stood up to her brother, Elio even though he was the head of their crime family and her boss.
The chemistry between Elio and Catarina was like being on a rollercoaster as to how they both start out and then take their own sweet time by taking us on a pleasant joyride.
Yet what really affected me was how deeply they connect once the picture becomes crystal clear.
There's so much going on in this book but one thing is for sure, you won't be able to put this book down for sure. Loved loved this one. So excited for Gia and Sal's book next.❤️❤️❤️❤️

VIVY SKYS has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Caterina and Elio. Caterina and Elio were to be married but a car accident takes both of their parents. Now Caterina and her brothers think that Elio is behind the death of their parents. Elio thinks that Caterina's brother Mario is behind his parent's death. Caterina and Elio are out in the woods when their parents leave their engagement party. After they find out about the death of their parents they cancel the wedding. Caterina finds out that she is pregnant but she doesn't let Elio know. Now it is six years later and Elio is ready to put his revenge into action. Elio has a meeting with Marco. It is the contract for his and Caterina's marriage. Caterina agrees to the marriage so that she can look for proof that Elio was behind her parent's death. When the contract is signed, Elio tells her to get up so that they can go. She is not happy about this because she can't see her daughter Luna before she leaves. She tries to get Elio to wait a week but he doesn't. He doesn't tell her where they are going. Elio has his sister Gia take Caterina to his house in Flordia but he doesn't go with them. Caterina withdraws and stays in her room. Gia calls Elio and tells him that Caterina is not eating and he needs to get there. When Elio gets to where Caterina is, things happen that cause them to have words and Elio finds out that he has a daughter and someone has gone after her. Elio thinks that Marco is the one behind what happened but later finds out that it isn't Marco but the Irish mob behind it. Kieran is mad at Elio because he thinks that Elio has something that belongs to him and that is Caterina. Caterina is out walking when she is taken. She finds out that her father had promised her to the Irish mob leader Kieran and he doesn't care that she is married to Elio. He has plans for her that don't include her daughter. She knows that she has to get out of there but can't find anything to help her. When Kieran comes into the room Caterina is in, she sees that he has a knife that she thinks she can use to get free. Elio goes downstairs and is in the kitchen when Luna comes in and tells him she wants French Toast. He wants to know where Caterina is but is told that she doesn't know. He goes looking for Caterina but she is nowhere to be found. Caterina gets away from Kieran but she doesn't know where she is so she finds a place to hide. She finds a phone and the one number she has is Gia's. She calls Gia and is asked some questions about what is around her. When Gia gets off the phone she goes to Elio and tells him that she knows where Caterina is. They go after Caterina.
Will Caterina and Elio work things out between them?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Light, easy read
This is my first book by this author, and while it stepped out of my comfort zone with tropes, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loathe miscommunication and pregnancy tropes, but I'm glad I took the time to read this. I loved the characters. Elio was a great mmc, and Catarina was a fierce. Take no crap fmc which is rare to see in books, especially mafia books . I did enjoy the storyline and how it delved a little into the business. When I say I loathe pregnancy tropes, I don't mind secret kids. Call me weird but I enjoy it more. It adds more character and depth into the story, in my opinion. I loved Luna. Now, why did I give 4 instead of 5 stars? I felt a lot was left unfinished and / or unsaid. Being left on somewhat of a cliffhanger with Sal, I understand because his book is right after this one. What happened with Dino? It better be good for us to still not know why he did what he did. Where's Marco? I don't mind cliffhangers, but these are not it, I would've gladly read fewer sex scenes or even another 100 pages or so so we could get to the bottom of all the secrecy and betrayal. What happened to Nico? Where did the Irishman come from? Why was the contract talked about so much to have never been found ? I feel as though the author didn't know exactly what storyline she wanted to stick with, so she threw a few extras in there that were left unsolved. I'm also a sucker for brother's best friend. But were they really best friends? It sounds like they were just acquaintances or adult friends, and It made it seem like they had a lot more history when they had only met each other a handful of times. Either way, decent read. If I'm bored, I'd read more from this author. 2.5 spice. Enjoy !

This is one of those books that you can not put down wanting to know what is coming you keep turning the pages. 1 star for Luna.
first of all, this book is boring. second of all, 95% of this book contains stupid family drama rather than mafia-romance-family related. third, elio is very stupid and weak despite him being the don. last, i have so many unanswered questions regarding this book. what happened to marco? what happened to dino? who killed both of their parents? who framed each other family as the murder of their parents and why? why things happened the way it did? wasn’t the main reason elio and cat married each other is to find out who killed their parents and seek “revenge” to each other? and yet none of that happened in the book. i have so many other questions unanswered. the plot is very messy. i thought this can be read as a stand alone? if you’re looking for a mafia book this one is definitely not for you.

For the most part, I enjoyed reading Elio and Cats story. What I didn't like was how over the top dramatic Elio was for hating Cat and her family. If Marco supposedly was Elios best friend, why didn't Elio talk to Marco after the death of both sets of their parents? It just doesn't make sense. Elio automatically assumed the De Lucas killed his parents yet had no proof in 6 freaking years. It just felt childish and not at all like a Mafia boss. I absolutely adore Gia! She's my favorite character. I love how she treated Cat and stood up to Elio when he was being stupid. Cat is no shrinking violet either. She didn't let Elio run all over her. The whole issue I had with the story was Elio himself. I'm curious about the deaths of both sets of parents and what really happened. There's no way the full story is being told.

Oh, wow, this book was emotional at times. Both were seeking revenge against each other's families. There was so much hate, hurt, and bad blood between them. Not to mention the secret baby Cat was hiding from Elio. It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions.
I loved Cat; she had to grow up fast and has been through so much. Luna was adorable. This is a really slow burn; nothing happens until about 65% of the story, and yes, I understand why, but I like a little more spice in my books.
While I enjoyed the story, I was left with many questions. The book's length felt too long, but it didn't stop my curiosity. I really want to read Gia and Sal's book, as I'm dying to know where Marco is. The anticipation is real!
Also, screw Dino, I don't care what secrets he has or what his reason was, but you don't do that to family.

Bad blood formed between the two families because they each thought the other was responsible for the deaths. For six years things have been bad between the families and now Caterina's oldest brother wants her to marry Elio to get evidence proving he was behind the deaths of their parents. The biggest problem with that is Caterina has been hiding a big secret from Elio for six years and she doesn't plan on letting him in on it any time soon. This is a great read and I loved it!

This is a great story. I really enjoyed the book. The characters are enjoyable and well developed, the storyline is unique and kept me interested. Very entertaining, suspenseful, steamy. I like how the MC brothers will try anything to protect her and how she will do anything to protect her daughter from ever being seen by the one man that used to be her dream man but now she claims him to be her nightmare.
Does she fall for him again, Or will he keep being her nightmare? Will she be able to protect her daughter from him or will her world crumble? Find out in this book.

Interesting
A good Mafia read with a strong storyline and interesting characters and a secret child thrown in. Elio Rossi is the Don of a powerful Mafia family convinced that the family who killed his parents are his to taken down. Caterina De Luca is part of his enemies family who he intends to use to prove they were responsible for the death of his parents. The De Lucas are not very powerful much of the Empire has gone and they believe that the Rossi's are responsible for the murder of their parents. Caterina is to be used to gain information both families are using her. It is an enjoyable read.

I found the book to be very interesting. There were many mysterious that even stumped me at times. I enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between Elio and Catarina. It was also heartwarming to see Elio and Luna develop their relationship especially as he navigated fatherhood. The plot twist was great, I honestly had no idea who was behind everything and am still left wondering. It makes for a great pathway to any other books from this world. In addition there were some moments where there was mention of something that happened earlier in the book however the location was changed. This did confuse me but overall loved this book and definitely recommend!

Disappointing due to inconsistencies
This book was inconsistent. The writing had potential. The characters had potential. But it was just not put together well. There were some good parts but a lot of errors and things left out. At the beginning it said the daughter got a tape measure at school and then a few chapters later it said she had never gone to a school before. The MMC talks to his employee in Italian multiple times and then later the guy doesn't know Italian. And the story for the "bad guy" was just unrealistic. Oh, and no really good reason or detail about why exactly they both thought the other was responsible for killing the other's parents.

This is the best book I have read in a while. It deals In espionage, death, mafia war, mystery, heartache, wrongs, and a love that proves two warring families can come together and make one big happy family.
The next book deals with Gia and Sal’s story. Cant wait! And I’m guessing we will find out where and what happened to Marco. And WHY Dino did what he did. And WOW does it have a surprise ending! Did not see it all coming!😳

Woow I loved the story about Gianna and Sal.
She wanted to take control of the mafia family business
Her father left it in hands of her brother but because she is a woman he thought that she’s not capable.
She wanted to show her brother that she ‘s strong and good at her job she went to find the brother of her sister in law but she didn’t suspect to meet with Sal he came after her for help.
But unexpected things happened and Sal have to solve things alone.
I really loved this story I think this is a second book of a series.
I highly recommend it.

As you begin to read the various books the series you gain a better understanding to their past, current situation, and how moving forward is productive to all the crime families as a whole. None of them set out to be criminals but for the love and stability of family and legacy there’re willing to make the necessary sacrifices. Looking forward to reading Sal and Gia story as well as locating Sal older brother and find out which brother has a son. It might be what Dino was protective of

All the feels… just read it
What a story! This book was exponentially better than the last one. The characters were fully developed, the drama fully explored and built upon. I think I had unchecked tears running down my face during a large majority of reading this love story. I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue this series, I wasn’t impressed by the last book but this one definitely made up for it in spades! Cannot WAIT to dig into the next one. I will be spending the rest of the afternoon on the couch with my kindle!

An awesome book
This book had everything in it, betrayal,attempted murder, drama and hot sex. The h and H had became engaged 6 years ago but both set of parents were murdered. Each family thought the other had initiated the attack. The H didn’t know the h had become pregnant, her daughter was hidden away from him. The plot and characters were very well written. It’s a page turner. Great epilogue.

Cat and Elio had been in an arranged marriage since they were children. However, a tragic accident occurred killing both of their parents. Now both sides believe the accident was the other’s fault and everyone wants revenge. Elio is the head of his family and Cat’s brother the head of hers, both agree to reinstate the marriage contract to bring peace. Although, both families are still looking to seek revenge. This story has action, drama, suspense and spice.

This was a good story that kept my attention throughout. The characters were different than I thought they would be, and that was refreshing. The MMC was ruthless when needed. But inside, he was a family man through and through. Kind of a secret cinnamon roll under the tough guy wrapper. 😋 The females were feisty, independent badasses, and I loved that! I'm looking forward to learning more about the other family members in the next books.
